Leviticus 9

1 On the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;	1 L'ottavo giorno Mosè chiamò Aronne, i suoi figli e gli anziani d'Israele
2 and he said to Aaron, "Take a bull calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.	2 e disse ad Aronne: "Prenditi un vitello per il sacrificio espiatorio e un montone per l'olocausto, senza difetti, e offrili davanti al Signore.
3 And say to the people of Israel, 'Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both a year old without blemish, for a burnt offering,	3 Parlerai ai figli di Israele dicendo: "Prendete un capro per il sacrificio espiatorio, un vitello e un agnello, nati nell'anno, senza difetti, per l'olocausto,
4 and an ox and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD, and a cereal offering mixed with oil; for today the LORD will appear to you.'"	4 un toro e un montone per il sacrificio di comunione, da immolare alla presenza del Signore, e un'oblazione intrisa d'olio. Oggi infatti il Signore si manifesterà a voi".
5 And they brought what Moses commanded before the tent of meeting; and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.	5 Portarono dunque ciò che Mosè aveva ordinato davanti alla tenda del convegno, e tutta l'assemblea si avvicinò e stette alla presenza del Signore.
6 And Moses said, "This is the thing which the LORD commanded you to do; and the glory of the LORD will appear to you."	6 Mosè disse: "Questo è ciò che il Signore ha comandato che voi facciate. La gloria del Signore si manifesterà a voi".
7 Then Moses said to Aaron, "Draw near to the altar, and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement for yourself and for the people; and bring the offering of the people, and make atonement for them; as the LORD has commanded."	7 Poi Mosè disse ad Aronne: "Avvicinati all'altare e compi il tuo sacrificio espiatorio e il tuo olocausto; compi il rito espiatorio per te e per la tua casa; fa' l'offerta del popolo e compi per loro il rito espiatorio, come ha comandato il Signore".
8 So Aaron drew near to the altar, and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.	8 Aronne si avvicinò all'altare e immolò il vitello del suo sacrificio espiatorio;
9 And the sons of Aaron presented the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar;	9 i figli d'Aronne gli presentarono il sangue, egli intinse il dito nel sangue e lo mise sui corni dell'altare e versò il resto del sangue alla base dell'altare;
10 but the fat and the kidneys and the appendage of the liver from the sin offering he burned upon the altar, as the LORD commanded Moses.	10 il grasso, i reni e il lobo del fegato della vittima espiatoria li fece fumare all'altare, come aveva comandato il Signore a Mosè.
11 The flesh and the skin he burned with fire outside the camp.	11 La carne e la pelle le bruciò col fuoco, fuori del campo.
12 And he killed the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons delivered to him the blood, and he threw it on the altar round about.	12 Poi immolò l'olocausto e i figli d'Aronne gli porsero il sangue ed egli lo sparse intorno all'altare;
13 And they delivered the burnt offering to him, piece by piece, and the head; and he burned them upon the altar.	13 gli porsero l'olocausto tagliato a pezzi insieme alla testa ed egli lo fece fumare sull'altare.
14 And he washed the entrails and the legs, and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.	14 Lavò gli intestini e le gambe e li fece fumare, oltre all'olocausto, sull'altare.
15 Then he presented the people's offering, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and killed it, and offered it for sin, like the first sin offering.	15 Fece poi l'offerta del popolo: prese il capro del sacrificio espiatorio del popolo, lo immolò e compì con esso il sacrificio espiatorio come con il primo.
16 And he presented the burnt offering, and offered it according to the ordinance.	16 Offrì l'olocausto e compì il rito secondo le regole;
17 And he presented the cereal offering, and filled his hand from it, and burned it upon the altar, besides the burnt offering of the morning.	17 offrì l'oblazione, ne prese una manciata piena e la fece fumare sull'altare, assieme all'olocausto del mattino.
18 He killed the ox also and the ram, the sacrifice of peace offerings for the people; and Aaron's sons delivered to him the blood, which he threw upon the altar round about,	18 Immolò il toro e il montone del sacrificio di comunione del popolo; i figli d'Aronne gli porsero il sangue ed egli lo sparse intorno all'altare;
19 and the fat of the ox and of the ram, the fat tail, and that which covers the entrails, and the kidneys, and the appendage of the liver;	19 gli porsero le parti grasse del toro e del montone, la coda e il grasso che ricopre i reni e il lobo del fegato,
20 and they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burned the fat upon the altar,	20 ed egli mise tutte queste parti grasse sopra ai petti e le fece fumare sull'altare.
21 but the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.	21 I petti e la coscia destra Aronne li agitò nel gesto della presentazione, alla presenza del Signore, come aveva comandato Mosè.
22 Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them; and he came down from offering the sin offering and the burnt offering and the peace offerings.	22 Aronne alzò le mani verso il popolo e lo benedisse, poi discese, avendo compiuto il sacrificio espiatorio, l'olocausto e il sacrificio di comunione.
23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting; and when they came out they blessed the people, and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.	23 Mosè e Aronne entrarono nella tenda del convegno, poi uscirono e benedissero il popolo: e si manifestò la gloria del Signore a tutto il popolo.
24 And fire came forth from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.	24 Un fuoco uscì dalla presenza del Signore e divorò l'olocausto e le parti grasse. Tutto il popolo vide, eruppe in canti e cadde con la faccia a terra.
