1 To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. A Maskil of David, when the Ziphites went and told Saul, "David is in hiding among us." Save me, O God, by thy name, and vindicate me by thy might.	1 Al maestro di coro. Con strumenti a corda. Maskil. Di Davide,
2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.	2 quando gli Zifei si presentarono a Saul e gli dissero: "Non sta forse Davide nascosto da noi?".
3 For insolent men have risen against me, ruthless men seek my life; they do not set God before them. [Selah]	3 O Dio, salvami nel tuo nome, rendimi giustizia nella tua potenza.
4 Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.	4 O Dio, ascolta la mia preghiera, porgi l'orecchio alle parole della mia bocca.
5 He will requite my enemies with evil; in thy faithfulness put an end to them.	5 Poiché contro di me sono sorti degli stranieri e dei violenti attentano alla mia vita; non c'è Dio nel loro cospetto.
6 With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to thee; I will give thanks to thy name, O LORD, for it is good.	6 Ecco, Dio verrà in mio soccorso, il Signore è sostenitore dell'anima mia.
7 For thou hast delivered me from every trouble, and my eye has looked in triumph on my enemies.	7 Ricada il male sui miei avversari, annientali nella tua fedeltà.
	8 Ben volentieri ti offrirò il sacrificio, il sacrificio di lode al tuo nome, o Signore, perché è buono,
	9 per avermi liberato da ogni angustia e aver permesso al mio occhio di mirar con gioia i miei nemici.
