1 A Canticle in steps. From the depths, I have cried out to you, O Lord.	1 Висхідна пісня. Надто мене гнобили вже з юнацтва мого, — нехай собі Ізраїль скаже.
2 O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.	2 Надто мене гнобили вже з юнацтва мого, — але мене не подолали.
3 If you, O Lord, were to heed iniquities, who, O Lord, could persevere?	3 На моїй спині орачі орали, борозни довгі поробили.
4 For with you, there is forgiveness, and because of your law, I persevered with you, Lord. My soul has persevered in his word.	4 Та Господь справедливий, він розтяв пута беззаконних.
5 My soul has hoped in the Lord.	5 Хай осоромляться й назад відступлять усі ті, що Сіон ненавидять!
6 From the morning watch, even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.	6 Хай стануть, як трава на покрівлі, що висихає, ще заки зійде,
7 For with the Lord there is mercy, and with him there is bountiful redemption.	7 що нею жнець своєї жмені не наповнить, ані в’язальник — жмутка свого.
8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.	8 Перехожі теж не скажуть: «Благословення Господнє на вас! Ми вас благословляємо ім’ям Господнім».
