Luke 12

1 Meanwhile the people had gathered in their thousands so that they were treading on one another. Andhe began to speak, first of al to his disciples. 'Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees -- theirhypocrisy.	1 Amikor olyan nagy tömeg gyűlt össze körülötte, hogy csaknem legázolták egymást, először csak a tanítványaihoz kezdett beszélni: »Óvakodjatok a farizeusok kovászától, vagyis a képmutatástól.

8 'I tel you, if anyone openly declares himself for me in the presence of human beings, the Son of manwil declare himself for him in the presence of God's angels.	8 Mondom pedig nektek: Aki megvall engem az emberek előtt, azt az Emberfia is megvallja majd Isten angyalai előtt.
9 But anyone who disowns me in the presence of human beings wil be disowned in the presence ofGod's angels.	9 Aki pedig megtagad engem az emberek előtt, azt ő is megtagadja majd Isten angyalai előtt.
10 'Everyone who says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven, but no one who blasphemesagainst the Holy Spirit wil be forgiven.	10 Ha valaki az Emberfia ellen szól, bocsánatot nyer; de aki a Szentlelket káromolja, annak nincs bocsánat.
11 'When they take you before synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how todefend yourselves or what to say,	11 Mikor pedig a zsinagógába, elöljárók és hatóságok elé hurcolnak benneteket, ne aggódjatok azon, hogy hogyan és mivel védekezzetek, vagy mit mondjatok,

15 Then he said to them, 'Watch, and be on your guard against avarice of any kind, for life does notconsist in possessions, even when someone has more than he needs.'	15 Aztán így szólt hozzájuk: »Vigyázzatok és őrizkedjetek minden kapzsiságtól, mert nem a vagyonban való bővelkedéstől függ az ember élete.«
16 Then he told them a parable, 'There was once a rich man who, having had a good harvest from hisland,	16 Példabeszédet is mondott nekik: »Egy gazdag embernek a földje bőséges termést hozott.
17 thought to himself, "What am I to do? I have not enough room to store my crops."	17 Akkor így gondolkozott magában: ‘Mit tegyek? Nincs hová gyűjtsem a termésemet.’

20 But God said to him, "Fool! This very night the demand wil be made for your soul; and this hoard ofyours, whose wil it be then?"	20 Isten azonban így szólt hozzá: ‘Esztelen! Még az éjjel számon kérik tőled lelkedet. Kié lesz mindaz, amit szereztél?’
21 So it is when someone stores up treasure for himself instead of becoming rich in the sight of God.'	21 Így jár az, aki kincset gyűjt magának, és nem az Istenben gazdag.«
22 Then he said to his disciples, 'That is why I am tel ing you not to worry about your life and what youare to eat, nor about your body and how you are to clothe it.	22 Majd így szólt tanítványaihoz: »Ezért azt mondom nektek: Ne aggódjatok életetek miatt, hogy mit egyetek, se a testetek miatt, hogy mibe öltözzetek.
23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.	23 Az élet több az eledelnél, és a test a ruházatnál.
24 Think of the ravens. They do not sow or reap; they have no storehouses and no barns; yet God feedsthem. And how much more you are worth than the birds!	24 Nézzétek a hollókat! Nem vetnek, nem aratnak, nincs kamrájuk, sem magtáruk, és az Isten táplálja őket. Mennyivel többet értek ti akárhány madárnál!
25 Can any of you, however much you worry, add a single cubit to your span of life?	25 Aggodalmaskodásával ki adhat közületek az életéhez akár egy arasznyit is?

27 Think how the flowers grow; they never have to spin or weave; yet, I assure you, not even Solomon inal his royal robes was clothed like one of them.	27 Nézzétek a liliomokat, hogyan növekednek! 31 No; set your hearts on his kingdom, and these other things will be given you as well.	31 Ti keressétek csak az ő országát, és mindezt megkapjátok hozzá.

33 'Sel your possessions and give to those in need. 37 Blessed those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. 46 his master wil come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not know. 48 The one who did not know, but has acted in such a way that he deserves a beating, will be givenfewer strokes. 49 'I have come to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were blazing already!	49 Azért jöttem, hogy tüzet bocsássak a földre; s mennyire szeretném, ha már fellobbanna!
50 There is a baptism I must stil receive, and what constraint I am under until it is completed!	50 Keresztséggel kell megkeresztelkednem, és mennyire vágyom utána, amíg be nem teljesedik!
51 'Do you suppose that I am here to bring peace on earth? No, I tel you, but rather division.	51 Azt gondoljátok talán: azért jöttem, hogy békét hozzak a földre? Mondom nektek: nem, hanem széthúzást.
52 For from now on, a household of five will be divided: three against two and two against three;	52 Mert mostantól fogva ha öten lesznek egy házban, meghasonlanak, hárman kettő ellen, és ketten három ellen.
53 father opposed to son, son to father, mother to daughter, daughter to mother, mother-in-law todaughter-in-law, daughter-in-law to mother-in-law.'	53 Meghasonlik az apa a fiával és a fiú az apjával; az anya a lányával és a lány az anyjával; az anyós a menyével és a meny az anyósával« .
54 He said again to the crowds, 'When you see a cloud looming up in the west you say at once that rainis coming, and so it does.	54 Ezután a tömeghez is szólt: »Amikor látjátok, hogy nyugatról felhő támad, mindjárt azt mondjátok: ‘Jön az eső’, és úgy is lesz;

56 Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the face of the earth and the sky. How is it you do not knowhow to interpret these times?	56 Képmutatók! Az ég és föld jeleiből tudtok következtetni, ezt az időt miért nem tudjátok hát megítélni?
57 'Why not judge for yourselves what is upright?	57 Miért nem jöttök rá magatok, hogy mi az igazságos?
58 For example: when you are going to court with your opponent, make an effort to settle with him on theway, or he may drag you before the judge and the judge hand you over to the officer and the officer have youthrown into prison.	58 Mikor pedig ellenfeleddel az elöljáróhoz mész, útközben igyekezz megegyezni vele, nehogy a bíróhoz hurcoljon, s a bíró átadjon a börtönőrnek, a börtönőr pedig tömlöcbe vessen.
59 I tel you, you wil not get out til you have paid the very last penny.'	59 Mondom neked, ki nem jössz onnan, míg az utolsó fillért is meg nem fizeted.«
