1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:	1 Habla de lo que es conforme a la sana doctrina.
2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.	2 Que los ancianos sean sobrios, respetables, sensatos, sanos en la fe, en el amor y en la paciencia.
3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;	3 Las ancianas, igualmente, sean, en su comportamiento, como conviene a personas religiosas; no sean calumniadoras, ni se envicien con el vino; sean maestras del bien,
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,	4 que inspiren buenos principios a las jóvenes, enseñándoles a amar a sus maridos y a sus hijos,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.	5 a ser sensatas, puras, a cuidar de la casa, a ser bondadosas y sumisas a sus maridos, para que la palabra de Dios no sea maldecida.
6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.	6 A los jóvenes exhórtalos también a que sean sensatos.
7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,	7 Muéstrate en todo como un modelo de buena conducta; en la enseñanza sé íntegro y grave,
8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.	8 irreprochable en la sana doctrina, a fin de que los adversarios sientan vergüenza al no poder decir nada malo de nosotros.
9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;	9 Que los esclavos se sometan en todo a sus propios dueños, sean complacientes con ellos y no les lleven la contraria
10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.	10 ni les sustraigan nada, sino que les manifiesten total fidelidad, para que la enseñanza de Dios nuestro Salvador resplandezca en todo.
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,	11 Pues se ha manifestado la gracia de Dios, que trae la salvación para todos los hombres,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;	12 enseñándonos a que, renunciando a la impiedad y a los deseos mundanos, llevemos ya desde ahora una vida sobria, justa y piadosa,
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;	13 aguardando la dicha que esperamos y la manifestación de la gloria del gran Dios y Salvador nuestro, Jesucristo,
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.	14 el cual se entregó por nosotros para rescatarnos de toda iniquidad y purificar para sí un pueblo de su propiedad, dedicado enteramente a las buenas obras.
15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.	15 De esto es de lo que has de hablar. Exhorta y reprende con toda autoridad. Que nadie te menosprecie.
