1 Corinthians 5

1 It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among pagans; for a man is living with his father's wife.	1 Se oye decir en todas partes que hay entre vosotros un caso de inmoralidad; y una inmoralidad tal que no se da ni entre los gentiles: uno convive con la mujer de su padre.
2 And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you.	2 ¿Y vosotros seguís tan ufanos? Estaría mejor ponerse de luto y expulsar de entre vosotros al que ha hecho eso.
3 For though absent in body I am present in spirit, and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment	3 Pues lo que es yo, ausente en el cuerpo, pero presente en espíritu, ya he tomado una decisión como si estuviera presente: reunidos vosotros
4 in the name of the Lord Jesus on the man who has done such a thing. When you are assembled, and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus,	4 en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús, y yo presente en espíritu, con el poder de nuestro Señor Jesús
5 you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.	5 entregar al que ha hecho eso en manos de Satanás; para destrucción de la carne, a fin de que el espíritu se salve en el día del Señor.
6 Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?	6 Ese orgullo vuestro no tiene razón de ser. ¿No sabéis que un poco de levadura fermenta toda la masa?
7 Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed.	7 Barred la levadura vieja para ser una masa nueva, ya que sois panes ácimos. Porque ha sido inmolada nuestra víctima pascual: Cristo.
8 Let us, therefore, celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.	8 Así, pues, celebremos la Pascua, no con levadura vieja (levadura de corrupción y de maldad), sino con los panes ácimos de la sinceridad y la verdad.
9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with immoral men;	9 En la carta que os escribí os decía que no os juntarais con los inmorales.
10 not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.	10 No me refería a los inmorales de este mundo, ni tampoco a los codiciosos, a los estafadores o idólatras; para eso tendríais que salir de este mundo.
11 But rather I wrote to you not to associate with any one who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber--not even to eat with such a one.	11 Lo que de hecho os dije es que no os juntarais con uno que se llama hermano y es inmoral, codicioso, idólatra, difamador, borracho o estafador: con quien sea así, ni compartir la mesa.
12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge?	12 ¿Acaso me toca a mí juzgar a los de fuera? ¿No es a los de dentro a quienes juzgáis vosotros?
13 God judges those outside. "Drive out the wicked person from among you."	13 A los de fuera los juzgará Dios. Expulsad al malvado de entre vosotros.
