Say: "When you enter the country (Canaan), this will be the countrywhich forms your heritage. This is Canaan as defined by its boundaries: |
| 3 Por el Sur, os pertenecerá desde el desierto de Sin, limitando con Edón. Vuestra frontera meridional arrancará por el Este en el extremo del mar de la Sal. | 3 "The southern part of your country wil start from the desert of Zin, on the borders of Edom. Yoursouthern boundary wil start on the east at the end of the Salt Sea. |
| 4 Vuestra frontera torcerá por el Sur hacia la cuesta de los Escorpiones, pasará por Sin y terminará al sur de Cadés Barnea. Luego irá hacia Jasar Adar y pasará por Asmón. | 4 It wil then turn south towards the Ascent of the Scorpions and go by Zin to end in the south atKadesh-Barnea. It wil then run towards Hazar-Addar and pass through Azmon. |
| 5 Torcerá la frontera en Asmón hacia el Torrente de Egipto y acabará en el mar. | 5 From Azmon the boundary wil turn towards the Torrent of Egypt and end at the Sea. |
| 6 Vuestra frontera occidental será el Mar Grande. Esa será vuestra frontera por el Oeste. | 6 "Your seaboard wil be on the Great Sea; this will be your western boundary. |
| 7 Vuestra frontera por el Norte será: una línea que va desde el Mar Grande hasta Hor de la Montaña. | 7 "Your northern boundary wil be as fol ows: you wil draw a line from the Great Sea to Mount Hor, |
| 8 De Hor de la Montaña, trazaréis el límite hasta la entrada de Jamat y llegará la frontera hasta Sedad. | 8 then from Mount Hor you wil draw a line to the Pass of Hamath, and the boundary will end at Zedad. |
| 9 Seguirá luego la frontera hacia Cifrón y terminará en Jasar Enán. Esa será vuestra frontera septentrional. | 9 From there it wil run on to Ziphron and end at Hazar-Enan. This wil be your northern boundary. |
| 10 Trazaréis vuestra frontera oriental desde Jasar Enán hasta Sefán. | 10 "You will then draw your eastern boundary from Hazar-Enan to Shepham. |
| 11 La frontera bajará de Sefán hacia Arbel, al oriente de Ayín. Seguirá bajando la frontera y, tocando la orilla del mar de Genesaret por el oriente, | 11 The boundary wil run down from Shepham towards Riblah on the east side of Ain. Further down itwil keep to the eastern shore of the Sea of Chinnereth. |
| 12 bajará a lo largo del Jordán y vendrá a dar en el mar de la Sal. Esa será vuestra tierra con las fronteras que la circunscriben”». | 12 The frontier wil then fol ow the Jordan and end at the Salt Sea. "Such wil be your country with theboundaries surrounding it." ' |
| 13 Moisés dio esta orden a los hijos de Israel: «Esa es la tierra que habéis de repartir a suertes, la que el Señor ha ordenado dar a las nueve tribus y media. | 13 Moses then gave the Israelites this order: 'This is the country, where your heritages wil be assignedby lot, and which Yahweh has ordered to be given to the nine tribes and the half-tribe, |
| 14 Porque la tribu de los hijos de Rubén con sus distintas familias y la tribu de los hijos de Gad con sus distintas familias, han recibido ya su heredad; y media tribu de Manasés ha recibido también su heredad. | 14 for the tribe of the Reubenites with their families and the tribe of the Gadites with their families havealready received their heritage; the half-tribe of Manasseh has also received its heritage. |

| 19 Estos son sus nombres: por la tribu de Judá, Caleb, hijo de Jefuné; | 19 Here are the names of these men: 'For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh; |
| 20 por la tribu de los hijos de Simeón, Samuel, hijo de Amihud; | 20 'for the tribe of the Simeonites, Shemuel son of Ammihud; |
| 21 por la tribu de Benjamín, Elidad, hijo de Quislón; | 21 'for the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon; |

| 29 A estos les encargó el Señor repartir la heredad a los hijos de Israel en la tierra de Canaán. | 29 These were the men whom Yahweh ordered to divide Canaan into heritages for the Israelites. |
