1 La suerte de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, por clanes, le correspondió hacia la frontera de Edón, al sur del desierto de Sin en el extremo meridional.	1 And so, the lot of the sons of Judah, by their families, was this: from the border of Edom, to the desert of Sin toward the south, and even to the furthest part of the southern region.
2 Su límite por el Sur partía de la punta del mar de la Sal, desde la lengua de mar que mira hacia el Sur;	2 Its beginning was from the summit of the very salty sea, and from its bay, which looks toward the south.
3 luego se dirigía por el sur de la cuesta de Acrabín, pasaba hacia Sin y subía por el sur de Cadés Barnea; pasaba por Jesrón, subía hacia Adar y volvía hacia Carcá;	3 And it extends toward the ascent of the Scorpion, and it passes on to Sinai. And it ascends into Kadesh-barnea, and it passes through to Hezron, ascending to Addar, and encompassing Karka.
4 pasaba por Asmón, iba a salir al torrente de Egipto y terminaba en el mar. «Esa será vuestra frontera por el Sur».	4 And from there, it passes on to Azmon, and reaches to the torrent of Egypt. And its boundary shall be the great sea; this shall be the limit of the southern region.
5 Por el Este, el límite era el mar de la Sal hasta la desembocadura del Jordán. La frontera norte partía de la lengua de mar en la que desemboca el Jordán.	5 Yet truly, toward the east, the beginning shall be the very salty sea, even to the limit of the Jordan, and that which looks toward the north, from the bay of the sea, even to the same river Jordan.
6 Subía a Bet Joglá, pasaba al norte de Bet Arabá y subía hasta la Peña de Boján, hijo de Rubén.	6 And the border ascends into Beth-hoglah, and it crosses from the north into Beth-Arabah, ascending to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben.
7 El límite subía desde el valle de Acor hasta Debir y volvía al Norte hacia Guilgal, frente a la subida de Adumín, que está al sur del Torrente. El límite pasaba por el arroyo de En Semes y venía a salir a En Roguel.	7 And it reaches as far as the borders of Debara, from the Valley of Achor, to the north, looking toward Gilgal, which is opposite the Ascent of Adummim, on the southern part of the torrent. And it crosses the waters that are called the Fountain of the Sun. And its exit shall be at the Fountain of Rogel.
8 De allí subía por el valle de Ben Hinnón, por el sur del «Hombro del Jebuseo», es decir, por Jerusalén; subía el límite por el Oeste a la cima del monte frente al valle de Hinnón, hasta el extremo norte del valle de los Refaítas.	8 And it ascends by the steep valley of the son of Hinnom, from the side of the Jebusite, toward the south; this is Jerusalem. And from there, it raises itself to the top of the mountain, which is opposite Geennom to the west, at the top of the Valley of the Rephaim, to the north.
9 El límite torcía de la cumbre del monte hacia la fuente del arroyo de Neftoj y seguía hacia las ciudades del monte Efrón torciendo en dirección a Baalá, es decir, Quiriat Yearín.	9 And it passes through, from the top of the mountain, even to the fountain of the Water of Nephtoah. And it continues on, as far as the villages of mount Ephron. And it inclines toward Baalah, which is Kiriath-jearim, that is, the City of Forests.
10 De Baalá, el límite doblaba por el oeste hacia el Monte Seír y, pasando por la vertiente norte del monte Yearón (o sea, Quesalón), bajaba hasta Bet Semes y pasaba a Timná.	10 And it circles from Baalah, to the west, as far as mount Seir. And it passes by the side of mount Jearim, to the north, into Chesalon. And it descends into Beth-shemesh, and it passes through to Timnah.
11 Luego iba hacia el norte de Ecrón, doblaba hacia Sicarón, pasaba por el monte Baalá y salía a Yabneel. La frontera terminaba en el mar. El límite occidental era el Mar Grande.	11 And it continues on, toward the north, to a region beside Ekron. And it inclines toward Shikkeron, and it crosses to mount Baalah. And it extends into Jabneel, and the last part closes at the west with the great sea.
