Leviticus 3

1 ' "If his sacrifice is a communion sacrifice, and if he offers an animal from the herd, be it male or female,whatever he offers before Yahweh must be unblemished.	1 "If someone in presenting a peace offering makes his offering from the herd, he may offer before the LORD either a male or a female animal, but it must be without blemish.
2 He wil lay his hand on the victim's head and slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Thepriests descended from Aaron wil then pour the blood al around the altar.	2 He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and then slaughter it at the entrance of the meeting tent; but Aaron's sons, the priests, shall splash its blood on the sides of the altar.
3 He wil offer part of the communion sacrifice as food burnt for Yahweh: the fat covering the entrails, althe fat on the entrails,	3 From the peace offering he shall offer as an oblation to the LORD the fatty membrane over the inner organs, and all the fat that adheres to them,
4 both kidneys, the fat on them and on the loins, the mass of fat which he wil remove from the liver andkidneys.	4 as well as the two kidneys, with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he shall sever above the kidneys.
5 The priests descended from Aaron will then burn this on the altar, in addition to the burnt offering, on thewood of the fire, food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	5 All this Aaron's sons shall then burn on the altar with the holocaust, on the wood over the fire, as a sweet-smelling oblation to the LORD.
6 "If it is an animal from the flock which he offers as a communion sacrifice to Yahweh, be the animal thathe offers male or female, it must be unblemished.	6 "If the peace offering he presents to the LORD is from the flock, he may offer either a male or a female animal, but it must be without blemish.
7 "If he offers a sheep, he wil offer it before Yahweh,	7 If he presents a lamb as his offering, he shall bring it before the LORD,
8 he wil lay his hand on the victim's head and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting; the priestsdescended from Aaron wil then pour its blood al around the altar.	8 and after laying his hand on the head of his offering, he shall slaughter it before the meeting tent; but Aaron's sons shall splash its blood on the sides of the altar.
9 Of the communion sacrifice he wil offer the fol owing as food burnt for Yahweh: the fat, al the tail takenoff near the base of the spine, the fat covering the entrails, al the fat on the entrails,	9 As an oblation to the LORD he shall present the fat of the peace offering: the whole fatty tail, which he must sever close to the spine, the fatty membrane over the inner organs, and all the fat that adheres to them,
10 both kidneys, the fat on them and on the loins, the mass of fat which he wil remove from the liver andkidneys.	10 as well as the two kidneys, with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he must sever above the kidneys.
11 The priest wil then burn this on the altar as food, as food burnt for Yahweh.	11 All this the priest shall burn on the altar as the food of the LORD'S oblation.
12 "If his offering is a goat, he will offer it before Yahweh,	12 "If he presents a goat, he shall bring it before the LORD,
13 he wil lay his hand on the victim's head and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting, and thedescendants of Aaron wil then pour its blood al around the altar.	13 and after laying his hand on its head, he shall slaughter it before the meeting tent; but Aaron's sons shall splash its blood on the sides of the altar.
14 This is what he wil then offer of it as food burnt for Yahweh: the fat covering the entrails, al the fat onthe entrails,	14 From it he shall offer as an oblation to the LORD the fatty membrane over the inner organs, and all the fat that adheres to them,
15 both kidneys, the fat on them and on the loins, the mass of fat which he wil remove from the liver andkidneys.	15 as well as the two kidneys, with the fat on them near the loins, and the lobe of the liver, which he must sever above the kidneys.
16 The priest wil then burn these pieces on the altar as food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh. "All thefat belongs to Yahweh.	16 All this the priest shall burn on the altar as the food of the sweet-smelling oblation. All the fat belongs to the LORD.
17 This is a perpetual law for al your descendants, wherever you may live: that you will not eat either fator blood." '	17 This shall be a perpetual ordinance for your descendants wherever they may dwell. You shall not partake of any fat or any blood."
