Jeremiah 52

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he came to the throne, and he reigned for eleven years inJerusalem. His mother's name was Hamital daughter of Jeremiah, of Libnah.	1 Sedecia aveva ventun anni quando cominciò a regnare, e regnò undici anni in Gerusalemme. Il nome di sua madre era Camithal, figlia di Geremia di Libna.
2 He did what is displeasing to Yahweh, just as Jehoiakim had done.	2 Egli agì male agli occhi del Signore, secondo tutto ciò che aveva fatto Ioiakìm.
3 That this should happen to Jerusalem and Judah was due to Yahweh's anger, resulting in his castingthem away from his presence. Zedekiah rebel ed against the king of Babylon.	3 Ciò avvenne in Gerusalemme e Giuda a causa dell'ira del Signore, fino al punto che egli le rigettò dalla sua presenza. 4 In the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar kingof Babylon advanced on Jerusalem with his entire army; he pitched camp in front of the city and threw upearthworks round it.	4 Or nell'anno nono del suo regno, nel mese decimo, il dieci del mese, Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia, con tutto il suo esercito, arrivò contro Gerusalemme e si accamparono contro di essa e la circondò con opere d'assedio tutto all'intorno.

The king and al the fighting men then fled, leaving the city undercover of dark, by way of the gate between the two wal s, which is near the king's garden -- the Chaldaeans hadsurrounded the city -- and made his way towards the Arabah.	7 Allora fu aperta una breccia nella città e tutti gli uomini di guerra fuggirono, uscendo dalla città di notte, attraverso la Porta tra i due muri che è presso il Giardino del re, mentre i Caldei circondavano la città all'intorno, e se ne andarono verso l'Araba.
8 The Chaldaean troops pursued the king and caught up with Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, where allhis troops deserted.	8 Però le truppe dei Caldei inseguirono il re e raggiunsero Sedecia nell'Araba di Gerico, mentre tutto il suo esercito si disperse abbandonandolo.
9 But the Chaldaeans captured the king and took him to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the territory ofHamath, where he passed sentence on him.	9 Presero il re e lo condussero in Ribla, nel territorio di Amat, al re di Babilonia che istituì un giudizio contro di lui.

17 The Chaldaeans broke up the bronze pil ars from the Temple of Yahweh, the wheeled stands and thebronze Sea, which were in the Temple of Yahweh, and took al the bronze away to Babylon.	17 I Caldei spezzarono le colonne di bronzo che erano nella casa del Signore e le basi e il mare di bronzo che era nella casa del Signore e asportarono tutto il bronzo in Babilonia.
18 They also took the ash containers, the scoops, the knives, the sprinkling bowls, the incense bowls,and all the bronze furnishings used in worship.	18 Presero anche le caldaie, le palette, i coltelli, i bacini, le coppe e tutti gli utensili di bronzo di uso liturgico.
19 The commander of the guard also took the bowls, the censers, the sprinkling bowls, the ashcontainers, the lamp-stands, the goblets and the saucers: everything that was made of gold and everythingmade of silver.	19 Il capo della guardia prese pure i bicchieri, i bracieri, i bacili, le caldaie, i candelabri, le coppe e i calici, quelli in oro e quelli in argento.
20 As regards the two pil ars, the one Sea, the twelve bronze oxen supporting the Sea, and the wheeledstands, which King Solomon had made for the Temple of Yahweh, there was no reckoning the weight of bronzein all these objects.	20 Quanto alle due colonne, all'unico mare, ai dodici buoi di bronzo, che stavano sotto di esso, alle basi, cose che fece il re Salomone per la casa del Signore, non si poteva pesare il bronzo di tutti questi utensili.
21 As regards the pil ars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits, its circumference was twelvecubits, it was four fingers thick, and hol ow inside;	21 L'altezza di ogni colonna era di diciotto cubiti e un filo di dodici cubiti poteva circondarla; il suo spessore era di quattro dita; all'interno era vuota.
22 on it stood a capital of bronze, the height of the capital being five cubits; round the capital were filigreeand pomegranates, al in bronze. So also for the second pil ar.	22 Il capitello che la sormontava era di bronzo e l'altezza di un capitello era di cinque cubiti; una rete e melagrane stavano attorno al capitello, il tutto di bronzo; e come questa era anche la seconda colonna con melagrane.
23 There were ninety-six pomegranates round the sides, making a hundred pomegranates round thefiligree in al .	23 Le melagrane erano novantasei, pendenti. Il totale delle melagrane era di cento sulla rete all'intorno.
24 The commander of the guard took prisoner Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the priest next in rank,and the three guardians of the threshold.	24 Il capo della guardia prese anche Seraià, sacerdote-capo, e Sefania, sacerdote in seconda, e tre custodi della soglia.

30 in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan commander of the guard deported sevenhundred and forty-five Judaeans. 31 But in the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on thetwenty-fifth day of the month, Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the year he came to the throne, pardonedJehoiachin king of Judah and released him from prison.	31 Nell'anno trentasettesimo della deportazione di Ioiachìn, re di Giuda, nel dodicesimo mese, il venticinque del mese, Evil-Merodàch, re di Babilonia, nell'anno della sua intronizzazione, graziò Ioiachìn, re di Giuda e lo fece uscire dalla prigione.
