| 3 C'est mon Dieu fort, j'espérerai en Lui; Il est mon bouclier et mon salut; Il m'élève en haut, Il est mon refuge. Mon Sauveur, Vous me délivrerez de l'iniquité. | 3 my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior; thou savest me from violence. |

| 7 Dans ma tribulation j'invoquerai le Seigneur, et je crierai vers mon Dieu; et de Son temple Il entendra ma voix, et mes cris viendront à Ses oreilles. | 7 "In my distress I called upon the LORD; to my God I called. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry came to his ears. |
| 8 La terre s'est émue, et a tremblé, les fondements des montagnes ont été agités et ébranlés, parce que le Seigneur était irrité contre eux. | 8 "Then the earth reeled and rocked; the foundations of the heavens trembled and quaked, because he was angry. |
| 9 La fumée est montée de Ses narines, un feu dévorant est sorti de Sa bouche, et des charbons en ont été embrasés. | 9 Smoke went up from his nostrils, and devouring fire from his mouth; glowing coals flamed forth from him. |
| 10 Il a abaissé les cieux, et Il est descendu; une épaisse nuée était sous Ses pieds. | 10 He bowed the heavens, and came down; thick darkness was under his feet. |
| 11 Il est monté sur les chérubins et a pris Son vol; Il a volé sur les ailes des vents. | 11 He rode on a cherub, and flew; he was seen upon the wings of the wind. |
| 12 Il s'est caché dans les ténèbres qui L'environnaient; Il a fait distiller les eaux des nuées du ciel. | 12 He made darkness around him his canopy, thick clouds, a gathering of water. |
| 13 L'éclat qui brille devant Lui a allumé des charbons de feu. | 13 Out of the brightness before him coals of fire flamed forth. |
| 14 Le Seigneur a tonné du ciel, le Très-Haut a fait retentir Sa voix. | 14 The LORD thundered from heaven, and the Most High uttered his voice. |
| 15 Il a lancé des flèches, et Il a dispersé mes ennemis; Ses foudres, et Il les a consumés. | 15 And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and routed them. |
| 16 La mer s'est ouverte jusqu'aux abîmes, et les fondements du monde ont été découverts, à cause des menaces du Seigneur, et du souffle des tempêtes de Sa colère. | 16 Then the channels of the sea were seen, the foundations of the world were laid bare, at the rebuke of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils. |
| 17 Il a étendu Sa main des hauteurs du ciel; Il m'a saisi, et m'a retiré du milieu des eaux. | 17 "He reached from on high, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. |
| 18 Il m'a délivré d'un ennemi très puissant, et de ceux qui me haïssaient; car ils étaient plus forts que moi. | 18 He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me. |
| 19 Il m'a prévenu au jour de mon affliction, et le Seigneur a été mon ferme appui. | 19 They came upon me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was my stay. |
| 20 Il m'a mis au large; Il m'a délivré, parce que je Lui ai plu. | 20 He brought me forth into a broad place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. |
| 21 Le Seigneur me rendra selon ma justice, et Il me traitera selon la pureté de mes mains. | 21 "The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he recompensed me. |
| 22 Car j'ai gardé les voies du Seigneur, et je n'ai pas été impie envers mon Dieu. | 22 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. |
| 23 Toutes Ses ordonnances ont été devant moi, et je ne me suis pas détourné de Ses préceptes. | 23 For all his ordinances were before me, and from his statutes I did not turn aside. |
| 24 Je serai parfait avec Lui; je me tiendrai sur mes gardes contre mon iniquité. | 24 I was blameless before him, and I kept myself from guilt. |
| 25 Et le Seigneur me rendra selon ma justice, et selon que mes mains seront pures devant Ses yeux. | 25 Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in his sight. |
| 26 Vous serez saint avec les saints, et parfait avec les forts. | 26 "With the loyal thou dost show thyself loyal; with the blameless man thou dost show thyself blameless; |
| 27 Vous serez pur avec les purs, et Vous paraîtrez méchant avec les méchants. | 27 with the pure thou dost show thyself pure, and with the crooked thou dost show thyself perverse. |
| 28 Vous sauverez le pauvre peuple, et de Vos regards Vous humilierez les superbes. | 28 Thou dost deliver a humble people, but thy eyes are upon the haughty to bring them down. |
