1 Au huitième jour Moïse convoqua Aaron, ses fils et les anciens d'Israël;	1 Then, the eighth day having arrived, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and those greater by birth from Israel, and he said to Aaron:
2 il dit à Aaron: "Prends un veau pour faire un sacrifice pour le péché et un bélier pour unholocauste, l'un et l'autre sans défaut, et amène-les devant Yahvé."	2 “Take a calf for sin from the herd, and a ram as a holocaust, both immaculate, and offer them in the sight of the Lord.
3 Tu diras ensuite aux enfants d'Israël: "Prenez un bouc pour offrir un sacrifice pour le péché, unveau et un agneau d'un an (tous deux sans défaut) pour un holocauste,	3 And to the sons of Israel, you shall say: ‘Take a he-goat for sin, and a calf as well as a lamb, both one-year-old and without blemish, as a holocaust.
4 un taureau et un bélier pour des sacrifices de communion à immoler devant Yahvé, enfin uneoblation pétrie à l'huile. Aujourd'hui en effet Yahvé vous apparaîtra."	4 Take also an ox and a ram for peace offerings. And immolate them before the Lord, offering with the sacrifice of each one fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil. For today the Lord will appear to you.’ ”
5 Ils amenèrent devant la Tente du Rendez-vous ce qu'avait commandé Moïse, puis toute lacommunauté s'approcha et se tint devant Yahvé.	5 And so they brought everything that Moses had ordered before the door of the tabernacle, where, when all the multitude stood together,
6 Moïse dit: "Voici ce que Yahvé vous a ordonné de faire pour que sa gloire vous apparaisse."	6 Moses said: “This is the word, which the Lord has instructed. Accomplish it, and his glory will appear to you.”
7 Moïse alors s'adressa à Aaron: "Approche-toi de l'autel, offre ton sacrifice pour le péché et tonholocauste, et fais ainsi le rite d'expiation pour toi et pour ta maison. Présente alors l'offrande du peuple et faispour lui le rite d'expiation comme l'a ordonné Yahvé."	7 And he said to Aaron: “Approach toward the altar, and immolate on behalf of your sin. Offer the holocaust, and pray for yourself and for the people. And when you have slain the victim for the people, pray for them, just as the Lord has instructed.”
8 Aaron s'approcha de l'autel, immola le veau du sacrifice pour son propre péché.	8 And immediately Aaron, approaching toward the altar, immolated the calf for his sin.
9 Puis les fils d'Aaron lui présentèrent le sang; il y trempa le doigt et en déposa sur les cornes del'autel, puis il versa le sang à la base de l'autel.	9 And his sons brought its blood to him, and dipping his finger in it, he touched the horns of the altar, and he poured out the remainder at its base.
10 La graisse du sacrifice pour le péché, les rognons et la masse de graisse qui part du foie, il les fitfumer à l'autel comme Yahvé l'avait ordonné à Moïse;	10 And the fat, and the little kidneys, and the mesh of the liver, which are for sin, he burned upon the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
11 la chair et la peau, il les brûla hors du camp.	11 Yet truly, the flesh and its skins he burned with fire beyond the camp.
12 Il immola ensuite l'holocauste, dont les fils d'Aaron lui remirent le sang; il le fit couler sur lepourtour de l'autel.	12 He also immolated the victim of holocaust. And his sons brought its blood to him, which he poured out all around the altar.
13 Ils lui remirent aussi la victime dépecée en quartiers, ainsi que la tête, et il les fit fumer à l'autel.	13 And when the victim itself was cut into pieces, they brought him the head and each of the limbs, all of which he burned with fire upon the altar,
14 Il lava entrailles et pattes et les fit fumer à l'autel en plus de l'holocauste.	14 having first washed the intestines and the feet with water.
15 Il présenta alors l'offrande du peuple: il prit le bouc du sacrifice pour le péché du peuple, ill'immola et en fit un sacrifice pour le péché de la même manière que pour le premier.	15 And making an offering for the sin of the people, he slew the he-goat. And expiating the altar,
16 Il fit alors approcher l'holocauste et procéda selon la règle.	16 he accomplished the holocaust,
17 Puis, ayant fait approcher l'oblation, il en prit une pleine poignée qu'il fit fumer à l'autel en plusde l'holocauste du matin.	17 adding to it the sacrifice of the libations, which are to be offered together, and burning them upon the altar, separately from the ceremonies of the morning holocaust.
18 Enfin il immola le taureau et le bélier en sacrifice de communion pour le peuple. Les fils d'Aaronlui en remirent le sang et il le fit couler sur le pourtour de l'autel.	18 He also immolated the ox, as well as the ram, as peace offerings for the people. And his sons brought him the blood, which he poured out upon the altar all around.
19 Les graisses de ce taureau et de ce bélier, la queue, la graisse enveloppante, les rognons, la massede graisse qui part du foie,	19 Then the fat of the ox, and the rump of the ram, and the two little kidneys with their fat, and the mesh of the liver,
20 il les posa sur les poitrines et les fit fumer à l'autel.	20 they placed upon the breasts. And when the fat had been burned upon the altar,
21 Avec les poitrines et la cuisse droite Aaron fit le geste de présentation devant Yahvé, commeYahvé l'avait ordonné à Moïse.	21 Aaron separated their breasts and the right shoulders, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord, as Moses had instructed.
22 Aaron éleva les mains vers le peuple et le bénit. Ayant ainsi accompli le sacrifice pour le péché,l'holocauste et le sacrifice de communion, il descendit;	22 And extending his hands to the people, he blessed them. And so, the victims for sin, and the holocausts, and the peace offerings being completed, he descended.
23 avec Moïse il entra dans la Tente du Rendez-vous. Puis ils en sortirent tous deux pour bénir lepeuple. La gloire de Yahvé apparut à tout le peuple,	23 Then Moses and Aaron entered the tabernacle of the testimony, and afterwards came out and blessed the people. And the glory of the Lord appeared to the entire multitude.
24 une flamme jaillit de devant Yahvé, qui dévora sur l'autel l'holocauste et les graisses. A cette vuele peuple entier poussa des cris de jubilation et tous tombèrent la face contre terre.	24 And, behold, a fire from the Lord devoured the holocaust, and the fat which was on the altar. When the crowd had seen this, they praised the Lord, falling on their faces.
