1 - Cantico di David: quando era edificata la casa [di Dio], dopo la schiavitù. Cantate al Signore un cantico nuovo, cantate al Signore o [abitanti della] terra tutta.	1 A Canticle of David himself, when the house was built after the captivity. Sing to the Lord a new song. Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Cantate al Signore e benedite il suo nome, annunziate ogni giorno la sua salvezza.	2 Sing to the Lord and bless his name. Announce his salvation from day to day.
3 Bandite tra le Genti la sua gloria, in tutti i popoli le sue meraviglie.	3 Announce his glory among the Gentiles, his miracles among all peoples.
4 Perchè grande è il Signore e degno sommamente di lode, terribile è sovra tutti gli dèi.	4 For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised. He is terrible, beyond all gods.
5 Perchè tutti gli dèi delle genti son demoni, ma il Signore ha fatto i cieli!	5 For all the gods of the Gentiles are demons, but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Lode e decoro son dinanzi a lui, santità e splendore nel suo santuario.	6 Confession and beauty are in his sight. Sanctity and magnificence are in his sanctuary.
7 Portate al Signore, o famiglie de' popoli, portate al Signore e gloria e onore;	7 Bring to the Lord, you natives of the nations, bring to the Lord glory and honor.
8 portate al Signore la gloria [dovuta] al suo nome, prendete le vittime ed entrate ne' suoi atrii.	8 Bring to the Lord glory for his name. Lift up sacrifices, and enter into his courts.
9 Adorate il Signore nel santo suo atrio: tremi al suo cospetto tutta la terra.	9 Adore the Lord in his holy court. Let the entire earth be shaken before his face.
10 Dite tra le genti: «Il Signore regna! Ha stabilito il mondo, sì che non vacilli, giudicherà i popoli con equità».	10 Say among the Gentiles: The Lord has reigned. For he has even corrected the whole world, which will not be shaken. He will judge the peoples with fairness.
11 Si rallegrino i cieli ed esulti la terra, si commuova il mare e quanto esso contiene,	11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult; let the sea and all its fullness be moved.
12 gioiscano i campi e tuttociò ch'è in essi. Esulteranno allora tutti gli alberi delle selve	12 The fields and all the things that are in them will be glad. Then all the trees of the forest will rejoice
13 al cospetto del Signore, poichè egli viene, viene a giudicar la terra. Giudicherà il mondo con giustizia e i popoli con la sua fedeltà.	13 before the face of the Lord: for he arrives. For he arrives to judge the earth. He will judge the whole world with fairness and the peoples with his truth.
