Leviticus 18

1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "I am Yahweh your God:	2 « Parla ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Io sono il Signore Dio vostro:
3 You must not behave as they do in Egypt where you used to live; you must not behave as they do inCanaan where I am taking you, nor must you fol ow their laws.	3 voi non farete secondo le usanze del paese d'Egitto in cui avete abitato, nè agirete secondo il costume della terra di Canaan, dove io vi farò entrare. Non seguirete le loro leggi;
4 You must observe my customs and keep my laws, fol owing them. "I, Yahweh, am your God:	4 ma praticherete i miei comandamenti, osserverete i miei precetti e vi conformerete ad essi. Io sono il Signore Dio vostro:
5 hence you wil keep my laws and my customs. Whoever complies with them wil find life in them. "I amYahweh.	5 custodite le mie leggi ed i miei comandamenti: l'uomo che li osserva vivrà per essi. Io sono il Signore.
6 "None of you wil approach a woman who is closely related to him, to have intercourse with her. I amYahweh.	6 Nessuno si accosterà ad una parente carnale per scoprirne la nudità. Io sono il Signore.
7 "You wil not have intercourse with your father or your mother. She is your mother -- you wil not haveintercourse with her.	7 Non scoprirai la nudità di tuo padre, nè di tua madre: essa è tua madre, non scoprirai la sua nudità.
8 "You wil not have intercourse with your father's wife; it is your father's sexual prerogative.	8 Non scoprirai la nudità della moglie di tuo padre; è la nudità di tuo padre.
9 "You wil not have intercourse with your sister, whether she is your father's or your mother's daughter.Whether she was born in the same house or elsewhere, you wil not have intercourse with her.	9 Non scoprirai la nudità di tua sorella di padre o di madre, sia essa nata in casa o fuori.
10 "You will not have intercourse with your son's or your daughter's daughter; for their sexual privacy isyour own.	10 Non scoprirai la nudità della figlia di tuo figlio o di tua figlia: è tua nudità.
11 "You will not have intercourse with the daughter of your father's wife, born to your father. She is yoursister; you wil not have intercourse with her.	11 Non scoprirai la nudità della figlia della moglie di tuo padre, generata da tuo padre: essa è tua sorella.
12 "You will not have intercourse with your father's sister; for she is your father's own flesh and blood.	12 Non scoprirai la nudità della sorella di tuo padre: è carne di tuo padre.
13 "You will not have intercourse with your mother's sister; for she is your mother's own flesh and blood.	13 Non scoprirai la nudità della sorella di tua madre: è carne di tua madre.
14 "You will not have intercourse with your father's brother; you wil not approach his wife. She is youraunt.	14 Non scoprirai la nudità del tuo zio paterno, nè ti accosterai alla moglie di lui: è tua zia.
15 "You will not have intercourse with your daughter-in-law. She is your son's wife; you wil not haveintercourse with her.	15 Non scoprirai la nudità della tua nuora: è moglie del tuo figliolo, e tu non devi scoprire la sua ignominia.
16 "You will not have intercourse with your brother's wife; it is your brother's sexual prerogative.	16 Non scoprirai la nudità della moglie di tuo fratello: è nudità del tuo fratello.
17 "You will not have intercourse with a woman and her daughter; nor wil you take her son's or herdaughter's daughter, to have intercourse with them. They are your own flesh and blood; it would be incest.	17 Non scoprirai la nudità della tua moglie e della sua figlia; nè prenderai la figlia del figlio o della figlia di lei per scoprirne l'ignominia, perchè son carne di tua moglie, e tale unione è un incesto.
18 "You will not take a woman and her sister into your harem at the same time, to have intercourse withthe latter while the former is stil alive.	18 Non prenderai per concubina la sorella di tua moglie, e non scoprirai la sua nudità, finché tua moglie è viva.
19 "You will not approach and have intercourse with a woman who is in a state of menstrual pol ution.	19 Non ti accosterai alla donna per scoprirne la nudità nel tempo che ha i corsi.
20 "Furthermore, you will not have intercourse with your fel ow-citizen's wife; you would become uncleanby doing so.	20 Non ti unirai colla donna del tuo prossimo, per non contaminarti con tal unione.
21 "You will not al ow any of your children to be sacrificed to Molech, thus profaning the name of yourGod. I am Yahweh.	21 Non darai dei tuoi figlioli per essere consacrati all'idolo Moloc, e non profanerai il nome del tuo Dio. Io sono il Signore.
22 "You will not have intercourse with a man as you would with a woman. This is a hateful thing.	22 Non ti accosterai ad un uomo come ad una donna: è un'abbominazione.
23 "You will not have intercourse with any kind of animal; you would become unclean by doing so. Norwil a woman offer herself to an animal, to have intercourse with it. This would be a violation of nature.	23 Non ti accosterai ad alcuna bestia, per non contaminarti con essa; e la donna non si accosterà ad una bestia, nè si unirà con essa: è sceleraggine.
24 "Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these practices, for it was by such things that the nationsthat I am driving out before you made themselves unclean.	24 Non vi contaminate con nessuna di queste cose, colle quali si son contaminate tutte le nazioni che io caccerò dal vostro cospetto:
25 The country has become unclean; hence I am about to punish it for its guilt, and the country itself willvomit out its inhabitants.	25 la terra ne è stata contaminata, ed io ne punirò l'iniquità facendole vomitare i suoi abitatori.
26 "You, however, must keep my laws and customs and not do any of these hateful things: none of yourcitizens, none of your resident aliens.	26 Osservate le mie leggi e i miei comandamenti, e non fate di queste abbominazioni, nè il nativo del paese, nè il forestiero che abita fra voi;
27 For al these hateful things were done by the people who lived in the country before you, and thecountry became unclean.	27 perchè tutte queste cose esecrande le fece chi prima di voi abitò questa terra e l'ha contaminata.
28 If you make it unclean, wil it not vomit you out as it vomited out the nations there before you?	28 Guardate adunque di non far come loro, chè la terra non vomiti ugualmente anche voi, come ha vomitato il popolo che prima di voi vi abitava.
29 Yes, anyone who does any of these hateful things, whatever it may be, any person doing so, wil beoutlawed from his people;	29 Chiunque commetterà di queste abbominazioni perirà di mezzo al popolo.
30 so keep my rules and do not observe any of the hateful laws which were in force before you came;then you wil not be made unclean by them. I am Yahweh your God." '	30 Osservate i miei comandamenti. Non fate le cose fatte da coloro che sono stati prima di voi, e non vi contaminate in esse. Io sono il Signore ».
