Lévitique 27

1 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:	1 The LORD said to Moses,
2 Parle aux Israélites, tu leur diras: Si quelqu'un veut s'acquitter envers Yahvé du voeu qu'il a faitde la valeur d'une personne,	2 "Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When anyone fulfills a vow of offering one or more persons to the LORD, who are to be ransomed at a fixed sum of money,
3 un homme entre vingt et 60 ans sera estimé à 50 sicles d'argent -- sicle du sanctuaire --	3 for persons between the ages of twenty and sixty, the fixed sum, in sanctuary shekels, shall be fifty silver shekels for a man,
4 pour une femme l'estimation sera de 30 sicles;	4 and thirty shekels for a woman;
5 entre cinq et vingt ans, le garçon sera estimé à vingt sicles et la fille à dix sicles;	5 for persons between the ages of five and twenty, the fixed sum shall be twenty shekels for a youth, and ten for a maiden;
6 entre un mois et cinq ans, le garçon sera estimé à cinq sicles d'argent et la fille à trois siclesd'argent;	6 for persons between the ages of one month and five years, the fixed sum shall be five silver shekels for a boy, and three for a girl;
7 à 60 ans et au-dessus, l'homme sera estimé à quinze sicles et la femme à dix sicles.	7 for persons of sixty or more, the fixed sum shall be fifteen shekels for a man, and ten for a woman.
8 Si celui qui a voué est incapable de faire face à cette estimation, il présentera la personne auprêtre. Celui-ci fera l'estimation, mais il la fera selon les ressources de celui qui a voué.	8 However, if the one who took the vow is too poor to meet the fixed sum, the person must be set before the priest, who shall determine the sum for his ransom in keeping with the means of the one who made the vow.
9 S'il s'agit d'animaux dont on peut faire offrande à Yahvé, tout animal que l'on donne à Yahvésera chose consacrée.	9 "If the offering vowed to the LORD is an animal that may be sacrificed, every such animal, when vowed to the LORD, becomes sacred.
10 On ne pourra ni le changer ni le remplacer, mettre un bon pour un mauvais ou un mauvais pourun bon. Si l'on substitue un animal à un autre, l'un et l'autre seront choses consacrées.	10 The offerer shall not present a substitute for it by exchanging either a better for a worse one or a worse for a better one. If he attempts to offer one animal in place of another, both the original and its substitute shall be treated as sacred.
11 S'il s'agit d'un animal impur dont on ne peut faire offrande à Yahvé, quel qu'il soit, on leprésentera au prêtre	11 If the animal vowed to the LORD is unclean and therefore unfit for sacrifice, it must be set before the priest,
12 et celui-ci en fera l'estimation, le jugeant bon ou mauvais; on s'en tiendra à son estimation,	12 who shall determine its value in keeping with its good or bad qualities, and the value set by the priest shall stand.
13 mais si l'on veut le racheter, on majorera cette estimation d'un cinquième.	13 If the offerer wishes to redeem the animal, he shall pay one fifth more than this valuation.
14 Si un homme consacre sa maison à Yahvé, le prêtre en fera l'estimation, la jugeant de grande oude faible valeur. On s'en tiendra à l'estimation du prêtre,	14 "When someone dedicates his house as sacred to the LORD, the priest shall determine its value in keeping with its good or bad points, and the value set by the priest shall stand.
15 mais si cet homme qui a voué la maison la veut racheter, il majorera cette estimation d'uncinquième et elle lui reviendra.	15 If the one who dedicated his house wishes to redeem it, he shall pay one fifth more than the price thus established, and then it will again be his.
16 Si un homme consacre à Yahvé l'un des champs de son patrimoine, l'estimation en sera faite enfonction de son produit à raison de 50 sicles d'argent pour un muid d'orge.	16 "If the object which someone dedicates to the LORD is a piece of his hereditary land, its valuation shall be made according to the amount of seed required to sow it, the acreage sown with a homer of barley seed being valued at fifty silver shekels.
17 S'il consacre le champ pendant l'année jubilaire, on s'en tiendra à cette estimation;	17 If the dedication of a field is made at the beginning of a jubilee period, the full valuation shall hold;
18 mais s'il le consacre après le jubilé, le prêtre en calculera le prix en fonction des années restant àcourir jusqu'à celle du jubilé et une déduction sera faite sur l'estimation.	18 but if it is some time after this, the priest shall estimate its money value according to the number of years left until the next jubilee year, with a corresponding rebate on the valuation.
