1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain.	1 Et je vis descendre du ciel un ange qui avait la clef de l'abîme et une grande chaîne dans sa main.
2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,	2 Il saisit le dragon, l'antique serpent, qui est le diable et Satan, et il le lia pour mille ans.
3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were ended. After that he must be loosed for a little while.	3 Et il le jeta dans l'abîme, qu'il ferma et scella (mit un sceau) sur lui, pour qu'il ne séduisît plus les nations jusqu'à ce que les mille ans fussent écoulés ; après cela il doit être délié pour un peu de temps.
4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.	4 Et je vis des trônes, et ils (il y en eut qui) s'assirent dessus, et il leur fut donné de juger. Je vis aussi les âmes de ceux qui avaient été décapités à cause du témoignage de Jésus et à cause de la parole de Dieu, et de ceux qui n'avaient point adoré la bête, ni son image, et qui n'avaient pas pris sa marque sur leur front ni sur leurs mains ; et ils vécurent, et régnèrent avec le Christ pendant mille ans.
5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.	5 Les autres morts ne revinrent pas à la vie jusqu'à ce que les mille ans fussent écoulés. C'est là la première résurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years.	6 (Bien)Heureux et saint celui qui a part à la première résurrection. Sur eux la seconde mort n'a pas de pouvoir, mais ils seront prêtres de Dieu et du Christ, et ils règneront avec lui pendant mille ans.
7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be loosed from his prison	7 Et lorsque les mille ans seront écoulés, Satan sera délié de sa prison, et il sortira, et il séduira les nations qui sont aux quatre angles (coins) de la terre, Gog et Magog, et il les assemblera pour le combat ; leur nombre est comme le sable de la mer.
8 and will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, that is, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.	8 Ils montèrent sur (toute) la surface de la terre, et ils environnèrent le camp des saints, et la cité bien-aimée.
9 And they marched up over the broad earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city; but fire came down from heaven and consumed them,	9 Mais un feu, lancé par Dieu, descendit du ciel et les dévora ; et le diable qui les séduisait fut jeté dans l'étang de feu et de soufre, où la bête (elle-même)
10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.	10 et le faux prophète seront tourmentés jour et nuit dans les siècles des siècles.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.	11 Alors je vis un grand trône blanc, et celui qui (quelqu'un) était assis dessus ; devant sa face le ciel et la terre s'enfuirent, et il ne se trouva plus de place pour eux.
12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.	12 Et je vis les morts, grands et petits, debout devant le trône. Et des livres furent ouverts ; on ouvrit aussi un autre livre, qui est celui de la vie ; et les morts furent jugés d'après ce qui était écrit dans ces livres, selon leursœuvres.
13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done.	13 Et la mer rendit les morts qu'elle renfermait ; la mort et l'enfer rendirent aussi les morts qu'ils renfermaient, et chacun d'eux fut jugé selon sesœuvres.
14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire;	14 Puis l'enfer et la mort furent jetés dans l'étang de feu. C'est là la seconde mort.
15 and if any one's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.	15 Et quiconque ne fut pas inscrit dans le livre de vie fut jeté dans l'étang de feu.
