| 2 Después dijo a toda la asamblea de Israel: «Si os parece bien y si el Señor, nuestro Dios, lo quiere, vamos a invitar a nuestros hermanos, que se han quedado en el territorio de Israel —y, juntamente con ellos, a los sacerdotes y levitas de las ciudades y ejidos—, a que se reúnan con nosotros. | 2 And David said to all the assembly of Israel, "If it seems good to you, and if it is the will of the LORD our God, let us send abroad to our brethren who remain in all the land of Israel, and with them to the priests and Levites in the cities that have pasture lands, that they may come together to us. |

| 6 Fue, pues, David, con todo Israel, a Baalá, es decir, a Quiriat Yearín de Judá, para subir el Arca de Dios, donde se invoca el nombre del Señor que se sienta sobre querubines. | 6 And David and all Israel went up to Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim which belongs to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the LORD who sits enthroned above the cherubim. |

| 9 Al llegar a la era de Quidón, los bueyes tropezaron y Uzá alargó la mano para sujetar el Arca. | 9 And when they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah put out his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled. |
| 10 Se encendió la ira del Señor contra Uzá, le hirió por haber alargado la mano hacia el Arca y murió allí mismo, delante de Dios. | 10 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and he smote him because he put forth his hand to the ark; and he died there before God. |
| 11 David se enojó porque el Señor había arremetido contra Uzá, y se llamó aquel sitio Peres de Uzá, hasta el día de hoy. | 11 And David was angry because the LORD had broken forth upon Uzzah; and that place is called Perez-uzza to this day. |
| 12 Aquel día David temió a Dios y dijo: «¿Cómo voy a llevar a mi casa el Arca de Dios?». | 12 And David was afraid of God that day; and he said, "How can I bring the ark of God home to me?" |
| 13 Así que no la trasladó a su casa, a la Ciudad de David, sino que la llevó a la casa de Obededón, el de Gat. | 13 So David did not take the ark home into the city of David, but took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. |
| 14 El Arca de Dios estuvo tres meses en la propia casa de Obededón, y el Señor bendijo a la familia de Obededón y cuanto tenía. | 14 And the ark of God remained with the household of Obed-edom in his house three months; and the LORD blessed the household of Obed-edom and all that he had. |
