Psalms 112

1 Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments!	1 Hallelujah! Happy are those who fear the LORD, who greatly delight in God's commands.
2 His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.	2 Their descendants shall be mighty in the land, generation upright and blessed.
3 Wealth and riches are in his house; and his righteousness endures for ever.	3 Wealth and riches shall be in their homes; their prosperity shall endure forever.
4 Light rises in the darkness for the upright; the LORD is gracious, merciful, and righteous.	4 They shine through the darkness, a light for the upright; they are gracious, merciful, and just.
5 It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice.	5 All goes well for those gracious in lending, who conduct their affairs with justice.
6 For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered for ever.	6 They shall never be shaken; the just shall be remembered forever.
7 He is not afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.	7 They shall not fear an ill report; their hearts are steadfast, trusting the LORD.
8 His heart is steady, he will not be afraid, until he sees his desire on his adversaries.	8 Their hearts are tranquil, without fear, till at last they look down on their foes.
9 He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures for ever; his horn is exalted in honor.	9 Lavishly they give to the poor; their prosperity shall endure forever; their horn shall be exalted in honor.
10 The wicked man sees it and is angry; he gnashes his teeth and melts away; the desire of the wicked man comes to nought.	10 The wicked shall be angry to see this; they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the desires of the wicked come to nothing.
