1 Corinthians 5

1 It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among pagans; for a man is living with his father's wife.	1 Si sente parlare niente di meno che di un'impudicizia tra voi, e di una impudicizia tale, che non capita neanche tra i pagani, al punto che uno conviva con la moglie di suo padre.
2 And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.	2 E voi siete ricolmi di orgoglio e non vi siete rammaricati, affinché si togliesse da voi chi ha compiuto una tale azione!
3 For though absent in body I am present in spirit, and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment	3 Orbene, io, assente nel corpo ma presente nello spirito, ho già giudicato, come se fossi presente, l'autore di tale misfatto:
4 in the name of the Lord Jesus on the man who has done such a thing. When you are assembled, and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus,	4 nel nome del Signore nostro Gesù, convocati insieme voi, il mio spirito e la potenza del Signore nostro Gesù,
5 you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.	5 questo individuo sia abbandonato a Satana, per la rovina della sua carne, affinché lo spirito possa ottenere la salvezza nel giorno del Signore.
6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?	6 Non è bello il vostro vanto. Non sapete che un po' di lievito fermenta tutta la pasta?
7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed.	7 Togliete via il lievito vecchio, per essere pasta nuova, poiché siete azzimi. E' stata immolata la nostra Pasqua, Cristo!
8 Let us, therefore, celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.	8 Celebriamo dunque la festa non tra lievito vecchio, né in lievito di malizia e perversità, ma con azzimi di purezza e di verità.
9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with immoral men;	9 Vi ho scritto nella lettera di non immischiarvi con gli impudichi.
10 not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.	10 Non mi riferivo agli impudichi di questo mondo o ai cupidi, ai rapaci o agli idolatri; altrimenti dovreste uscire dal mondo.
11 But rather I wrote to you not to associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber--not even to eat with such a one.	11 Ma ora vi scrivo di non immischiarvi con chi si dice fratello, ed è impudico, o cupido, o idolatra, o blasfemo, o ubriacone, o ladro: con questi tali non dovete neanche mettervi a mensa.
12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?	12 Tocca forse a me giudicare quelli di fuori? Non sono quelli di dentro che voi giudicate?
13 God judges those outside. "Drive out the wicked person from among you."	13 Quelli di fuori li giudicherà Dio. Togliete quel perverso di mezzo a voi!
