Ezekiel 7

1 The word of the LORD came to me:	1 Me fue dirigida esta palabra del Señor:
2 "And you, O son of man, thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.	2 «Hijo de hombre, esto dice el Señor a la tierra de Israel: ¡Esto es el fin! Llega el fin sobre los cuatro extremos de la tierra.
3 Now the end is upon you, and I will let loose my anger upon you, and will judge you according to your ways; and I will punish you for all your abominations.	3 Llega el fin sobre ti, y desencadenaré mi ira contra ti. Te juzgaré según tu conducta, haré caer sobre ti todas tus acciones detestables.
4 And my eye will not spare you, nor will I have pity; but I will punish you for your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the LORD.	4 Mis ojos no tendrán piedad contigo, ni tendré compasión, sino que te retribuiré según tu conducta. Quedarán patentes tus acciones detestables, y reconocerás que yo soy el Señor».
5 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Disaster after disaster! Behold, it comes.	5 Esto dice el Señor Dios: «¡Una desgracia singular, una desgracia! Ya ha llegado.
6 An end has come, the end has come; it has awakened against you. Behold, it comes.	6 El fin ha llegado. Ha llegado el fin. Tu fin es inminente.
7 Your doom has come to you, O inhabitant of the land; the time has come, the day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting upon the mountains.	7 Ha llegado tu hora, habitante del país. Se ha cumplido el tiempo, se aproxima el día. Confusión, y no grito de júbilo en las montañas.
8 Now I will soon pour out my wrath upon you, and spend my anger against you, and judge you according to your ways; and I will punish you for all your abominations.	8 Ahora mismo, dentro de un instante, derramaré mi furor sobre ti, contra ti agotaré mi cólera y te juzgaré conforme a tu conducta. Haré caer sobre ti todas tus acciones detestables.
9 And my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity; I will punish you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the LORD, who smite.	9 Mis ojos no tendrán piedad ni tendré compasión, sino que te retribuiré según tu conducta, quedarán patentes tus acciones detestables y reconocerás que yo soy el Señor que castiga.
10 "Behold, the day! Behold, it comes! Your doom has come, injustice has blossomed, pride has budded.	10 ¡Ya está aquí el día, ya llega! Ha sonado tu hora: prospera la brutalidad, germina la insolencia,
11 Violence has grown up into a rod of wickedness; none of them shall remain, nor their abundance, nor their wealth; neither shall there be preeminence among them.	11 se yergue la violencia como poder funesto. Nada de esto quedará en pie: ni de su abundancia, ni de su ostentación, ni de su magnificencia.
12 The time has come, the day draws near. Let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn, for wrath is upon all their multitude.	12 Ha llegado el tiempo, se aproxima el día. Que no se alegre el comprador ni se aflija el vendedor, porque se inflama la ira sobre toda abundancia.
13 For the seller shall not return to what he has sold, while they live. For wrath is upon all their multitude; it shall not turn back; and because of his iniquity, none can maintain his life.	13 El vendedor no recobrará lo vendido, aunque quede entre los vivos, porque la visión contra toda abundancia no vuelve atrás, y, por su culpa, ninguno preservará su vida.
14 "They have blown the trumpet and made all ready; but none goes to battle, for my wrath is upon all their multitude.	14 Han tocado la trompeta y todo está preparado, pero ninguno va a la batalla, porque mi ira se inflama contra todo poderío.
15 The sword is without, pestilence and famine are within; he that is in the field dies by the sword; and him that is in the city famine and pestilence devour.	15 Fuera está la espada; dentro, la peste y el hambre. Quien esté en el campo morirá por la espada, a quien esté en la ciudad lo devorarán el hambre y la peste.
16 And if any survivors escape, they will be on the mountains, like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one over his iniquity.	16 Se salvarán los que escapen de ellos y estarán en las montañas como palomas de los valles, gimiendo, cada uno por su culpa.
17 All hands are feeble, and all knees weak as water.	17 Toda mano desfallece y toda rodilla se disuelve en agua,
18 They gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror covers them; shame is upon all faces, and baldness on all their heads.	18 se ciñen de sayal, el terror los domina, los rostros consternados, las cabezas rapadas.
19 They cast their silver into the streets, and their gold is like an unclean thing; their silver and gold are not able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD; they cannot satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it. For it was the stumbling block of their iniquity.	19 Arrojarán su plata por las calles, su oro lo tendrán por inmundicia. Su plata y su oro no podrán salvarlos en el día de la ira del Señor. Ni saciarán sus gargantas ni llenarán sus vientres, porque ellos fueron la ocasión de su pecado.
20 Their beautiful ornament they used for vainglory, and they made their abominable images and their detestable things of it; therefore I will make it an unclean thing to them.	20 Estaban orgullosos del esplendor de su ornamento, y con ellos fabricaron las imágenes de sus abominables ídolos. Por eso convertiré su esplendor en inmundicia.
21 And I will give it into the hands of foreigners for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it.	21 Lo entregaré como presa en las manos de extranjeros, como despojo a los malvados del país, que lo profanarán.
22 I will turn my face from them, that they may profane my precious place; robbers shall enter and profane it,	22 Me alejaré de ellos, y ellos profanarán mi tesoro. Los saqueadores penetrarán en él y lo profanarán.
23 and make a desolation. "Because the land is full of bloody crimes and the city is full of violence,	23 Prepara una cadena, porque el país está lleno de sentencias inicuas, y la ciudad repleta de violencia.
24 I will bring the worst of the nations to take possession of their houses; I will put an end to their proud might, and their holy places shall be profaned.	24 Haré venir a los pueblos más feroces para que se apoderen de sus casas. Pondré fin a la arrogancia de los poderosos y serán profanados sus santuarios.
25 When anguish comes, they will seek peace, but there shall be none.	25 Ha llegado la angustia. Buscarán la paz, pero en vano.
26 Disaster comes upon disaster, rumor follows rumor; they seek a vision from the prophet, but the law perishes from the priest, and counsel from the elders.	26 Vendrá desgracia sobre desgracia, alarma tras alarma. Pedirán visiones al profeta, faltará la instrucción del sacerdote y el consejo de los ancianos.
27 The king mourns, the prince is wrapped in despair, and the hands of the people of the land are palsied by terror. According to their way I will do to them, and according to their own judgments I will judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD."	27 Estará el rey en duelo, el príncipe cubierto de aflicción. Temblarán las manos de la gente del pueblo. Los trataré según su conducta, los juzgaré con sus propias sentencias, y reconocerán que yo soy el Señor».
