Ezekiel 2

1 This was the vision of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And I saw, and I fell on my face, and I heard the voice of someone speaking. And he said to me: “Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.”	1 Telle fut la vision de l'image de la gloire du Seigneur. Je vis, et je tombai sur ma face, et j'entendis la voix de quelqu'un qui parlait, et qui me dit : Fils de (d'un) l'homme, tiens-toi sur tes pieds, et je te parlerai.
2 And after this was spoken to me, the Spirit entered into me, and he set me on my feet. And I heard him speaking to me,	2 Et (un) l'esprit entra en moi après qu'il m'eut parlé, et me plaça sur mes pieds ; et je l'entendis (quelqu'un) qui me parlait,
3 and saying: “Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to an apostate nation, which has withdrawn from me. They and their fathers have betrayed my covenant, even to this day.	3 et qui me disait : Fils de (d'un) l'homme, je t'envoie vers les enfants d'Israël, vers ces peuples apostats qui se sont retirés de moi. Eux et leurs pères, ils ont violé mon alliance jusqu'à ce jour.
4 And those to whom I am sending you are sons with a hard face and an unyielding heart. And you shall say to them: ‘Thus says the Lord God.’	4 Ceux vers qui je t'envoie sont des enfants au front dur et au cœur indomptable ; et tu leur diras : Voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu.
5 Perhaps it may be that they will hear, and perhaps they may be quieted. For they are a provoking house. And they shall know that there has been a prophet in their midst.	5 Peut-être écouteront-ils enfin, et cesseront-ils de pécher (ils y manqueront), car c'est une maison qui m'irrite (exaspère) ; et ils sauront qu'un prophète a été au milieu d'eux.
6 But as for you, son of man, you should not fear them, and you should not dread their words. For you are among unbelievers and subversives, and you are living with scorpions. You should not fear their words, and you should not dread their faces. For they are a provoking house.	6 Toi donc, fils de (d'un) l'homme, ne les crains pas, et ne redoute pas leurs discours, quoique ceux qui sont avec toi soient des incrédules et des rebelles (destructeurs), et que tu habites avec des scorpions. Ne crains pas leurs paroles et n'aie pas peur de leurs visages, car c'est une maison qui m'irrite (exaspère).
7 Therefore, you shall speak my words to them, so that perhaps they may hear and be quieted. For they are provoking.	7 Tu leur diras donc mes paroles ; peut-être écouteront-ils et cesseront-ils de pécher (ils y manqueront), car ce sont des rebelles (parce qu'ils m'irritent sans cesse).
8 But as for you, son of man, listen to all that I say to you. And do not choose to be provoking, as that house is a provoker. Open your mouth, and eat whatever I give to you.”	8 Mais toi, fils de (d'un) l'homme, écoute tout ce que je te dis, et ne m'irrite (exaspère) pas comme cette maison m'irrite (exaspère sans cesse) ; ouvre ta bouche, et mange tout ce que je te donne.
9 And I looked, and behold: a hand was put forth toward me; there was a scroll rolled up in it. And he spread it out before me, and there was writing on the inside and on the outside. And there were written in it lamentations, and verses, and woes.	9 Alors je regardai, et voici qu'une main s'avançait vers moi, et elle tenait un livre roulé. Elle le déroula devant moi, et il était écrit en dedans et en dehors ; des lamentations, des plaintes et des malédictions (un chant et un malheur) y étaient écrit(e)s.
