Lévitique 1

JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Yahvé appela Moïse et, de la Tente du Rendez-vous, lui parla et lui dit:	1 Yahweh summoned Moses and, speaking to him from the Tent of Meeting, said,
2 Parle aux Israélites; tu leur diras: Quand l'un de vous présentera une offrande à Yahvé, vouspourrez faire cette offrande en bétail, gros ou petit.	2 'Speak to the Israelites; say to them, "When any of you brings an offering to Yahweh, he can offer ananimal either from the herd or from the flock.
3 Si son offrande consiste en un holocauste de gros bétail, il offrira un mâle sans défaut; il l'offrira àl'entrée de la Tente du Rendez-vous, pour qu'il soit agréé devant Yahvé.	3 "If his offering is to be a burnt offering from the herd, he must offer an unblemished male; he wil offer itat the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to make it acceptable to Yahweh.
4 Il posera la main sur la tête de la victime et celle-ci sera agréée pour que l'on fasse sur lui le rited'expiation.	4 He must lay his hand on the victim's head, and it will be accepted as effectual for his expiation.
5 Puis il immolera le taureau devant Yahvé, et les fils d'Aaron, les prêtres, offriront le sang. Ils leferont couler sur le pourtour de l'autel qui se trouve à l'entrée de la Tente du Rendez-vous.	5 He wil then slaughter the bul before Yahweh, and the priests descended from Aaron wil offer theblood. They wil pour it all around the altar which stands at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
6 Il écorchera ensuite la victime, la dépècera par quartiers,	6 He wil then skin the victim and quarter it.
7 les fils d'Aaron, les prêtres, apporteront du feu sur l'autel et disposeront du bois sur ce feu.	7 The priests descended from Aaron will put a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
8 Puis les fils d'Aaron, les prêtres, disposeront quartiers, tête et graisse au-dessus du bois placé surle feu de l'autel.	8 The priests descended from Aaron will then arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood onthe fire on the altar.
9 L'homme lavera dans l'eau les entrailles et les pattes et le prêtre fera fumer le tout à l'autel. Cetholocauste sera un mets consumé en parfum d'apaisement pour Yahvé.	9 He wil wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it all on the altar as a burnt offering,food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
10 Si son offrande consiste en petit bétail, agneau ou chevreau offert en holocauste, c'est un mâlesans défaut qu'il offrira.	10 "If his offering is to be of an animal from the flock, of a lamb or a goat to be offered as a burnt offering,he must offer an unblemished male.
11 Il l'immolera sur le côté nord de l'autel, devant Yahvé, et les fils d'Aaron, les prêtres, ferontcouler le sang sur le pourtour de l'autel.	11 He will slaughter it on the north side of the altar, before Yahweh, and the priests descended fromAaron will pour the blood al around the altar.
12 Puis il le dépècera par quartiers et le prêtre disposera ceux-ci, ainsi que la tête et la graisse, au-dessus du bois placé sur le feu de l'autel.	12 He will then quarter it, and the priest wil arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood on thefire on the altar.
13 L'homme lavera dans l'eau les entrailles et les pattes et le prêtre offrira le tout qu'il fera fumer àl'autel. Cet holocauste sera un mets consumé en parfum d'apaisement pour Yahvé.	13 He will wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it al on the altar as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
14 Si son offrande à Yahvé consiste en un holocauste d'oiseau, il offrira une tourterelle ou unpigeon.	14 "If his offering to Yahweh is to be a burnt offering of a bird, he must offer a turtledove or a youngpigeon.
15 Le prêtre l'offrira à l'autel, et, en pinçant le cou, il arrachera la tête qu'il fera fumer à l'autel; puisle sang en sera exprimé sur la paroi de l'autel.	15 The priest wil offer it at the altar and wring off its head, which he wil burn on the altar; its blood mustthen be squeezed out on the side of the altar.
16 Il en détachera alors le jabot et le plumage; il les jettera du côté est de l'autel, à l'endroit où l'ondépose les cendres grasses.	16 He will then remove the crop and the feathers and throw them on the eastern side of the altar, wherethe fatty ashes are put.
17 Il fendra l'animal en deux moitiés, une aile de part et d'autre, mais sans les séparer. Le prêtre feraalors fumer l'animal à l'autel, sur le bois placé sur le feu. Cet holocauste sera un mets consumé en parfumd'apaisement pour Yahvé.	17 He will then split it in half with a wing on each side, but without separating the two parts. The priest wilthen burn it on the altar, on the wood which is on the fire, as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh." '
