Livre d'Ézéchiel 12

JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 Fils d'homme, tu habites au milieu d'une engeance de rebelles qui ont des yeux pour voir et nevoient point, des oreilles pour entendre et n'entendent point, car c'est une engeance de rebelles.	2 'Son of man, you are living among a tribe of rebels who have eyes and never see, they have ears andnever hear, because they are a tribe of rebels.
3 Et toi, fils d'homme, fais-toi un bagage d'exilé et pars en exil sous leurs yeux. Tu partiras du lieuoù tu te trouves vers un autre lieu, à leurs yeux. Peut-être reconnaîtront-ils qu'ils sont une engeance de rebelles.	3 So, son of man, pack an exile's bundle and set off for exile by daylight while they watch. You will leaveyour home and go somewhere else while they watch. Then perhaps they will see that they are a tribe of rebels.
4 Tu arrangeras tes affaires comme un bagage d'exilé, de jour, à leurs yeux. Et toi, tu sortiras le soir,à leurs yeux, comme sortent les exilés.	4 You will pack your baggage like an exile's bundle, by daylight, while they watch, and leave like an exilein the evening, while they watch.
5 A leurs yeux, fais un trou dans le mur, par où tu sortiras.	5 While they watch, make a hole in the wal , and go out through it.
6 A leurs yeux, tu chargeras ton ballot sur l'épaule et tu sortiras dans l'obscurité; tu te couvriras levisage pour ne pas voir le pays, car j'ai fait de toi un présage pour la maison d'Israël.	6 While they watch, you wil shoulder your pack and go out into the dark; you wil cover your face so thatyou cannot see the ground, since I have made you an omen for the House of Israel.'
7 J'agis donc selon l'ordre que j'avais reçu: j'arrangeai mes affaires comme un bagage d'exilé, dejour, et le soir je fis un trou dans le mur avec la main; puis je sortis dans l'obscurité et je chargeai mon ballot surl'épaule, à leurs yeux.	7 I did as I had been told. I packed my baggage like an exile's bundle, by daylight; and in the evening Imade a hole through the wall with my hands; then I went out into the dark and shouldered my pack while theywatched.
8 Alors la parole de Yahvé me fut adressée, le matin, en ces termes:	8 Next morning the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
9 Fils d'homme, la maison d'Israël, cette engeance de rebelles, ne t'a-t-elle pas dit: "Que fais-tu là?"	9 'Son of man, did not the House of Israel, did not that tribe of rebels, ask you, "What are you doing?"
10 Dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Cet oracle est prononcé à Jérusalem et dans toute lamaison d'Israël où ils résident.	10 Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: This prophecy concerns Jerusalem and the whole House of Israelwho live there."
11 Dis: Je suis votre présage; comme j'ai fait, il leur sera fait; ils iront en déportation, en exil.	11 Say, "I am an omen for you; as I have done, so wil be done to them; they will be deported into exile.
12 Le prince qui est parmi eux chargera son bagage sur ses épaules, dans l'obscurité, et sortira par lemur qu'on percera pour faire une sortie; il se couvrira le visage pour ne pas voir de ses yeux le pays.	12 Their prince wil shoulder his pack in the dark and go out through the wal ; a hole will be made to lethim out; he wil cover his face, so that he cannot see the country.
13 J'étendrai mon filet sur lui et il sera pris dans mon rets; je le mènerai à Babylone, au pays desChaldéens, mais il ne le verra pas et il y mourra.	13 I shal throw my net over him and catch him in my mesh; I shall take him to Babylon, to the land ofthe Chaldaeans, though he wil not see it; and there he wil die.
14 Tout ce qui forme son entourage, sa garde et toutes ses troupes, je les disperserai à tous les ventset je tirerai l'épée derrière eux.	14 And al those in attendance on him, his army and al his troops, I shal scatter to al the winds andunsheathe the sword behind them.
15 Et ils sauront que je suis Yahvé lorsque je les disséminerai parmi les nations et que je lesdisperserai dans les pays étrangers.	15 Then they wil know that I am Yahweh, when I scatter them throughout the nations and disperse themin foreign countries.
16 Mais je laisserai quelques-uns d'entre eux qui échapperont à l'épée, à la famine et à la peste pourraconter toutes leurs abominations parmi les nations où ils se rendront, afin qu'elles sachent que je suis Yahvé.	16 But I shall let a few of them escape the sword, famine and plague, to describe al their loathsomepractices to the peoples among whom they wil go, so that these too may know that I am Yahweh." '
17 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:	17 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
18 Fils d'homme, tu mangeras ton pain en tremblant et tu boiras ton eau dans l'inquiétude etl'angoisse:	18 'Son of man, you are to tremble as you eat your food and shudder apprehensively as you drink yourwater,
19 et tu diras au peuple du pays: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé aux habitants de Jérusalemdispersés sur le sol d'Israël: ils mangeront leur pain dans l'angoisse, ils boiront leur eau avec effroi, afin que lepays et ceux qui s'y trouvent soient débarrassés de la violence de tous ses habitants.	19 and you are to say to the people of the country, "The Lord Yahweh says this to the inhabitants ofJerusalem. They wil shudder apprehensively as they eat their food, and drink their water in fear, so that thecountry and its population may be freed from the violence of its inhabitants.
20 Les villes peuplées seront détruites, le pays deviendra une désolation et vous saurez que je suisYahvé.	20 When the populous cities have been destroyed and the country has been reduced to desert, then youwil know that I am Yahweh." '
21 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:	21 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
22 Fils d'homme, que voulez-vous dire par ce proverbe prononcé sur la terre d'Israël: Les jourss'ajoutent aux jours et toute vision s'évanouit?	22 'Son of man, what do you understand by the saying pronounced over the land of Israel, "Days go byand visions fade"?
23 Eh bien! dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Je ferai taire ce proverbe, on ne le répétera plusen Israël. Mais dis-leur: Les jours approchent où toute vision s'accomplit,	23 'Very wel , tell them, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shal put an end to this saying; it will never beused in Israel again." Instead, tel them: "The days are coming when every vision wil come true,
24 car il n'y aura plus ni vision vaine ni présage trompeur au milieu de la maison d'Israël,	24 for there will be no more futile visions or deceptive prophecy in the House of Israel,
25 car c'est moi, Yahvé, qui parlerai. Ce que je dis est dit et s'accomplira sans délai; car c'est devotre temps, engeance de rebelles, que je prononcerai une parole et que je la réaliserai, oracle du SeigneurYahvé.	25 since I, Yahweh, shal speak. And what I shal say wil come true without delay; for what I shall say, Ishall perform in your own lifetime, you tribe of rebels -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
26 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:	26 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,
27 Fils d'homme, voici que la maison d'Israël dit: "La vision que celui-là voit est pour une époquelointaine; il prophétise pour un avenir éloigné."	27 'Son of man, the House of Israel is now saying, "The vision that this man sees concerns the distantfuture; he is prophesying for times far ahead."
28 Eh bien! Dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Il n'y a plus de délai pour toutes mes paroles.Ce que je dis est dit et se réalisera, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.	28 Very wel , tell them, "The Lord Yahweh says this: There wil be no further delay in the fulfil ing of anyof my words. What I have said shal be done now -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
