28 The rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all who have separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the law of God, their wives, their sons, their daughters, all who have knowledge and understanding,	28 et le reste du peuple, les prêtres, les lévites, les portiers, les chantres, les Nathinéens et tous ceux qui s'étaient séparés des nations pour suivre la loi de Dieu, leurs femmes, leurs fils et leurs filles.
29 join with their brethren, their nobles, and enter into a curse and an oath to walk in God's law which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord and his ordinances and his statutes.	29 Tous ceux qui avaient le discernement s'engagèrent pour leurs frères, et les principaux d'entre eux vinrent promettre et jurer qu'ils marcheraient dans la loi de Dieu, donnée par Moïse, serviteur de Dieu, pour garder et observer tous les commandements du Seigneur notre Dieu, Ses ordonnances et Ses cérémonies,
30 We will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons;	30 et pour ne pas donner nos filles à aucun d'entre les nations, et pour ne pas prendre leurs filles pour nos fils.
31 and if the peoples of the land bring in wares or any grain on the sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the sabbath or on a holy day; and we will forego the crops of the seventh year and the exaction of every debt.	31 Nous promîmes aussi de ne pas acheter, aux jours de sabbat et aux jours consacrés, ce que les nations nous apporteraient à vendre, ni rien de ce qui peut servir à l'usage de la vie. Nous laisserons la terre libre la septième année, et nous n'exigerons aucune dette.
32 We also lay upon ourselves the obligation to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God:	32 Nous nous imposerons aussi l'obligation de donner chaque année la troisième partie d'un sicle, pour l'oeuvre de la maison de notre Dieu,
33 for the showbread, the continual cereal offering, the continual burnt offering, the sabbaths, the new moons, the appointed feasts, the holy things, and the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.	33 pour les pains de proposition, pour le sacrifice perpétuel, et pour l'holocauste éternel des sabbats, des néoménies, des fêtes solennelles, pour les choses consacrées et pour les sacrifices d'expiation, afin que des prières soient offertes pour Israël, et qu'il ne manque rien au ministère de la maison de notre Dieu.
34 We have likewise cast lots, the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathers' houses, at times appointed, year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law.	34 Nous jetâmes aussi le sort sur les prêtres, les lévites et le peuple pour l'offrande du bois, afin que les maisons de nos pères en portassent chaque année à la maison de notre Dieu, aux temps marqués, pour le faire brûler sur l'autel du Seigneur notre Dieu, comme il est écrit dans la loi de Moïse.
35 We obligate ourselves to bring the first fruits of our ground and the first fruits of all fruit of every tree, year by year, to the house of the LORD;	35 Nous promîmes aussi d'apporter tous les ans dans la maison du Seigneur les premiers-nés des bêtes de notre terre, les prémices des fruits de tous les arbres,
36 also to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God, the first-born of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks;	36 les premiers-nés de nos fils et de nos troupeaux, comme il est écrit dans la loi, et les premiers-nés de nos boeufs et de nos brebis, pour les offrir dans la maison de notre Dieu aux prêtres qui servent dans la maison de notre Dieu.
37 and to bring the first of our coarse meal, and our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the wine and the oil, to the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and to bring to the Levites the tithes from our ground, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our rural towns.	37 Nous promîmes encore d'apporter aux prêtres, au trésor de notre Dieu, les prémices de nos aliments et de nos liqueurs, des fruits de tous les arbres, de la vigne et des oliviers, de payer la dîme de notre terre aux lévites. Les lévites recevront de toutes les villes les dîmes de tous les fruits de nos travaux.
38 And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes; and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers, to the storehouse.	38 Le prêtre, fils d'Aaron, aura part avec les lévites aux dîmes qu'ils recevront, et les lévites offriront la dîme de la dîme à la maison de notre Dieu, dans les chambres de la maison du trésor.
39 For the people of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the contribution of grain, wine, and oil to the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers.
