28 The rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all who have separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the law of God, their wives, their sons, their daughters, all who have knowledge and understanding,	28 Malouk, Harim, Baana.
29 join with their brethren, their nobles, and enter into a curse and an oath to walk in God's law which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord and his ordinances and his statutes.	29 Et le reste du peuple: les prêtres, les lévites, les portiers, les chantres, les serviteurs, en un mot tous ceux qui se sont séparés des peuples des nations pour obéir à la Loi de Dieu avec leurs femmes, leurs fils et leurs filles: tous ceux en âge de comprendre.
30 We will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons;	30 Tous se joignent à leurs frères, les chefs; ils s’engagent solennellement et par serment à marcher selon la Loi que Dieu a donnée par la bouche de Moïse, le serviteur de Dieu; à garder et à observer tous les commandements de Yahvé notre Dieu, ses coutumes et ses lois.
31 and if the peoples of the land bring in wares or any grain on the sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the sabbath or on a holy day; and we will forego the crops of the seventh year and the exaction of every debt.	31 Nous ne donnerons plus nos filles comme épouses au peuple du pays et nous ne prendrons plus leurs filles pour nos fils.
32 We also lay upon ourselves the obligation to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God:	32 Si, le jour du sabbat, les peuples du pays apportent pour les vendre, des marchandises ou d’autres produits quelconques, nous ne les achèterons pas un jour de sabbat ni un jour sacré. La septième année, nous renoncerons aux produits du sol et à tout argent qui nous est dû.
33 for the showbread, the continual cereal offering, the continual burnt offering, the sabbaths, the new moons, the appointed feasts, the holy things, and the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.	33 Nous nous obligeons à verser un tiers de pièce d’argent par an pour le culte du Temple de notre Dieu:
34 We have likewise cast lots, the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathers' houses, at times appointed, year by year, to burn upon the altar of the LORD our God, as it is written in the law.	34 pour le pain d’oblation, pour l’offrande et l’holocauste perpétuels, pour les sacrifices du sabbat, des Nouvelles Lunes, des fêtes, pour les repas sacrés, pour les sacrifices offerts pour l’expiation des péchés d’Israël; en un mot, pour tout le service du Temple de notre Dieu.
35 We obligate ourselves to bring the first fruits of our ground and the first fruits of all fruit of every tree, year by year, to the house of the LORD;	35 Prêtres, lévites et peuple, nous avons tiré au sort pour chacune de nos familles la date à laquelle chaque année elles offriront le bois au Temple de notre Dieu pour le faire brûler sur l’autel de Yahvé notre Dieu, selon ce qui est écrit dans la Loi.
36 also to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God, the first-born of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks;	36 Chaque année nous apporterons au Temple de Yahvé les premiers produits de nos champs et les premiers fruits de tous les arbres,
37 and to bring the first of our coarse meal, and our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the wine and the oil, to the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and to bring to the Levites the tithes from our ground, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our rural towns.	37 ainsi que les premiers-nés de nos fils et de notre troupeau, selon ce qui est écrit dans la Loi. Les premiers-nés de notre gros et petit bétail seront apportés au Temple de notre Dieu et destinés aux prêtres de service dans le Temple de notre Dieu.
38 And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes; and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers, to the storehouse.	38 Nous apporterons aux prêtres, dans les salles du Temple de notre Dieu, la meilleure part de nos farines, des produits de nos arbres, du vin nouveau et de l’huile; et la dîme de nos champs sera pour les lévites. Ils prélèveront eux-mêmes cette dîme dans les régions agricoles.
39 For the people of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the contribution of grain, wine, and oil to the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. We will not neglect the house of our God.	39 Un prêtre, fils d’Aaron, accompagnera les lévites quand ils prélèveront la dîme; les lévites porteront ensuite cette dîme dans les salles de la maison du trésor, au Temple de notre Dieu.
	40 C’est en effet dans ces salles que les Israélites et les lévites apporteront les impôts en blé, en vin et en huile; c’est là que se gardera le matériel du Sanctuaire, là où sont les prêtres de service, les portiers et les chantres. Et désormais, nous ne négligerons plus le Temple de notre Dieu.
