Ezekiel 7

1 The word of the LORD came to me:	1 Il Signore parlommi, e disse:
2 "And you, O son of man, thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.	2 Or tu figliuolo dell'uomo, queste cose dice il Signore Dio alla terra d'Israele: Il fine viene, viene il fine per tutte le quattro parti di questa terra.
3 Now the end is upon you, and I will let loose my anger upon you, and will judge you according to your ways; and I will punish you for all your abominations.	3 Adesso è il fine per te, e io rovescerò il furor mio contro di te, e ti giudicherò secondo il tuo operare, e porrò davanti a te tutte le tue abbominazioni.
4 And my eye will not spare you, nor will I have pity; but I will punish you for your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the LORD.	4 E l'occhio mio non si impietosirà sopra di te, e non avrò misericordia, ma sopra di te porrò le opere tue, e le tue abbominazioni saranno in mezzo a te, e conoscerete, che io sono il Signore.
5 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Disaster after disaster! Behold, it comes.	5 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: L'afflizione unica, l'afflizione ecco che viene:
6 An end has come, the end has come; it has awakened against you. Behold, it comes.	6 Il fine viene, viene il fine, sollecitamente si affretta contro di te, eccolo che viene;
7 Your doom has come to you, O inhabitant of the land; the time has come, the day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting upon the mountains.	7 Viene lo sterminio sopra di te, che abiti questa terra; il tempo viene, è vicino il dì della strage, e non del tripudio sui monti.
8 Now I will soon pour out my wrath upon you, and spend my anger against you, and judge you according to your ways; and I will punish you for all your abominations.	8 Or io mi avvicino per versare sopra di te l'ira mia, e sfogherò in te il mio furore, e ti giudicherò secondo le opere tue, e porrò sopra di te tutte le tue scelleratezze;
9 And my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity; I will punish you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the LORD, who smite.	9 E l'occhio mio non s'impietosirà, e non avrò misericordia, ma le opere tue porrò sopra di te, e le tue abbominazioni saranno in mezzo a te, e conoscerete, che io sono il Signore, che punisco.
10 "Behold, the day! Behold, it comes! Your doom has come, injustice has blossomed, pride has budded.	10 Ecco il giorno, ecco che ei viene: lo sterminio s'avanza: la verga ha fiorito, la superbia ha gettati i suoi rami:
11 Violence has grown up into a rod of wickedness; none of them shall remain, nor their abundance, nor their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them.	11 L'iniquità è cresciuta in verga dell'empietà, non avrà scampo nissun di loro, nissuno del popolo, nissuno di e que', che fanno romore; ei non avranno mai requie.
12 The time has come, the day draws near. Let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn, for wrath is upon all their multitude.	12 Viene il tempo, si avvicina il dì: chi compra non si rallegri, e chi vende, non pianga; perocché l'ira sta sopra di tutto il suo popolo;
13 For the seller shall not return to what he has sold, while they live. For wrath is upon all their multitude; it shall not turn back; and because of his iniquity, none can maintain his life.	13 Perocché chi vende non ritornerà ad avere l'effetto venduto, benché sia tuttora tra' vivi: conciossiachè la visione, che è per tutta la sua moltitudine, non sarà senza effetto, e nissuno nella iniqua sua vita troverà suo sostegno.
14 "They have blown the trumpet and made all ready; but none goes to battle, for my wrath is upon all their multitude.	14 Date fiato alla tromba: mettansi tutti in ordine: ma alcuno non è, che vada a combattere, perchè l'ira mia sta sopra di tutto il suo popolo.
15 The sword is without, pestilence and famine are within; he that is in the field dies by the sword; and him that is in the city famine and pestilence devour.	15 Di fuori la spada, e dentro la peste, e la fame: chi è in campagna, morrà di spada, e chi in città, sei divoreranno la peste, e la fame.
16 And if any survivors escape, they will be on the mountains, like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one over his iniquity.	16 E si salveranno quei di loro, che fuggiranno, e staranno sui monti quai colombe delle valli tutti pieni di paura, ognuno al riflesso di sua iniquità.
17 All hands are feeble, and all knees weak as water.	17 Tutte le braccia saranno fiacche, e tutte le ginocchia vacilleranno.
18 They gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror covers them; shame is upon all faces, and baldness on all their heads.	18 E si vestiran di cilizi, e saranno ingombri di spavento: in ogni faccia la confusione, e tutte le loro teste saranno calve.
19 They cast their silver into the streets, and their gold is like an unclean thing; their silver and gold are not able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD; they cannot satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it. For it was the stumbling block of their iniquity.	19 Getteran fuora il loro argento, e l'oro tralle immondezze. Il loro argento, né l'oro salvare non li potrà nel dì del furor del Signore, nè saziare l'anima loro, né empire il loro ventre, perchè è stato occasione d'inciampo alla loro malvagità.
20 Their beautiful ornament they used for vainglory, and they made their abominable images and their detestable things of it; therefore I will make it an unclean thing to them.	20 E l'ornamento de' loro monil servir fecero alla superbia, e a farne immagini delle loro abbominazioni, e de' loro idoli: per questo farò, ch'ei sia per essi immondezza:
21 And I will give it into the hands of foreigners for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it.	21 E darollo in preda alle mani degli stranieri, e ne faran bottino gli empj della terra, e lo profaneranno.
22 I will turn my face from them, that they may profane my precious place; robbers shall enter and profane it,	22 E volgerò da loro la mia faccia: e quelli violeranno i miei penetrali, e vi entreranno i ladroni, e li contamineranno.
23 and make a desolation. "Because the land is full of bloody crimes and the city is full of violence,	23 Ristringi in poco: perchè la terra è pjena di sanguinarj giudizj, e la città è piena d'iniquità.
24 I will bring the worst of the nations to take possession of their houses; I will put an end to their proud might, and their holy places shall be profaned.	24 Io condurrò qua la feccia delle genti, e questa possederà le loro case e reprimerò la superbia de' potenti, e i lor santuari saranno occupati da altri.
25 When anguish comes, they will seek peace, but there shall be none.	25 Sovraggiunto che sia lo sterminio, cercheran pace, né pace sarà.
26 Disaster comes upon disaster, rumor follows rumor; they seek a vision from the prophet, but the law perishes from the priest, and counsel from the elders.	26 Afflizione verrà sopra afflizione, e cattive nuove sopra nuove cattive, e domanderanno al profeta quel, che abbia veduto, e i sacerdoti non sapranno più la legge, e i seniori saranno senza consiglio.
27 The king mourns, the prince is wrapped in despair, and the hands of the people of the land are palsied by terror. According to their way I will do to them, and according to their own judgments I will judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD."	27 Il re sarà nell'afflizione, e il principe sarà coperto di tristezza, e il popolo del paese sarà senza braccia. Secondo le opere loro li tratterò, e secondo ì loro giudizj farò giudizio di essi, econosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore.