12 Esos eran los límites del territorio de los hijos de Judá, por clanes.	12 These are the borders of the sons of Judah, in their families, on all sides.
13 A Caleb, hijo de Jefuné, se le asignó un lote entre los hijos de Judá, como había mandado el Señor a Josué: Quiriat Arbá, la ciudad del padre de Anac, es decir, Hebrón.	13 Yet truly, to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a portion in the midst of the sons of Judah, just as the Lord had instructed him: the City of Arba, the father of Anak, which is Hebron.
14 Caleb echó de allí a los tres hijos de Anac: Sesay, Ajimán y Talmay, descendientes de Anac.	14 And Caleb destroyed from it the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, of the stock of Anak.
15 De allí se dirigió contra los habitantes de Debir, que antiguamente se llamaba Quiriat Séfer.	15 And ascending further from there, he came to the inhabitants of Debir, which before was called Kiriath-Sepher, that is, the City of Letters.
16 Entonces dijo Caleb: «Al que derrote a Quiriat Séfer y la tome, le doy por esposa a mi hija Axá».	16 And Caleb said, “Whoever will have struck down Kiriath-Sepher, and will have seized it, I will give to him Achsah, my daughter, as wife.”
17 El que la tomó fue Otoniel, hijo de Quenaz, hermano de Caleb, y este le dio por esposa a su hija Axá.	17 And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, the younger brother of Caleb, seized it. And he gave him Achsah, his daughter, as wife.
18 Cuando ella iba a casa del marido, este la instigó a que pidiera a su padre un campo. Ella se apeó del burro. Y Caleb le preguntó: «¿Qué te pasa?».	18 And as they were traveling together, she was urged by her husband that she ask her father for a field. And she sighed, as she was sitting on her donkey. And Caleb said to her, “What is it?”
19 Ella respondió: «Hazme un regalo; ya que me has dado el desierto del Negueb, dame fuentes de agua». Y él le dio las fuentes de arriba y las fuentes de abajo.	19 But she answered: “Give a blessing to me. You have given to me a southern and dry land; join to it also a watered land.” And so Caleb gave to her the watered land above and below it.
20 Esta fue la heredad de la tribu de los hijos de Judá, por clanes.	20 This is the possession of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families.
21 Poblaciones fronterizas de la tribu de los hijos de Judá:Por la frontera con Edón, en el Negueb: Cabsel, Éder, Yagur,	21 And the cities, from the furthest parts of the sons of Judah, beside the borders of Edom to the south, were: Kabzeel and Eder and Jagur,
22 Quiná, Dimoná, Adadá,	22 and Kinah and Dimonah and Adadah,
23 Quedes, Jasor, Yitnán,	23 and Kadesh and Hazor and Ithnan,
24 Zif, Télen, Bealot,	24 Ziph and Telem and Bealoth,
25 Jasor Jadatá, Queriyot Jesrón (o sea, Jasor),	25 new Hazor and Kerioth-Hezron, which is Hazor,
26 Amán, Semá, Moladá,	26 Amam, Shema, and Moladah,
27 Jasar Gadá, Jesmón, Bet Pélet,	27 and Hazar-gaddah and Heshmon and Bethpelet,
28 Jasar Sual, Berseba con sus aldeas,	28 and Hazar-shual and Beersheba and Biziothiah,
29 Balá, Iyín, Esen,	29 and Baalah and Iim and Ezem,
30 Eltolad, Quesil, Jormá,	30 and Eltolad and Chesil and Hormah,
31 Siquelag, Madmaná, Sansaná,	31 and Ziklag and Madmannah and Sansannah,
32 Lebaot, Siljín y En Rimón. En total, veintinueve ciudades con sus aldeas.	32 Lebaoth and Shilhim, and Ain and Rimmon. All the cities were twenty-nine, and their villages.
