1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 I dođe mi riječ Jahvina:
2 'Son of man, prophesy and say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Howl: Disaster day!	2 »Sine čovječji, prorokuj i reci: Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Kukajte: ‘Jao dana!’
3 For the day is near, the day of Yahweh is near; it wil be a day dark with cloud, a time of doom for thenations.	3 Jer se bliži dan, bliži se dan Jahvin! Dan oblačan, vrijeme narodima određeno.
4 "The sword wil come on Egypt, and anguish on the country of Cush when the slaughtered fal inEgypt, when her riches are carried away and her foundations are destroyed.	4 I mač će ući u Egipat, a strah će ophrvati Etiopiju kad mrtvi stanu padati po Egiptu i kad se razgrabi njegovo blago te kad mu temelje sve sruše.
5 Cush, Put and Lud, all Arabia, Cub and the children of the country of the covenant will fal by thesword with them.	5 Kuš, Put i Lud, sva Arabija i Libija, i sinovi zemlje Krete s njima od mača će izginuti!’
6 "Yahweh says this: "The supports of Egypt wil fall; the pride of her strength wil crumble; they will fal by the sword from Migdol to Syene -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	6 Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Past će koji podupiru Egipat i srozat će se ponos njegove moći. Od Migdola do Sevana sve će u njemu od mača pasti’ – riječ je Jahve Gospoda.
7 "They will be the most desolate of desolate countries, and its cities the most ruined of cities.	7 ‘On će biti pustoš među opustošenim zemljama, a njegovi gradovi ruševine među razrušenim gradovima.
8 And they wil know that I am Yahweh when I set fire to Egypt and al its supports are shattered.	8 I znat će da sam ja Jahve kad zapalim svoj oganj u Egiptu i zatrem sve pomagače njegove.
9 "That day, I shal send messengers by ship to terrify the carefree Cushites, and anguish wil overtakethem on the day of Egypt -- it is coming now!	9 U onaj će dan glasnici od mene na lađama isploviti da zastraše bezbrižnu Etiopiju. I strah će je ophrvati u dan egipatski. Jer, evo, bliži se!’
10 The Lord Yahweh says this: I shal destroy the huge population of Egypt at the hand ofNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.	10 Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Uništit ću mnoštvo egipatsko rukom Nabukodonozora, kralja babilonskoga!
11 He and his people, the most barbarous of nations, wil be brought to ravage the country. They wildraw the sword against Egypt and fil the country with corpses.	11 On i njegov narod s njime – najokrutniji među narodima – bit će dovedeni da zemlju zatru. I oni će isukati mač na Egipat i svu će mu zemlju truplima ispuniti.
12 I shal dry up the courses of the Nile and sel the country to the wicked. I shal lay the whole countrywaste and everything in it, at the hand of foreigners. I, Yahweh, have spoken.	12 A ja ću isušiti rijeke i zemlju predati u ruke silnicima, opustošit ću zemlju i što je u njoj – rukom tuđinaca. Ja, Jahve, rekoh!’
13 "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall destroy the foul idols and take the false gods away from Noph.Egypt wil be left without a ruler. I shall spread fear through Egypt.	13 Ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Razorit ću kumire i ništavila istrijebiti iz Memfisa, i neće više biti knezova u egipatskoj zemlji, a strah ću posijati u zemlji egipatskoj.
14 I shal lay Pathros waste, set Zoan on fire, inflict my punishments on No.	14 Opustošit ću Patros, zapaliti Soan, izvršiti sud na Tebi.
15 I shal vent my fury on Sin, the bastion of Egypt; I shall wipe out the throngs of No.	15 Iskalit ću gnjev nad Sinom, tvrđom egipatskom, istrijebit ću mnoštvo u Tebi.
16 I shal set fire to Egypt; Sin will be seized with convulsions; a breach wil be opened at No and thewaters flood out.	16 Zapalit ću oganj pod Egiptom: Sin će uzdrhtati od strave, Teba će biti osvojena, a Memfis u tjeskobi dan za danom.
17 The young men of On and Pi-Beseth wil fal by the sword and the cities themselves go into captivity.	17 Mladići Heliopola i Pi-Beseta od mača će pasti. A oni će biti odvedeni u ropstvo!
18 At Tahpanhes day will turn to darkness when I shatter the sceptres of Egypt there, when the pride ofher strength ceases. A cloud will cover Egypt itself, and its daughters will go into captivity.	18 Nad Tafnisom pomrčat će dan kad ondje slomim jaram egipatski i kad se dokonča ponos moći u njemu! Nad njim će se nadviti oblak, i njegove će kćeri biti odvedene u ropstvo!
19 Such wil be the punishments I inflict on Egypt. And they wil know that I am Yahweh." '	19 Tako ću izvršiti sud nad Egiptom, i znat će da sam ja Jahve.’«
20 In the eleventh year, on the seventh day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to meas fol ows,	20 Godine jedanaeste, prvoga mjeseca, sedmoga dana, dođe mi riječ Jahvina:
21 'Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; you can see that no one has dressedhis wound by applying remedies to it, by bandaging it and by dressing it, to make it strong enough to wield thesword.	21 »Sine čovječji, gle, slomih mišicu faraonu, kralju egipatskom! I evo, nisu je ni povili: nisu metnuli lijekove niti su je povojima obavili da je okrijepe kako bi se opet mogla prihvatiti mača.
22 This being so, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Look, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt; I shal breakhis arms, the sound one and the broken one, and make the sword drop from his hand.	22 Stoga ovako govori Jahve Gospod: ‘Evo me protiv faraona, kralja egipatskoga, da mu slomim obje ruke, i zdravu i slomljenu, i da mu mač izbijem iz ruke!
23 I shal scatter Egypt among the nations and disperse it among the countries.	23 Razagnat ću Egipćane među narode i rasijati ih po zemljama!
24 I shal strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand. I shal breakPharaoh's arms and, confronted with his enemy, he wil groan like a dying man.	24 Ojačat ću ruke kralju babilonskom i mač ću svoj staviti u njegovu ruku; a faraonu ću slomiti ruke te će stenjati pred neprijateljem kao ranjenik.
25 I shal strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh wil fall. And they wilknow that I am Yahweh, when I put my sword into the hands of the king of Babylon and he wields it againstEgypt.	25 Da, ojačat ću ruke kralju babilonskom, a ruke će faraonove klonuti. I znat će se da sam ja Jahve kad metnem mač svoj u ruke kralju babilonskom i on ga zavitla nad zemljom egipatskom.
26 I shal scatter Egypt among the nations and disperse it among the countries; and they wil know that Iam Yahweh." '	26 Raspršit ću Egipćane među narode i rasijati ih po zemljama. I znat će da sam ja Jahve.’«
