2 Corinthians 13

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 This wil be the third time I have confronted you. Whatever the misdemeanour, the evidence of two orthree witnesses is required to sustain a charge.	1 Iré a visitarlos por tercera vez. Toda cuestión debe decidirse por la declaración de dos o tres testigos.
2 I gave you notice once, and now, though I am not with you, I give notice again, just as when I was withyou for a second time, to those who sinned before, and to all others; and it is to this effect, that when I do comenext time, I shal have no mercy.	2 Ahora que estoy ausente, les repito la advertencia que les hice en mi segunda visita: cuando vuelva, seré implacable con los que pecaron y también con todos los demás.
3 Since you are asking for a proof that it is Christ who speaks in me; he is not weak with you but hispower is at work among you;	3 Esta será la prueba que ustedes buscan de que es Cristo el que habla por medio de mí: él no se muestra débil con ustedes, sino que ejerce su poder en ustedes.
4 for, though it was out of weakness that he was crucified, he is alive now with the power of God. We,too, are weak in him, but with regard to you we shal live with him by the power of God.	4 Es cierto que él fue crucificado en razón de su debilidad, pero vive por el poder de Dios. Así también, nosotros participamos de su debilidad, pero viviremos con él por la fuerza de Dios, para actuar entre ustedes.
5 Put yourselves to the test to make sure you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Do you notrecognise yourselves as people in whom Jesus Christ is present? - unless, that is, you fail the test.	5 Examínense para comprobar si están en la verdadera fe. Pónganse a prueba seriamente. ¿No reconocen que Jesucristo está en ustedes? ¡A menos que la prueba se vuelva contra ustedes mismos!
6 But we, as I hope you wil come to recognise, do not fail the test.	6 Entonces tendrán que reconocer –así lo espero– que ella no se vuelve contra nosotros.
7 It is our prayer to God that you may do nothing wrong -- not so that we have the credit of passing atest, but because you wil be doing what is right, even if we do not pass the test.	7 Pedimos a Dios que no hagan nada malo, no para que nosotros salgamos airosos de la prueba, sino para que ustedes hagan el bien, aunque de ese modo la prueba se vuelva contra nosotros.
8 We have no power to resist the truth; only to further the truth;	8 Porque no tenemos ningún poder contra la verdad, sino a favor de ella.
9 and we are delighted to be weak if only you are strong. What we ask in our prayers is that you shouldbe made perfect.	9 Sí, nosotros nos regocijamos de ser débiles, con tal de que ustedes sean fuertes. Lo que pedimos en nuestra oración es que lleguen a ser perfectos.
10 That is why I am writing this while still far away, so that when I am with you I shal not have to beharsh, with the authority that the Lord has given me, an authority that is for building up and not for breakingdown.	10 De ahí el tono de esta carta que les escribo durante mi ausencia, para que cuando llegue no me vea obligado a ser severo, usando del poder que el Señor me ha dado para edificar y no para destruir.
11 To end then, brothers, we wish you joy; try to grow perfect; encourage one another; have a commonmind and live in peace, and the God of love and peace wil be with you.	11 Por último, hermanos, alégrense, trabajen para alcanzar la perfección, anímense unos a otros, vivan en armonía y en paz. Y entonces, el Dios del amor y de la paz permanecerá con ustedes.
12 Greet one another with the holy kiss. Al God's holy people send you their greetings.	12 Salúdense mutuamente con el beso santo. Todos los hermanos les envían saludos.
13 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fel owship of the Holy Spirit be with youal .	13 La gracia del Señor Jesucristo, el amor de Dios y la comunión del Espíritu Santo permanezcan con todos ustedes.
