1 And as he was departing from the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, observe these fine stones and fine structures.”	1 Comme Il sortait du temple, un des disciples Lui dit: Maître, regardez quelles pierres et quelles constructions.
2 And in response, Jesus said to him: “Do you see all these great buildings? There shall not be left stone upon stone, which is not torn down.”	2 Jésus, répondant, lui dit: Tu vois tous ces grands édifices? Il n'en restera pas pierre sur pierre qui ne soit renversée.
3 And as he sat at the Mount of Olives, opposite the temple, Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew questioned him privately.	3 Et comme ils étaient assis sur la montagne des Oliviers, en face du temple, Pierre, Jacques, Jean et André Lui demandèrent en particulier:
4 “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things will begin to be fulfilled?”	4 Dites-nous quand cela arrivera, et quel signe il y aura quand toutes ces choses commenceront à s'accomplir.
5 And Jesus, answering, began to say to them: “See to it that no one leads you astray.	5 Et Jésus, leur répondant, Se mit à dire: Prenez garde que personne ne vous séduise.
6 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘For I am he,’ and they will lead many astray.	6 Car beaucoup viendront sous Mon nom, disant: C'est Moi le Christ; et ils séduiront beaucoup de monde.
7 But when you will have heard of wars and rumors of wars, you should not be afraid. For these things must be, but the end is not so soon.	7 Quand vous entendrez parler de guerres et de bruits de guerres, ne craignez point; car il faut que ces choses arrivent, mais ce ne sera pas encore la fin.
8 For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom over kingdom, and there shall be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are but the beginning of the sorrows.	8 Car on verra se soulever nation contre nation et royaume contre royaume, et il y aura des tremblements de terre en divers lieux, et des famines. Ce sera là le commencement des douleurs.
9 But see to yourselves. For they will hand you over to councils, and in the synagogues you will be beaten, and you shall stand before governors and kings because of me, as a testimony for them.	9 Pour vous, prenez garde à vous-mêmes; car on vous livrera aux tribunaux et vous serez battus dans les synagogues, et vous comparaîtrez devant les gouverneurs et devant les rois à cause de Moi, pour Me rendre témoignage devant eux.
10 And the Gospel must first be preached to all nations.	10 Il faut auparavant que l'Evangile soit prêché à toutes les nations.
11 And when they have seized you and handed you over, do not consider in advance what to say. But whatever will be given you in that hour, say that. For you will not be speaking, but the Holy Spirit.	11 Et lorsqu'on vous emmènera pour vous livrer, ne pensez pas d'avance à ce que vous direz; mais dites ce qui vous sera inspiré à l'heure même, car ce n'est pas vous qui parlerez, mais l'Esprit-Saint.
12 Then brother will betray brother to death, and the father, a son; and children will rise up against their parents and will bring about their death.	12 Alors le frère livrera son frère à la mort, et le père son fils; les enfants s'élèveront contre leurs parents, et les feront mourir.
13 And you will be hated by all for the sake of my name. But whoever will have persevered unto the end, the same will be saved.	13 Et vous serez haïs de tout le monde à cause de Mon nom; mais celui qui persévérera jusqu'à la fin sera sauvé.
14 Then, when you have seen the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not to be, let the reader understand: then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.	14 Or, quand vous verrez l'abomination de la désolation établie là où elle ne doit pas être (que celui qui lit entende), alors que tous ceux qui sont dans la Judée s'enfuient sur les montagnes;
15 And let whoever is on the rooftop not descend to the house, nor enter so as to take anything from the house.	15 que celui qui sera sur le toit ne descende pas dans sa maison, et n'y entre pas pour en emporter quelque chose;
16 And let whoever may be in the field not return to take his garment.	16 et que celui qui sera dans les champs ne retourne pas en arrière pour prendre son vêtement.
17 But woe to those who are pregnant or nursing in those days.	17 Malheur aux femmes qui seront enceintes ou qui allaiteront en ces jours-là!
