Psalms 74

1 Unto the end. May you not be corrupted. A Canticle Psalm of Asaph.	1 - Al corifeo. [Sull'aria]: «Non mandare in malora!». Salmo-cantico di Asaf.
2 We will confess to you, O God. We will confess, and we will call upon your name. We will describe your wonders.	2 Ti celebreremo, o Dio, [ti] celebreremo, e invocheremo il tuo nome: narreremo le tue meraviglie!
3 While I have time, I will judge justices.	3 «Quando coglierò il momento, con giustizia giudicherò.
4 The earth has been dissolved, with all who dwell in it. I have confirmed its pillars.	4 Disfatta [quasi] è la terra con tutti i suoi abitanti;[ma] renderò saldi i suoi pilastri!».
5 I said to the iniquitous: “Do not act unjustly,” and to the offenders: “Do not exalt the horn.”	5 Io dico agl'iniqui: «Non fate gl'iniqui!». E agli empi: «Non alzate la cresta!».
6 Do not exalt your horn on high. Do not speak iniquity against God.	6 Non levate in alto la vostra cresta, non parlate contro Dio con arroganza!
7 For it is neither from the east, nor from the west, nor before the desert mountains.	7 Perchè nè da Oriente nè da Occidente, nè dalle deserte montagne [vien la salvezza].
8 For God is judge. This one he humbles and that one he exalts.	8 Giacchè Dio è il giudice: l'uno egli umilia e l'altro esalta!
9 For, in the hand of the Lord, there is a cup of undiluted wine, full of consternation. And he has tipped it from here to there. So, truly, its dregs have not been emptied. All the sinners of the earth will drink.	9 Un calice invero è in mano del Signore, [un calice] di vino schietto e spumeggiante, pieno di vino aromatizzato, e ne mesce di qua e di là. Sì, [fin] le fecce ne sorbiranno [e] berranno tutti i malvagi della terra!
10 But I will announce it in every age. I will sing to the God of Jacob.	10 Ma io annunzierò nè secoli [la giustizia di Dio], canterò [lodi] al Dio di Giacobbe.
11 And I will break all the horns of sinners. And the horns of the just will be exalted.	11 E tutta la potenza dè malvagi abbatterò, e sarà esaltata la potenza del giusto.