| 29 Seigneur, Vous êtes ma lampe, c'est Vous, Seigneur, qui éclairez mes ténèbres. | 29 Yea, thou art my lamp, O LORD, and my God lightens my darkness. |
| 30 Par Vous je cours tout prêt à combattre; avec mon Dieu je franchis la muraille. | 30 Yea, by thee I can crush a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. |
| 31 La voie de Dieu est irrépréhensible; la parole du Seigneur est éprouvée par le feu; Il est le bouclier de tous ceux qui espèrent en Lui. | 31 This God--his way is perfect; the promise of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. |
| 32 Qui est Dieu si ce n'est le Seigneur? qui est fort si ce n'est notre Dieu? | 32 "For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? |
| 33 C'est Lui qui m'a revêtu de force, qui a aplani la voie parfaite où je marche; | 33 This God is my strong refuge, and has made my way safe. |
| 34 qui a rendu mes pieds aussi agiles que ceux des cerfs, et qui m'a placé sur mes lieux élevés; | 34 He made my feet like hinds' feet, and set me secure on the heights. |
| 35 qui instruit mes mains à combattre, et qui rend mes bras fermes comme un arc d'airain. | 35 He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. |
| 36 Vous m'avez donné le bouclier de Votre protection, et Votre bonté m'a grandi. | 36 Thou hast given me the shield of thy salvation, and thy help made me great. |
| 37 Vous avez élargi le chemin sous mes pas, et mes pieds n'ont point chancelé. | 37 Thou didst give a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip; |
| 38 Je poursuivrai mes ennemis, et je les détruirai; je ne reviendrai pas sans les avoir anéantis. | 38 I pursued my enemies and destroyed them, and did not turn back until they were consumed. |
| 39 Je les anéantirai, et je les briserai, sans qu'ils puissent se relever; ils tomberont sous mes pieds. | 39 I consumed them; I thrust them through, so that they did not rise; they fell under my feet. |
| 40 Vous m'avez revêtu de force pour le combat; Vous avez fait plier sous moi ceux qui me résistaient. | 40 For thou didst gird me with strength for the battle; thou didst make my assailants sink under me. |
| 41 Vous avez fait tourner le dos à mes ennemis, à ceux qui me haïssaient et je les exterminerai. | 41 Thou didst make my enemies turn their backs to me, those who hated me, and I destroyed them. |
| 42 Ils crieront, et personne ne les sauvera; ils crieront au Seigneur, et Il ne les écoutera point. | 42 They looked, but there was none to save; they cried to the LORD, but he did not answer them. |
| 43 Je les broierai comme la poussière de la terre; je les écraserai, et je les foulerai comme la boue des rues. | 43 I beat them fine as the dust of the earth, I crushed them and stamped them down like the mire of the streets. |
| 44 Vous me délivrerez des contradictions de mon peuple; Vous me conserverez pour être le chef des nations; un peuple que j'ignore me sera asservi. | 44 "Thou didst deliver me from strife with the peoples; thou didst keep me as the head of the nations; people whom I had not known served me. |
| 45 Des enfants étrangers me résisteront; mais ils m'obéiront en entendant ma voix. | 45 Foreigners came cringing to me; as soon as they heard of me, they obeyed me. |
| 46 Les enfants étrangers se fondront comme la cire, et ils trembleront de peur dans leurs retraites cachées. | 46 Foreigners lost heart, and came trembling out of their fastnesses. |
| 47 Vive le Seigneur, et que mon Dieu soit béni; que le Dieu fort, le Dieu qui me sauve soit glorifié. | 47 "The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock, and exalted be my God, the rock of my salvation, |
| 48 C'est Vous, mon Dieu, qui me vengez, et qui abattez les peuples sous moi; | 48 the God who gave me vengeance and brought down peoples under me, |
| 49 qui me délivrez de mes ennemis, qui m'élevez au-dessus de ceux qui me résistent; Vous me sauverez de l'homme injuste. | 49 who brought me out from my enemies; thou didst exalt me above my adversaries, thou didst deliver me from men of violence. |
| 50 C'est pourquoi je Vous louerai, Seigneur, parmi les nations, et je chanterai en l'honneur de Votre nom; | 50 "For this I will extol thee, O LORD, among the nations, and sing praises to thy name. |
| 51 Vous qui accordez de grandes délivrances à Votre roi, qui faites miséricorde à David Votre oint, et à sa race à tout jamais. | 51 Great triumphs he gives to his king, and shows steadfast love to his anointed, to David, and his descendants for ever." |
