Ezekiel 25

1 The word of the LORD came to me:	1 La parole de Yahvé me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 "Son of man, set your face toward the Ammonites, and prophesy against them.	2 Fils d'homme, tourne-toi vers les Ammonites et prophétise contre eux.
3 Say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus says the Lord GOD, Because you said, 'Aha!' over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and over the house of Judah when it went into exile;	3 Tu diras aux Ammonites: Ecoutez la parole du Seigneur Yahvé. Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé.Parce que tu as dit: "Ha! Ha!" sur mon sanctuaire lorsqu'il a été profané, sur la terre d'Israël lorsqu'elle a étédévastée et sur la maison de Juda lorsqu'elle est partie pour l'exil,
4 therefore I am handing you over to the people of the East for a possession, and they shall set their encampments among you and make their dwellings in your midst; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk.	4 eh bien! voici que je te livre en possession aux fils de l'Orient; ils établiront chez toi leurscampements, ils feront chez toi leur demeure. Ce sont eux qui mangeront tes fruits, ce sont eux qui boiront tonlait.
5 I will make Rabbah a pasture for camels and the cities of the Ammonites a fold for flocks. Then you will know that I am the LORD.	5 Je ferai de Rabba un parc à chameaux et des villes d'Ammon un bercail de brebis. Et vous saurezque je suis Yahvé.
6 For thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet and rejoiced with all the malice within you against the land of Israel,	6 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Parce que tu as battu des mains et frappé du pied, et que tu t'esréjoui, l'âme pleine de dédain, au sujet du pays d'Israël,
7 therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand against you, and will hand you over as spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from the peoples and will make you perish out of the countries; I will destroy you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.	7 eh bien! voici que j'étends la main contre toi; je vais te livrer au pillage des nations, te retrancherd'entre les peuples et t'exterminer d'entre les pays. Je t'anéantirai, et tu sauras que je suis Yahvé.
8 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Moab said, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the other nations,	8 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Parce que Moab et Séïr ont dit: "Voici que la maison de Juda estsemblable à toutes les nations",
9 therefore I will lay open the flank of Moab from the cities on its frontier, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim.	9 eh bien! je vais ouvrir les hauteurs de Moab, ses villes ne seront plus des villes, sur toute sonétendue - les joyaux du pays: Bet-ha-Yeshimot, Baal-Meôn et jusqu'à Qiryatayim.
10 I will give it along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, that it may be remembered no more among the nations,	10 C'est aux fils de l'Orient que je les donne en possession, en plus des Ammonites, afin qu'on nes'en souvienne plus parmi les nations.
11 and I will execute judgments upon Moab. Then they will know that I am the LORD.	11 De Moab, je ferai justice, et on saura que je suis Yahvé.
12 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because Edom acted revengefully against the house of Judah and has grievously offended in taking vengeance upon them,	12 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Parce qu'Edom a exercé sa vengeance contre la maison de Juda,parce qu'il s'est rendu gravement coupable en se vengeant d'elle,
13 therefore thus says the Lord GOD, I will stretch out my hand against Edom, and cut off from it man and beast; and I will make it desolate; from Teman even to Dedan they shall fall by the sword.	13 eh bien! ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: Je vais étendre la main contre Edom et je vais enretrancher bêtes et gens. J'en ferai une désolation, de Témân à Dedân on périra par l'épée.
14 And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord GOD.	14 Je mettrai ma vengeance contre Edom dans la main de mon peuple Israël. Il traitera Edom selonma colère et ma fureur et l'on connaîtra ma vengeance, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
15 "Thus says the Lord GOD: Because the Philistines acted revengefully and took vengeance with malice of heart to destroy in never-ending enmity;	15 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Parce que les Philistins ont exercé leur vengeance et se sontvengés, l'âme pleine de dédain, en cherchant à détruire avec une haine éternelle,
16 therefore thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the rest of the seacoast.	16 eh bien! ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Voici que j'étends la main contre les Philistins, je vaisretrancher les Kerétiens, détruire ce qui reste des habitants de la côte.
17 I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful chastisements. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon them."	17 J'exercerai contre eux de terribles vengeances, des châtiments furieux, et ils sauront que je suisYahvé quand je leur imposerai ma vengeance.
