Ezekiel 30

1 The word of the LORD came to me:	1 Il Signore parlommi, dicendo:
2 "Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord GOD: "Wail, 'Alas for the day!'	2 Figliuolo dell'uomo, profetizza, e dì: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Gettate urla: Guai, guai a quel dì;
3 For the day is near, the day of the LORD is near; it will be a day of clouds, a time of doom for the nations.	3 Perocché il giorno è vicino, e vicino il giorno del Signore, giorno caliginoso, che sarà il tempo delle nazioni.
4 A sword shall come upon Egypt, and anguish shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain fall in Egypt, and her wealth is carried away, and her foundations are torn down.	4 E verrà contro l'Egitto la spada, e l'Etiopia sarà in terrore quando cadranno feriti gli Egiziani, e ne sarà menata via la moltitudine, e tutte le forze dell'Egitto saran distrutte.
5 Ethiopia, and Put, and Lud, and all Arabia, and Libya, and the people of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.	5 L'Etiopia, e la Libia, e la Lidia, e tutti gli altri popoli, e Chub, e i figliuoli della terra di alleanza periranno insieme con essi di spada.
6 "Thus says the LORD: Those who support Egypt shall fall, and her proud might shall come down; from Migdol to Syene they shall fall within her by the sword, says the Lord GOD.	6 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Anderanno per terra i sostegni dell'Egitto, e il suo impero superbo sarà distrutto: cominciando dalla torre di Siene cadranno di spada gli Egiziani, dice il Signore Dio degli eserciti;
7 And she shall be desolated in the midst of desolated countries and her cities shall be in the midst of cities that are laid waste.	7 E (quelle regioni) saran desolate in mezzo a terre deserte, e le sue città saran del numero delle città devastate.
8 Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have set fire to Egypt, and all her helpers are broken.	8 E conosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore, quando avrò acceso il fuoco in Egitto, e saranno distrutte tutte le sue milizie ausiliari:
9 "On that day swift messengers shall go forth from me to terrify the unsuspecting Ethiopians; and anguish shall come upon them on the day of Egypt's doom; for, lo, it comes!	9 In quel giorno partiranno dei messaggieri spediti da me sopra triremi ad umiliar l'alterezza dell'Etiopia, ed ella sarà in terrore nel dì dell'Egitto, il qual dì indubitatamente verrà.
10 "Thus says the Lord GOD: I will put an end to the wealth of Egypt, by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.	10 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Io diraderò la moltitudine dell'Egitto per mano di Nabuchodonosor re di Babilonia.
11 He and his people with him, the most terrible of the nations, shall be brought in to destroy the land; and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.	11 Egli, ed il suo popolo, fortissimi tralle nazioni saran condotti a distruzione dell'Egitto: e sguaineranno le loro spade contro l'Egitto, e copriranno di uccisi la terra.
12 And I will dry up the Nile, and will sell the land into the hand of evil men; I will bring desolation upon the land and everything in it, by the hand of foreigners; I, the LORD, have spoken.	12 E i letti de' fiumi renderò asciutti, e uomini crudeli farò padroni della terra, e sterminerò la terra, e tutto quello, che ella contiene, per mano di stranieri: io il Signore ho parlato.
13 "Thus says the Lord GOD: I will destroy the idols, and put an end to the images, in Memphis; there shall no longer be a prince in the land of Egypt; so I will put fear in the land of Egypt.	13 Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Io abbatterò i simolacri, e struggerò gl'idoli di Memphi, e principe nativo d'Egitto più non vi sarà: e manderò il terrore sulla terra d'Egitto.
14 I will make Pathros a desolation, and will set fire to Zoan, and will execute acts of judgment upon Thebes.	14 E rovinerò la terra di Phatures, e darò Taphnis alle fiamme, e farò giudizio di Alessandria.
15 And I will pour my wrath upon Pelusium, the stronghold of Egypt, and cut off the multitude of Thebes.	15 L'indegnazione mia spanderò sopra Pelusio baluardo dell'Egitto; e farò passare a filo di spada la moltitudine di Alessandria,
16 And I will set fire to Egypt; Pelusium shall be in great agony; Thebes shall be breached, and its walls broken down.	16 Ed io darò fuoco all'Egitto: Pelusio sarà in dolori come una partoriente, e Alessandria sarà desolata, e Memphi ogni dì in affanni.
17 The young men of On and of Pibeseth shall fall by the sword; and the women shall go into captivity.	17 La gioventù d'Eliopoli, e di Bubaste perirà di spada, e le loro spose saranno menate schiave.
18 At Tehaphnehes the day shall be dark, when I break there the dominion of Egypt, and her proud might shall come to an end; she shall be covered by a cloud, and her daughters shall go into captivity.	18 E il giorno annerirà in Taphnis, allorché quivi io spezzerò gli scettri d'Egitto, e verrà meno la superbia di sua possanza: tetra nuvola lo cuoprirà, e le sue figlie saran condotte in ischiavitù.
19 Thus I will execute acts of judgment upon Egypt. Then they will know that I am the LORD."	19 E giudizio farò io contro l'Egitto, e conosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore.
20 In the eleventh year, in the first month, on the seventh day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me:	20 E nell'anno undecimo, il primo mese, ai sette del mese, il Signore parlommi, dicendo:
21 "Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and lo, it has not been bound up, to heal it by binding it with a bandage, so that it may become strong to wield the sword.	21 Figliuolo dell'uomo, io ho rotto il braccio di Faraone re dell'Egitto, e non è stato curato per ritornarlo sano, né avvolto con pezze, né fasciato con bende, affinchè ripreso vigore possa maneggiare la spada.
22 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, both the strong arm and the one that was broken; and I will make the sword fall from his hand.	22 Per questo così dice il Signore Dio: Ecco, ch'io vo da Faraone re dell'Egitto, e farò in pezzi il braccio di lui, che era forte, ma fu rotto, e farogli cader di mano la spada:
23 I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them throughout the lands.	23 E spergerò l'Egitto tralle nazioni, e gli traporterò per le terre a tutti i venti.
24 And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand; but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him like a man mortally wounded.	24 E darò vigore alle braccia del re di Babilonia, e la mia spada porrò in mano a lui, e spezzerò le braccia di Faraone, e quelli, che saranno messi a morte sugli occhi di lui, daran profondi sospiri.
25 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh shall fall; and they shall know that I am the LORD. When I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, he shall stretch it out against the land of Egypt;	25 E darò vigore alle braccia del re di Babilonia, e le braccia di Faraone non si reggeranno: e conosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore, quand' io avrò posta la mia spada in mano al re di Babilonia, e questi la sguainerà sopra la terra d'Egitto.
26 and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries. Then they will know that I am the LORD."	26 E spergerò l'Egitto tralle nazioni, e gli sbanderò in questo, e in quel paese, e conosceranno, ch'io sono il Signore.