33 En la Sefelá: Estaol, Sorá, Asná,	33 Truly, in the plains, there were: Eshtaol and Zorah and Ashnah,
34 Zanoaj, En Ganín, Tapuaj, Enán,	34 and Zanoah and Engannim, and Tappuah and Enam,

36 Saarain, Aditain, Guederá, Guederotáyin: catorce ciudades con sus aldeas.	36 and Shaaraim and Adithaim, and Gederah and Gederothaim: fourteen cities, and their villages.
37 Senán, Jadasá, Migdal Gad,	37 Zenan and Hadashah and Middalgad,
38 Dilán, Mispé, Yoctel,	38 Dilean and Mizpeh and Joktheel,
39 Laquis, Boscat, Eglón,	39 Lachish and Bozkath and Eglon,
40 Cabón, Lajmás, Quitlís,	40 Cabbon and Lahmam and Chitlish,
41 Guederot, Bet Dagón, Nahamá, Maquedá: dieciséis ciudades con sus aldeas.	41 and Gederoth and Bethdagon, and Naamah and Makkedah: sixteen cities, and their villages.
42 Libná, Éter, Asán,	42 Libnah and Ether and Ashan,
43 Yiftaj, Asná, Nesib,	43 Iphtah and Ashnah and Nezib,
44 Queilá, Accib, Maresá: nueve ciudades con sus aldeas.	44 and Keilah and Achzib and Mareshah: nine cities, and their villages.
45 Ecrón con sus filiales y aldeas.	45 Ekron, with its towns and villages:
46 Desde Ecrón hasta el mar, todo lo que queda al lado de Asdod con sus aldeas.	46 from Ekron, as far as the sea, all that inclines toward Ashdod, and its villages.
47 Asdod con sus filiales y aldeas, Gaza con sus filiales y aldeas, hasta el torrente de Egipto, limitando con el Mar Grande.	47 Ashdod, with its towns and villages. Gaza, with its towns and villages, as far as the torrent of Egypt, with the great sea as its border.
48 En la montaña: Samir, Yatir, Socó,	48 And on the mountain, Shamir and Jattir and Socoh,
49 Danná, Quiriat Sanná (o sea, Debir),	49 and Dannah, and Kiriath-Sannah, which is Debir,

54 Jumtá, Quiriat Arbá (o sea, Hebrón), Sior: nueve ciudades y sus aldeas.	54 Humtah and Kiriath-Arba, which is Hebron, and Zior: nine cities, and their villages.
55 Maón, Carmel, Zif, Yutá,	55 Maon and Carmel, and Ziph and Juttah,

57 Hacain, Guibeá y Timná: diez ciudades con sus aldeas.	57 Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah: ten cities, and their villages.
58 Jaljul, Bet Sur, Guedor,	58 Halhul and Bethzur and Gedor,
59 Maarat, Bet Anot, Eltecón: seis ciudades con sus aldeas. Técoa, Efratá (o sea Belén), Peor, Etán, Culón, Tatán, Sores, Caren, Galín, Béter, Manaj: once ciudades con sus aldeas.	59 Maarath and Bethanoth and Eltekon: six cities, and their villages.
60 Quiriat Baal (o sea, Quiriat Yearín) y Rabá: dos ciudades con sus aldeas.	60 Kiriath-baal, which is Kiriath-jearim, the City of Forests, and Rabbah: two cities, and their villages.
61 En el desierto: Bet Arabá, Midín, Secacá,	61 In the desert: Beth-Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
62 Nibsán, la Ciudad de la Sal y Engadí: seis ciudades con sus aldeas.	62 and Nibshan, and the City of Salt, and Engedi: six cities, and their villages.
63 Pero los hijos de Judá no pudieron expulsar a los jebuseos que ocupaban Jerusalén. Por eso los jebuseos siguen habitando en Jerusalén en medio de Judá hasta el día de hoy.	63 But the sons of Judah were not able to destroy the Jebusite inhabitants of Jerusalem. And so the Jebusite lived with the sons of Judah in Jerusalem, even to the present day.
