1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain.	1 E vidi un Angelo scender dal cielo, che aveva la chiave dell'abisso, e una gran catena in mano.
2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,	2 Ed egli afferrò il dragone, quel serpente antico, che è il diavolo, e Satanasso, e lo legò per mille anni:
3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were ended. After that he must be loosed for a little while.	3 E cacciollo nell'abisso, e lo chiuse, e sigillò sopra di lui, perché non seduca più le nazioni, sino a tanto che siano compiti i mille anni: dopo i quali debbe egli essere disciolto per poco tempo.
4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshipped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.	4 E vidi de' troni, sederono su questi, e fu dato ad essi di giudicare: e le anime di quegli, che furono decollati a causa della testimonianza (renduta) a Gesù, e a causa della parola di Dio, e quegli, i quali non adoraron la bestia, né l'immagine di essa, né il carattere di lei ricevettero nella fronte, o nelle mani loro, e vissero, e regnarono con Cristo per mille anni.
5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.	5 (Gli altri morti poi non vissero, fintantoché siano compiti i mille anni). Questa è la prima risurrezione.
6 Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years.	6 Beato, e santo, chi ha parte nella prima risurrezione: sopra di questi non ha potere la morte seconda: ma saranno sacerdoti di Dio, e di Cristo, e con lui regneranno per mille anni.
7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be loosed from his prison	7 E compiti i mille anni, sarà sciolto satana dalla sua prigione, e uscirà, e sedurrà le nazioni, che sono nei quattro angoli della terra, Gog, e Magog, e raguneragli a battaglia, il numero de' quali è come dell'arena del mare.
8 and will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, that is, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.	8 E si stesero per l'ampiezza della terra,e circonvallarono gli alloggiamenti de' santi, e la città diletta.
9 And they marched up over the broad earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city; but fire came down from heaven and consumed them,	9 E cadde dal cielo un fuoco (spedito) da Dio, il quale gli divorò: e il diavolo, che gli seduceva, fu gittato in uno stagno di fuoco, e di zolfo, dove anche la bestia,
10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.	10 E il falso profeta saran tormentati dì, e notte pe' secoli de' secoli.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.	11 E vidi un trono grande, e candida, e uno, che sopra di esso sedeva, dalla vista del quale fuggì la terra, e il cielo, nè più comparirono.
12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.	12 E vidi i morti grandi, e piccoli stare davanti al trono, e si aprirono i libri: e un altro libro fu aperto, che è quel della vita: e furon giudicati i morti sopra di quello, che era scritto ne' libri secondo le opere loro:
13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done.	13 E il mare rendette i morti, che riteneva dentro di se: e la morte, e l'inferno rendettero i morti, che avevano: e giudizio si fece di ciascheduno secondo quello, che avevano operato.
14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire;	14 E l'inferno, e la morte furono gittati in uno stagno di fuoco. Questa è la seconda morte.
15 and if any one's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.	15 E chi non si trovò scritto nel libro della vita, fu gittato nello stagno di fuoco.
