Ezekiel 25

1 The word of the LORD came to me:	1 E fu fatta la parola di Dio a me, dicendo:
2 "Son of man, set your face toward the Ammonites, and prophesy against them.	2 O figliuolo d' uomo, poni la tua faccia contro a' figliuoli d' Ammon, e profeteggerai di loro.
3 Say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD, Because you said, 'Aha!' over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and over the house of Judah when it went into exile;	3 E dirai alli figliuoli di Ammon: udite la parola del Signore Iddio: questo dice lo Signore Iddio però che dicesti: rallegriamoci, rallegriamoci sopra lo mio santuario, però ch' è corrotto, e sopra la terra d'Israel, però che è desolata, e sopra la casa di Giuda, però che sono menati in prigione;
4 therefore I am handing you over to the people of the East for a possession, and they shall set their encampments among you and make their dwellings in your midst; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk.	4 però ecco, io ti darò alli figliuoli delle parti d'oriente per eredità, e collocheranno le loro mansioni in te, e porranno in te le loro tende; egli mangeranno le tue biade, e beranno lo tuo latte.
5 I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels and the cities of the Ammonites a fold for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD.	5 E darò Rabbat (cioè una terra); la farò abitazione di cammelli; li figliuoli d' Ammon farò letto delle pecore; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.
6 For thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet and rejoiced with all the malice within you against the land of Israel,	6 Però [che] questo dice lo Signore: però che chiudesti la mano, e percotesti col piede, e se'ti rallegrata di tutto lo desiderio sopra la terra d' Israel;
7 therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand against you, and will hand you over as spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from the peoples and will make you perish out of the countries; I will destroy you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.	7 però ecco, distenderò la mia mano sopra di te, e darotti in vastamento delle genti, e ucciderò te de' popoli, e ucciderò le genti delle terre, e fracasserolle; e saprete ch' io sono lo Signore Iddio.
8 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Moab said, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the other nations,	8 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: però che Moab e Seir hanno detto: la casa di Giuda, ecco ch' è come tutte le genti;
9 therefore I will lay open the flank of Moab from the cities on its frontier, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim.	9 però ecco, io aprirò l' omero di Moab delle città, io dico delle cittadi sue, e de' suoi confini le belle terre e alte, cioè Betiesimot e Beelmeon e Cariataim,
10 I will give it along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, that it may be remembered no more among the nations,	10 alli figliuoli d'Oriente colli figliuoli d' Ammon; e darolla per ereditade, acciò che non sia memoria de' figliuoli d' Ammon tra le genti.
11 and I will execute judgments upon Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD.	11 E farò giudicii in Moab; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio.
12 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them,	12 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio: però che Idumea fece vendetta acciò che si vendicasse de' figliuoli di Giuda, ed ella peccò lasciando lo mio precetto, e chiese (da sè) vendetta di loro;
13 therefore thus says the Lord GOD, I will stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off from it man and beast; and I will make it desolate; from Teman even to Dedan they shall fall by the sword.	13 però questo dice lo Signore Iddio: io distenderò la mia mano sopra Idumea, e torrò di lei li uomini e li giumenti, e farolla deserta dalla parte d'austro; e quelli che sono in Dedan, cadranno di coltello.
14 And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD.	14 E farò la mia vendetta sopra Idumea per la mano del mio popolo Israel; e faranno in Edom (cioè in quella contrada) secondo l' ira mia e secondo lo mio furore; e sapranno la mia vendetta, dice lo Signore Iddio.
15 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines acted revengefully and took vengeance with malice of heart to destroy in never-ending enmity;	15 Questo dice lo Signore Iddio; però che i Palestini vendetta feciono, e sonsi vendicati con tutto l'animo, uccidendo e mandando a effetto le vecchie (e le antiche) inimistadi;
16 therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the rest of the seacoast.	16 però questo dice lo Signore Iddio: ecco io distenderò la mia mano sopra quelli di Palestina, e ucciderò li interfettori, e li rimanenti delle marittime regioni.
17 I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful chastisements. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon them."	17 E farò in loro grandi vendette, riprendendoli nel furore; e sapranno ch' io sono Iddio, quando io averò data la mia vendetta sopra loro.
