Revelation 14

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Next in my vision I saw Mount Zion, and standing on it the Lamb who had with him a hundred andforty-four thousand people, all with his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.	1 Después vi al Cordero que estaba de pie sobre el monte Sión, acompañado de ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil elegidos, que tenían escrito en la frente el nombre del Cordero y de su Padre.
2 I heard a sound coming out of heaven like the sound of the ocean or the roar of thunder; it was like thesound of harpists playing their harps.	2 Oí entonces una voz que venía del cielo, semejante al estrépito de un torrente y al ruido de un fuerte trueno, y esa voz era como un concierto de arpas:
3 There before the throne they were singing a new hymn in the presence of the four living creatures andthe elders, a hymn that could be learnt only by the hundred and forty-four thousand who had been redeemedfrom the world.	3 los elegidos cantaban un canto nuevo delante del trono de Dios, y delante de los cuatro Seres Vivientes y de los Ancianos. Y nadie podía aprender este himno, sino los ciento cuarenta y cuatro mil que habían sido rescatados de la tierra.
4 These are the sons who have kept their virginity and not been defiled with women; they fol ow theLamb wherever he goes; they, out of al people, have been redeemed to be the first-fruits for God and for theLamb.	4 Estos son los que no se han contaminado con mujeres y son vírgenes. Ellos siguen al Cordero donde quiera que vaya. Han sido los primeros hombres rescatados para Dios y para el Cordero.
5 No lie was found in their mouths and no fault can be found in them.	5 En su boca nunca hubo mentira y son inmaculados.
6 Then I saw another angel, flying high overhead, sent to announce the gospel of eternity to al who liveon the earth, every nation, race, language and tribe.	6 Luego vi a otro Angel que volaba en lo más alto del cielo, llevando una Buena Noticia, la eterna, la que él debía anunciar a los habitantes de la tierra, a toda nación, familia, lengua y pueblo.
7 He was cal ing, 'Fear God and glorify him, because the time has come for him to sit in judgement;worship the maker of heaven and earth and sea and the springs of water.'	7 El proclamaba con voz potente: «Teman a Dios y glorifíquenlo, porque ha llegado la hora de su Juicio: adoren a aquel que hizo el cielo la tierra, el mar y los manantiales».
8 A second angel fol owed him, cal ing, 'Babylon has fallen, Babylon the Great has fal en, Babylon whichgave the whole world the wine of retribution to drink.'	8 Un segundo Angel lo siguió, anunciando: «Ha caído, ha caído la gran Babilonia, la que ha dado de beber a todas las naciones el vino embriagante de su prostitución».
9 A third angel fol owed, shouting aloud, 'Al those who worship the beast and his statue, or have hadthemselves branded on the hand or forehead,	9 Un tercer Angel lo siguió, diciendo con voz potente: «El que adore a la Bestia o a su imagen y reciba su marca sobre la frente o en la mano,
10 wil be made to drink the wine of God's fury which is ready, undiluted, in his cup of retribution; in fireand brimstone they wil be tortured in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb	10 tendrá que beber el vino de la indignación de Dios, que se ha derramado puro en la copa de su ira; y será atormentado con fuego y azufre, delante de los santos Angeles y delante del Cordero.
11 and the smoke of their torture will rise for ever and ever. There wil be no respite, night or day, forthose who worship the beast or its statue or accept branding with its name.'	11 El humo de su tormento se eleva por los siglos de los siglos, y aquellos que adoran a la Bestia y a su imagen, y reciben la marca de su nombre, no tendrán reposo ni de día ni de noche».
12 This is why there must be perseverance in the saints who keep the commandments of God and faithin Jesus.	12 En esto se pondrá a prueba la perseverancia de los santos, de aquellos que guardan los mandamientos de Dios y la fe de Jesús.
13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say to me, 'Write down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord!Blessed indeed, the Spirit says; now they can rest for ever after their work, since their good deeds go with them.'	13 Luego escuché una voz que me ordenaba desde el cielo: «Escribe: ¡Felices los que mueren en el Señor! Sí –dice el Espíritu– de ahora en adelante, ellos pueden descansar de sus fatigas, porque sus obras los acompañan».
14 Now in my vision I saw a white cloud and, sitting on it, one like a son of man with a gold crown on hishead and a sharp sickle in his hand.	14 Y vi una nube blanca, sobre la cual estaba sentado alguien que parecía Hijo de hombre, con una corona de oro en la cabeza y una hoz afilada en la mano.
15 Then another angel came out of the sanctuary and shouted at the top of his voice to the one sittingon the cloud, 'Ply your sickle and reap: harvest time has come and the harvest of the earth is ripe.'	15 En seguida salió del Templo otro Angel y gritó con voz potente al que estaba sentado sobre la nube: «Empuña tu hoz y siega, porque ha llegado el tiempo de la cosecha y los sembrados de la tierra están maduros».
16 Then the one sitting on the cloud set his sickle to work on the earth, and the harvest of earth was reaped.	16 Y el que estaba sentado sobre la nube pasó su hoz sobre la tierra, y esta quedó segada.
17 Another angel, who also carried a sharp sickle, came out of the temple in heaven,	17 Entonces otro Angel salió del Templo que está en el cielo, llevando también una hoz afilada.
18 and the angel in charge of the fire left the altar and shouted at the top of his voice to the one with thesharp sickle, 'Put your sickle in, and harvest the bunches from the vine of the earth; al its grapes are ripe.'	18 Y salió del altar otro Angel –el que tiene poder sobre el fuego– y gritó con voz potente al que tenía la hoz afilada: «Empuña tu hoz y cosecha los racimos de la viña de la tierra, porque han llegado a su madurez».
19 So the angel set his sickle to work on the earth and harvested the whole vintage of the earth and putit into a huge winepress, the winepress of God's anger,	19 El Angel pasó la hoz afilada sobre la tierra, cosechó la viña y arrojó los racimos en la inmensa cuba de la ira de Dios.
20 outside the city, where it was trodden until the blood that came out of the winepress was up to thehorses' bridles as far away as sixteen hundred furlongs.	20 La cuba fue pisoteada en las afueras de la ciudad, y de la cuba salió tanta sangre, que llegó a la altura de los frenos de los caballos en una extensión de unos trescientos kilómetros.
