2 Corinthians 13

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 This wil be the third time I have confronted you. Whatever the misdemeanour, the evidence of two orthree witnesses is required to sustain a charge.	1 Ecco, questa è la terza volta ch’io vengo a voi; ogni parola è confermata per la bocca di due, o di tre testimoni.
2 I gave you notice once, and now, though I am not with you, I give notice again, just as when I was withyou for a second time, to those who sinned before, and to all others; and it is to this effect, that when I do comenext time, I shal have no mercy.	2 Già l’ho detto innanzi tratto, e lo dico ancora, come presente; anzi, essendo assente, ora scrivo a coloro che hanno innanzi peccato, e tutti gli altri: che se io vengo di nuovo, non risparmierò alcuno.
3 Since you are asking for a proof that it is Christ who speaks in me; he is not weak with you but hispower is at work among you;	3 Poichè voi cercate la prova di Cristo che parla in me, il quale inverso voi non è debole, ma è potente in voi.
4 for, though it was out of weakness that he was crucified, he is alive now with the power of God. We,too, are weak in him, but with regard to you we shal live with him by the power of God.	4 Perciocchè, se egli è stato crocifisso per debolezza, pur vive egli per la potenza di Dio; perciocchè ancora noi siam deboli in lui, ma viveremo con lui, per la potenza di Dio, inverso voi.
5 Put yourselves to the test to make sure you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Do you notrecognise yourselves as people in whom Jesus Christ is present? - unless, that is, you fail the test.	5 Provate voi stessi, se siete nella fede; fate sperienza di voi stessi; non vi riconoscete voi stessi, che Gesù Cristo è in voi? se già non siete riprovati.
6 But we, as I hope you wil come to recognise, do not fail the test.	6 Ed io spero che voi riconoscerete che noi non siam riprovati
7 It is our prayer to God that you may do nothing wrong -- not so that we have the credit of passing atest, but because you wil be doing what is right, even if we do not pass the test.	7 Or io prego Iddio che voi non facciate alcun male; non acciocchè noi appaiamo approvati, ma acciocchè voi facciate quel che è bene, e noi siamo come riprovati.
8 We have no power to resist the truth; only to further the truth;	8 Perciocchè noi non possiam nulla contro alla verità, ma tutto ciò che possiamo è per la verità.
9 and we are delighted to be weak if only you are strong. What we ask in our prayers is that you shouldbe made perfect.	9 Poichè ci rallegriamo quando siam deboli, e voi siete forti; ma ben desideriamo ancora questo, cioè il vostro intiero ristoramento.
10 That is why I am writing this while still far away, so that when I am with you I shal not have to beharsh, with the authority that the Lord has given me, an authority that is for building up and not for breakingdown.	10 Perciò, io scrivo queste cose, essendo assente; acciocchè, essendo presente, io non proceda rigidamente, secondo la podestà, la quale il Signore mi ha data, a edificazione, e non a distruzione
11 To end then, brothers, we wish you joy; try to grow perfect; encourage one another; have a commonmind and live in peace, and the God of love and peace wil be with you.	11 Nel rimanente, fratelli, rallegratevi, siate ristorati, siate consolati, abbiate un medesimo sentimento, e state in pace;
12 Greet one another with the holy kiss. Al God's holy people send you their greetings.	12 e l’Iddio della carità, e della pace sarà con voi.
13 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fel owship of the Holy Spirit be with youal .	13 Salutatevi gli uni gli altri con un santo bacio; tutti i santi vi salutano.
	14 La grazia del Signor Gesù Cristo, e la carità di Dio, e la comunione dello Spirito Santo, sia con tutti voi. Amen
