Ezechiele 35

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata in questi termini:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 « Figlio dell'uomo, volgi la tua faccia verso il monte di Seir, e profetizza contro di lui, e digli:	2 'Son of man, turn towards Mount Seir and prophesy against it.
3 Così parla il Signore Dio: Eccomi a te, o monte di Seir: io stenderò sopra di te la mia mano, e ti renderò desolato e deserto.	3 Say to it, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you, Mount Seir; I shall stretch out my handagainst you; I shal make you a desolate waste;
4 Demolirò le tue città, e tu resterai un deserto, e saprai ch'io sono il Signore.	4 I shal lay your towns in ruins. You wil become a waste and you wil know that I am Yahweh.
5 Perchè tu sei stato nemico eterno, e hai rinchiusi i figli d'Israele sotto il potere della spada nel tempo della loro sventura, nel tempo del loro male estremo,	5 Since, fol owing a long-standing hatred, you betrayed the Israelites to the sword on the day of theirdistress, on the day when an end came for their guilt,
6 per questo, io vivo! — dice il Signore Dio. — Ti abbandonerò al sangue, e il sangue ti perseguiterà: tu odii il sangue, ma il sangue ti perseguiterà.	6 very wel , as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I destine you to bloodshed, and bloodshed wilpursue you. I swear it; you have incurred guilt by shedding blood, and bloodshed will pursue you.
7 E renderò il monte di Seir desolato e deserto e ne toglierò chi va e chi viene;	7 I shal make Mount Seir a desolate waste and denude it of anyone travel ing to and fro.
8 e riempirò i suoi monti dei suoi uccisi: sui tuoi colli, nelle tue valli, e nei tuoi torrenti cadranno gli uccisi dalla spada.	8 I shal fil its mountains with its slaughtered; on your hills, in your val eys and in all your ravines, thoseslaughtered by the sword will fal .
9 Ti ridurrò a solitudini eterne, e le tue città non saranno abitate, e saprete che io sono il Signore.	9 I shal make you a perpetual waste, your towns wil never be inhabited again, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.
10 Perchè tu hai detto: « Le due nazioni e i due paesi saran miei, e ne avrò l'ereditario possesso, sebbene ci sia il Signore »,	10 "Since you said: The two nations and the two countries wil be mine; we are going to take possessionof it, although Yahweh was there,
11 per questo, io vivo! — dice il Signore Dio — Ti tratterò secondo la tua collera, e secondo la tua gelosia che hai mostrata nell'odio contro di essi, e mi farò conoscere per essi, quando avrò fatto giustizia di te.	11 very well, as I live -- declares the Lord Yahweh -- I shal act with the same anger and jealousy as youacted in your hatred for them. I shall make myself known for their sake, when I punish you,
12 E tu saprai che io sono il Signore. Ho sentiti tutti gli oltraggi che tu hai detti contro i monti d'Israele, dicendo: « Sono in abbandono e ci son dati, (qual preda) a divorare»,	12 and you wil know that I, Yahweh, have heard al the blasphemies which you have uttered against themountains of Israel, such as: They have been laid waste, they have been given to us for us to devour.
13 e vi siete inalberati contro di me colla vostra bocca, e avete scagliate contro di me le vostre parole, ed io ho sentito!	13 Great was your insolence towards me, many your speeches against me; I have heard!
14 Così parla il Signore Dio: Con gioia di tutta la terra io ti ridurrò in solitudine.	14 Lord Yahweh says this: To the joy of the whole world, I shal make you a waste.
15 Come ti sei rallegrato riguardo all'eredità della casa d'Israele, perchè è stata devastata, così pure farò a te: tu sarai devastato, o monte di Seir, e così tutta l'intera Idumea. E sapranno che io sono il Signore ».	15 Since you rejoiced because the heritage of the House of Israel had been laid waste, I shal do thesame to you, Mount Seir; and you wil become a waste, and so wil the whole of Edom; and they will know that Iam Yahweh.' "