18 Truly, pray that these things may not happen in winter.	18 Priez pour que ces choses n'arrivent pas en hiver.
19 For those days shall have such tribulations as have not been since the beginning of the creation that God founded, even until now, and shall not be.	19 Car les tribulations de ces jours seront telles, qu'il n'y en a pas eu de semblables depuis le commencement du monde que Dieu a créé, jusqu'à présent, et qu'il n'y en aura jamais.
20 And unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would be saved. But, for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened the days.	20 Et si le Seigneur n'avait abrégé ces jours, aucune chair n'aurait été sauvée; mais, à cause des élus qu'Il a choisis, Il a abrégé ces jours.
21 And then, if anyone will have said to you: ‘Behold, here is the Christ. Behold, in that place.’ Do not believe it.	21 Et alors, si quelqu'un vous dit: Voici que le Christ est ici, voici qu'Il est là; ne le croyez point.
22 For false Christs and false prophets will rise up, and they will present signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if it were possible, even the elect.	22 Car il s'élèvera de faux christs et de faux prophètes, qui feront des prodiges et des miracles pour séduire, s'il était possible, les élus eux-mêmes.
23 Therefore, you must take heed. Behold, I have foretold all to you.	23 Vous donc, prenez garde; voici que Je vous ai tout prédit.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her splendor.	24 Mais en ces jours-là, après cette tribulation, le soleil s'obscurcira, et la lune ne donnera plus sa lumière;
25 And the stars of heaven will be falling down, and the powers that are in heaven will be moved.	25 les étoiles du ciel tomberont, et les puissances qui sont dans les cieux seront ébranlées.
26 And then they shall see the Son of man arriving on the clouds, with great power and glory.	26 Et alors on verra le Fils de l'homme venant sur les nuées, avec une grande puissance et une grande gloire.
27 And then he will send his Angels, and gather together his elect, from the four winds, from the limits of the earth, to the limits of heaven.	27 Et alors Il enverra Ses Anges, et Il rassemblera Ses élus des quatre vents, de l'extrémité de la terre à l'extrémité du ciel.
28 Now from the fig tree discern a parable. When its branch becomes tender and the foliage has been formed, you know that summer is very near.	28 Apprenez une comparaison tirée du figuier. Lorsque ses branches sont déjà tendres et que ses feuilles viennent de naître, vous savez que l'été est proche;
29 So also, when you will have seen these things happen, know that it is very near, even at the doors.	29 de même, lorsque vous verrez ces choses arriver, sachez que c'est proche, à la porte.
30 Amen I say to you, that this lineage shall not pass away, until all these things have happened.	30 En vérité, Je vous le dis, cette génération ne passera point, que toutes ces choses n'arrivent.
31 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away.	31 Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais Mes paroles ne passeront point.
32 But concerning that day or hour, no one knows, neither the Angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.	32 Quant à ce jour ou à cette heure nul ne sait rien, ni les Anges dans le Ciel, ni le Fils, mais le Père seul.
33 Take heed, be vigilant, and pray. For you do not know when the time may be.	33 Prenez garde, veillez et priez, car vous ne savez quand ce temps viendra.
34 It is like a man who, setting out on a sojourn, left behind his house, and gave his servants authority over every work, and instructed the doorkeeper to stand watch.	34 Il en sera comme d'un homme qui, s'en allant au loin, laisse sa maison et remet l'autorité à ses serviteurs, marquant à chacun sa tâche, et ordonne au portier de veiller.
35 Therefore, be vigilant, for you do not know when the lord of the house may arrive: in the evening, or in the middle of the night, or at first light, or in the morning.	35 Veillez donc, car vous ne savez pas quand viendra le maître de la maison, si ce sera le soir, ou au milieu de la nuit, ou au chant du coq, ou le matin;
36 Otherwise, when he will have arrived unexpectedly, he may find you sleeping.	36 de peur que, survenant tout à coup, il ne vous trouve endormis.
37 But what I say to you, I say to all: Be vigilant.”	37 Ce que Je vous dis, Je le dis à tous: Veillez.
