Leviticus 18

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 IL Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo: Parla a’ figliuoli d’Israele, e di’ loro:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "I am Yahweh your God:	2 Io sono il Signore Iddio vostro.
3 You must not behave as they do in Egypt where you used to live; you must not behave as they do inCanaan where I am taking you, nor must you fol ow their laws.	3 Non fate secondo l’opere del paese di Egitto, nel quale siete dimorati; non fate altresì secondo l’opere del paese di Canaan, dove io vi conduco; e non procedete secondo i lor costumi.
4 You must observe my customs and keep my laws, fol owing them. "I, Yahweh, am your God:	4 Mettete in opera le mie leggi, e osservate i miei statuti, per camminare in essi.
5 hence you wil keep my laws and my customs. Whoever complies with them wil find life in them. "I amYahweh.	5 Io sono il Signore Iddio vostro. Osservate, dico, i miei statuti, e le mie leggi; le quali chiunque metterà in opera viverà per esse. Io sono il Signore
6 "None of you wil approach a woman who is closely related to him, to have intercourse with her. I amYahweh.	6 Niuno si accosti ad alcuna sua carnal parente, per iscoprire le sue vergogne. Io sono il Signore.
7 "You wil not have intercourse with your father or your mother. She is your mother -- you wil not haveintercourse with her.	7 Non iscoprir le vergogne di tuo padre, nè le vergogne di tua madre: ell’è tua madre; non iscoprir le sue vergogne.
8 "You wil not have intercourse with your father's wife; it is your father's sexual prerogative.	8 Non iscoprir le vergogne della moglie di tuo padre; esse son le vergogne di tuo padre.
9 "You wil not have intercourse with your sister, whether she is your father's or your mother's daughter.Whether she was born in the same house or elsewhere, you wil not have intercourse with her.	9 Non iscoprir le vergogne di tua sorella, figliuola di tuo padre, o figliuola di tua madre, generata in casa, o generata fuori.
10 "You will not have intercourse with your son's or your daughter's daughter; for their sexual privacy isyour own.	10 Non iscoprir le vergogne della figliuola del tuo figliuolo, o della figliuola della tua figliuola; conciossiachè esse sieno le tue vergogne proprie.
11 "You will not have intercourse with the daughter of your father's wife, born to your father. She is yoursister; you wil not have intercourse with her.	11 Non iscoprir le vergogne della figliuola della moglie di tuo padre, generata da tuo padre. Ell’è tua sorella.
12 "You will not have intercourse with your father's sister; for she is your father's own flesh and blood.	12 Non iscoprir le vergogne della sorella di tuo padre. Ell’è la carne di tuo padre.
13 "You will not have intercourse with your mother's sister; for she is your mother's own flesh and blood.	13 Non iscoprir le vergogne della sorella di tua madre; perciocchè ell’è la carne di tua madre.
14 "You will not have intercourse with your father's brother; you wil not approach his wife. She is youraunt.	14 Non iscoprir le vergogne del fratello di tuo padre; non accostarti alla sua moglie; ell’è tua zia.
15 "You will not have intercourse with your daughter-in-law. She is your son's wife; you wil not haveintercourse with her.	15 Non iscoprir le vergogne della tua nuora; ell’è moglie del tuo figliuolo; non iscoprir le sue vergogne.
16 "You will not have intercourse with your brother's wife; it is your brother's sexual prerogative.	16 Non iscoprir le vergogne della moglie del tuo fratello; esse son le vergogne del tuo fratello.
17 "You will not have intercourse with a woman and her daughter; nor wil you take her son's or herdaughter's daughter, to have intercourse with them. They are your own flesh and blood; it would be incest.	17 Non iscoprir le vergogne di una donna, e della sua figliuola insieme; non prender la figliuola del suo figliuolo, nè la figliuola della sua figliuola, per iscoprir le lor vergogne; esse sono una medesima carne; ciò è una scelleratezza.
18 "You will not take a woman and her sister into your harem at the same time, to have intercourse withthe latter while the former is stil alive.	18 Non prendere eziandio una donna, insieme con la sua sorella; per esser la sua rivale, scoprendo le vergogne della sua sorella, insieme con lei, in vita sua
19 "You will not approach and have intercourse with a woman who is in a state of menstrual pol ution.	19 E non accostarti a donna, mentre è appartata per la sua immondizia, per iscoprir le sue vergogne.
20 "Furthermore, you will not have intercourse with your fel ow-citizen's wife; you would become uncleanby doing so.	20 E non giacer carnalmente con la moglie del tuo prossimo, contaminandoti con essa.
21 "You will not al ow any of your children to be sacrificed to Molech, thus profaning the name of yourGod. I am Yahweh.	21 E non dar della tua progenie, per farla passar per lo fuoco a Molec; e non profanare il nome dell’Iddio tuo. Io sono il Signore.
22 "You will not have intercourse with a man as you would with a woman. This is a hateful thing.	22 Non giacer carnalmente con maschio; ciò è cosa abbominevole.
23 "You will not have intercourse with any kind of animal; you would become unclean by doing so. Norwil a woman offer herself to an animal, to have intercourse with it. This would be a violation of nature.	23 Parimente, non congiungerti carnalmente con alcuna bestia, per contaminarti con essa; e non presentisi la donna ad alcuna bestia, per farsi coprire; ciò è confusione.
24 "Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these practices, for it was by such things that the nationsthat I am driving out before you made themselves unclean.	24 Non vi contaminate in alcuna di queste cose; conciossiachè le genti, che io scaccio dal vostro cospetto, si sieno contaminate in tutte queste cose.
25 The country has become unclean; hence I am about to punish it for its guilt, and the country itself willvomit out its inhabitants.	25 E il paese è stato contaminato; onde io visito sopra esso la sua iniquità, e il paese vomita fuori i suoi abitatori.
26 "You, however, must keep my laws and customs and not do any of these hateful things: none of yourcitizens, none of your resident aliens.	26 Ma voi, osservate i miei statuti, e le mie leggi; e non fate alcuna di queste cose abbominevoli, nè il natio del paese, nè il forestiere che dimora fra voi;
27 For al these hateful things were done by the people who lived in the country before you, and thecountry became unclean.	27 conciossiachè gli uomini di quel paese, che sono stati innanzi a voi, abbiano fatte tutte queste cose abbominevoli; laonde il paese è stato contaminato;
28 If you make it unclean, wil it not vomit you out as it vomited out the nations there before you?	28 acciocchè il paese non vi vomiti fuori, se voi lo contaminerete; come avrà vomitata fuori la gente ch’era innanzi a voi.
29 Yes, anyone who does any of these hateful things, whatever it may be, any person doing so, wil beoutlawed from his people;	29 Perciocchè, se alcuno fa alcuna di queste cose abbominevoli, le persone che avranno ciò fatto saranno sterminate d’infra il lor popolo.
30 so keep my rules and do not observe any of the hateful laws which were in force before you came;then you wil not be made unclean by them. I am Yahweh your God." '	30 Osservate adunque ciò che io comando che si osservi, per non operare secondo alcuno di que’ costumi abbominevoli, che sono stati usati innanzi a voi; e non vi contaminate in essi. Io sono il Signore Iddio vostro
