| 3 Tu leur as montré ta sainteté dans ce qui nous est arrivé, fais-nous voir maintenant ta grandeur en agissant chez elles. | 3 Lift up thy hand against foreign nations and let them see thy might. |
| 4 Fais qu’elles te reconnaissent, comme nous t’avons reconnu: car il n’y a pas d’autre Dieu que toi, Seigneur! | 4 As in us thou hast been sanctified before them, so in them be thou magnified before us; |
| 5 Donne de nouveaux signes, renouvelle tes merveilles, montre ta gloire en agissant et frappant. | 5 and let them know thee, as we have known that there is not God but thee, O Lord. |
| 6 Ravive ta fureur et déverse ta colère; détruis l’adversaire et supprime l’ennemi. | 6 Show signs anew, and work further wonders; make thy hand and thy right arm glorious. |
| 7 Hâte le jour, souviens-toi de ton serment, et qu’on puisse bientôt raconter tes hauts faits. | 7 Rouse thy anger and pour out thy wrath; destroy the adversary and wipe out the enemy. |
| 8 Que les survivants soient la proie du feu, que périssent les oppresseurs de ton peuple! | 8 Hasten the day, and remember the appointed time, and let people recount thy mighty deeds. |
| 9 Brise la tête des ennemis, de leurs chefs qui disent: “Il n’y a que nous!” | 9 Let him who survives be consumed in the fiery wrath, and may those who harm thy people meet destruction. |
| 10 Rassemble toutes les tribus de Jacob, et donne-leur comme au commencement leur héritage. | 10 Crush the heads of the rulers of the enemy, who say, "There is no one but ourselves." |
| 11 Prends pitié, Seigneur, de ce peuple qui porte ton Nom! pitié pour Israël que tu as considéré comme ton premier-né! | 11 Gather all the tribes of Jacob, and give them their inheritance, as at the beginning. |
| 12 Aie compassion de ta Ville sainte, de Jérusalem, le lieu de ton repos. | 12 Have mercy, O Lord, upon the people called by thy name, upon Israel, whom thou hast likened to a first-born son. |
| 13 Remplis Sion du récit de tes merveilles, et ton peuple de ta gloire. | 13 Have pity on the city of thy sanctuary, Jerusalem, the place of thy rest. |
| 14 Confirme les promesses que tu fis au début, et fais réapparaître les prophéties en ton nom. | 14 Fill Zion with the celebration of thy wondrous deeds, and thy temple with thy glory. |
| 15 Donne leur salaire à ceux qui t’ont attendu, et montre que tes prophètes disaient vrai. | 15 Bear witness to those whom thou didst create in the beginning, and fulfil the prophecies spoken in thy name. |
| 16 Exauce, Seigneur, la prière de tes serviteurs, écoute tes prêtres quand ils donnent à ton peuple la bénédiction d’Aaron. | 16 Reward those who wait for thee, and let thy prophets be found trustworthy. |
| 17 Et que tous sur terre reconnaissent que tu es le Seigneur, le Dieu éternel! | 17 Hearken, O Lord, to the prayer of thy servants, according to the blessing of Aaron for thy people, and all who are on the earth will know that thou art the Lord, the God of the ages. |

| 24 Celui qui a pris femme a commencé à s’enrichir; il a une aide semblable à lui, une colonne pour s’y appuyer. | 24 He who acquires a wife gets his best possession, a helper fit for him and a pillar of support. |
| 25 Un domaine non clôturé attire les pillards: là où manque la femme on gémit et on va à l’aventure. | 25 Where there is no fence, the property will be plundered; and where there is no wife, a man will wander about and sigh. |
| 26 Qui ferait confiance à un voleur habile courant de ville en ville? | 26 For who will trust a nimble robber that skips from city to city? So who will trust a man that has no home, and lodges wherever night finds him? |
