1 "And you, O son of man, take a sharp sword; use it as a barber's razor and pass it over your head and your beard; then take balances for weighing, and divide the hair.	1 Et toi, fils de (d'un) l'homme, prends un instrument tranchant qui rase les poils, prends-le et fais-le passer sur ta tête et sur ta barbe ; prends ensuite un poids et une balance, et partage-les.
2 A third part you shall burn in the fire in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are completed; and a third part you shall take and strike with the sword round about the city; and a third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will unsheathe the sword after them.	2 Tu en brûleras un tiers dans le feu, au milieu de la ville, lorsque les jours du siège seront accomplis ; tu prendras l'autre tiers, et tu le couperas avec le rasoir autour de la ville ; tu disperseras au vent le dernier tiers, et je tirerai l'épée derrière eux.
3 And you shall take from these a small number, and bind them in the skirts of your robe.	3 Tu en prendras un petit nombre, que tu lieras au bord de ton manteau.
4 And of these again you shall take some, and cast them into the fire, and burn them in the fire; from there a fire will come forth into all the house of Israel.	4 Tu en prendras encore de ceux-ci, et tu les jetteras au milieu du feu, et tu les brûleras ; et il en sortira un feu contre toute la maison d'Israël.
5 Thus says the Lord GOD: This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the center of the nations, with countries round about her.	5 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu : C'est là cette Jérusalem que j'ai établie au milieu des nations, et qui est environnée de leurs terres (de pays).
6 And she has wickedly rebelled against my ordinances more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries round about her, by rejecting my ordinances and not walking in my statutes.	6 Elle a méprisé mes ordonnances, au point d'être plus impie que les nations ; et elle a violé mes préceptes plus que tous les pays d'alentour ; car ils ont rejeté mes ordonnances, et n'ont pas marché dans mes préceptes.
7 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you are more turbulent than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes or kept my ordinances, but have acted according to the ordinances of the nations that are round about you;	7 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu : Parce que vous avez dépassé (surpassé en impiété) les nations qui sont autour de vous, et que vous n'avez pas marché dans mes préceptes, et que vous n'avez pas observé mes ordonnances, et que vous n'avez pas (même) agi selon les lois des peuples qui vous entourent,
8 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I, even I, am against you; and I will execute judgments in the midst of you in the sight of the nations.	8 à cause de cela, ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu : Voici que je viens à toi, et j'exercerai moi-même des jugements au milieu de toi à la vue des nations,
9 And because of all your abominations I will do with you what I have never yet done, and the like of which I will never do again.	9 et je ferai en toi ce que je n'ai pas fait, et que je ne ferai jamais dans la suite, à cause de toutes tes abominations.
10 Therefore fathers shall eat their sons in the midst of you, and sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments on you, and any of you who survive I will scatter to all the winds.	10 C'est pourquoi les (des) pères mangeront leurs enfants au milieu de toi, et les (des) enfants mangeront leurs pères, et j'exercerai des jugements contre toi, et je disperserai à tous les vents tout ce qui restera de toi.
11 Wherefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore I will cut you down; my eye will not spare, and I will have no pity.	11 C'est pourquoi, par ma vie (je vis, moi), dit le Seigneur Dieu, comme tu as violé mon sanctuaire par tous tes crimes et toutes tes abominations, moi aussi (si, note) je (ne) te briserai (brise pas), et monœil sera sans pitié, et je n'aurai pas de compassion.
12 A third part of you shall die of pestilence and be consumed with famine in the midst of you; a third part shall fall by the sword round about you; and a third part I will scatter to all the winds and will unsheathe the sword after them.	12 Un tiers des tiens mourra de la peste, et sera consumé par la faim au milieu de toi ; un autre tiers tombera par le glaive autour de toi, et je disperserai l'autre tiers à tous les vents, et je tirerai l'épée derrière eux.
13 "Thus shall my anger spend itself, and I will vent my fury upon them and satisfy myself; and they shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken in my jealousy, when I spend my fury upon them.	13 J'assouvirai ainsi ma fureur, je satisferai (ferai reposer) mon indignation sur eux, et je me consolerai (serai consolé) ; et ils sauront que moi, le Seigneur, j'ai parlé dans ma colère, lorsque mon indignation se sera satisfaite sur eux.
14 Moreover I will make you a desolation and an object of reproach among the nations round about you and in the sight of all that pass by.	14 Je ferai de toi un désert, un sujet d'opprobre pour les nations qui sont autour de toi, à la vue de tous les passants (tout passant) ;
15 You shall be a reproach and a taunt, a warning and a horror, to the nations round about you, when I execute judgments on you in anger and fury, and with furious chastisements--I, the LORD, have spoken--	15 et tu seras l'opprobre, la malédiction, l'exemple et l'étonnement des peuples qui t'environnent, lorsque j'aurai exercé mes (des) jugements contre (en) toi avec fureur et avec indignation, et dans l'effusion (avec les châtiments) de ma colère.
16 when I loose against you my deadly arrows of famine, arrows for destruction, which I will loose to destroy you, and when I bring more and more famine upon you, and break your staff of bread.	16 C'est moi, le Seigneur, qui ai parlé. Lorsque je lancerai contre eux les flèches pernicieuses (cruelles) de la famine (faim), qui seront mortelles et que je lancerai pour vous perdre (entièrement) ; lorsque je rassemblerai contre vous la famine, et que je briserai parmi vous le bâton du pain ;
17 I will send famine and wild beasts against you, and they will rob you of your children; pestilence and blood shall pass through you; and I will bring the sword upon you. I, the LORD, have spoken."	17 lorsque j'enverrai contre vous la famine et les bêtes les plus cruelles (des animaux cruels), pour vous exterminer (jusqu'à votre extermination), la peste et le sang passeront au milieu de toi, et je ferai venir l'épée sur toi. C'est moi, le Seigneur, qui ai parlé.