19 S'il veut racheter le champ, il majorera l'estimation d'un cinquième et le champ lui reviendra.	19 If the one who dedicated his field wishes to redeem it, he shall pay one fifth more than the price thus established, and so reclaim it.
20 S'il ne le rachète pas mais le vend à un autre, le droit de rachat s'éteint;	20 If, instead of redeeming such a field, he sells it to someone else, it may no longer be redeemed;
21 quand à l'année jubilaire l'acquéreur devra l'abandonner, ce sera chose consacrée à Yahvé, telun champ dévoué par anathème: la propriété de cet homme passe au prêtre.	21 but at the jubilee it shall be released as sacred to the LORD; like a field that is doomed, it shall become priestly property.
22 S'il consacre à Yahvé un champ qu'il a acquis mais qui ne fait pas partie de son patrimoine,	22 "If the field that some man dedicates to the LORD is one he had purchased and not a part of his hereditary property,
23 le prêtre en calculera le prix d'estimation en fonction du temps à courir jusqu'à l'année jubilaire,et l'homme en versera le montant ce jour même à titre de chose consacrée à Yahvé.	23 the priest shall compute its value in proportion to the number of years until the next jubilee, and on the same day the price thus established shall be given as sacred to the LORD;
24 Lors de l'année jubilaire le champ reviendra au vendeur, à celui dont c'est la propriété dans lepays.	24 at the jubilee, however, the field shall revert to the hereditary owner of this land from whom it had been purchased.
25 Toute estimation sera faite en sicles du sanctuaire, vingt géras valant un sicle.	25 "Every valuation shall be made according to the standard of the sanctuary shekel. There are twenty gerahs to the shekel.
26 Nul, toutefois, ne pourra de son bétail consacrer un premier-né qui de droit appartient à Yahvé;gros ou petit bétail, il appartient à Yahvé.	26 "Note that a first-born animal, which as such already belongs to the LORD, may not be dedicated by vow to him. If it is an ox or a sheep, it shall be ceded to the LORD;
27 Mais si c'est un animal impur on pourra le racheter au prix d'une estimation majorée d'uncinquième; s'il n'est pas racheté, l'animal sera vendu au prix de l'estimation.	27 but if it is an unclean animal, it may be redeemed by paying one fifth more than its fixed value. If it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at its fixed value.
28 Cependant rien de ce qu'un homme dévoue par anathème à Yahvé ne peut être vendu ouracheté, rien de ce qu'il peut posséder en hommes, bêtes ou champs patrimoniaux. Tout anathème est chose trèssainte qui appartient à Yahvé.	28 "Note, also, that any one of his possessions which a man vows as doomed to the LORD, whether it is a human being or an animal or a hereditary field, shall be neither sold nor ransomed; everything that is thus doomed becomes most sacred to the LORD.
29 Aucun être humain dévoué par anathème ne pourra être racheté, il sera mis à mort.	29 All human beings that are doomed lose the right to be redeemed; they must be put to death.
30 Toute dîme du pays prélevée sur les produits de la terre ou sur les fruits des arbres appartient àYahvé; c'est une chose consacrée à Yahvé.	30 "All tithes of the land, whether in grain from the fields or in fruit from the trees, belong to the LORD, as sacred to him.
31 Si un homme veut racheter une partie de sa dîme, il en majorera la valeur d'un cinquième.	31 If someone wishes to buy back any of his tithes, he shall pay one fifth more than their value.
32 En toute dîme de gros et de petit bétail, sera chose consacrée à Yahvé le dixième de tout ce quipasse sous la houlette.	32 The tithes of the herd and the flock shall be determined by ceding to the LORD as sacred every tenth animal as they are counted by the herdsman's rod.
33 On ne triera pas le bon et le mauvais, on ne fera pas de substitution: si l'on en fait une, l'animalet son remplaçant seront choses consacrées sans possibilité de rachat.	33 It shall not matter whether good ones or bad ones are thus chosen, and no exchange may be made. If any exchange is attempted, both the original animal and its substitute shall be treated as sacred, without the right of being bought back."
34 Tels sont les ordres que Yahvé donna à Moïse sur le mont Sinaï à l'intention des Israélites.	34 These are the commandments which the LORD gave Moses on Mount Sinai for the Israelites.
