NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 Josiah then celebrated a Passover to Yahweh in Jerusalem. The Passover victims were slaughteredon the fourteenth day of the first month.	1 - Josia celebrò in Gerusalemme la Pasqua in onore del Signore, la quale venne immolata nel quattordicesimo giorno del primo mese.
2 He assigned the priests to their posts, encouraging them to do their duty in the Temple of Yahweh.	2 Assegnò ai sacerdoti i loro offici e li esortò ad attendere ai loro ministeri nella casa del Signore.
3 Then he said to the Levites, who had understanding for al Israel and were consecrated to Yahweh,'Put the sacred ark in the Temple built by Solomon son of David, king of Israel. You need not carry it about on your shoulders any more. Now serve Yahweh your God and Israel his people!	3 Anche ai leviti, per le istruzioni dei quali tutto Israele era santificato al Signore, disse: «Collocate l'arca nel santuario del tempio, che fu edificato da Salomone, figliuolo di Davide, re d'Israele, poichè voi non la dovete più portare; ed ora servite al Signore Dio vostro e ad Israele suo popolo;
4 Prepare yourselves by families according to your orders, as laid down in the decree of David king ofIsrael and that of Solomon his son,	4 e tenetevi pronti casa per casa, e famiglia per famiglia, secondo la vostra distribuzione, come ordinò Davide, re di Israele, e fu scritto da Salomone suo figliuolo,
5 and take up positions in the sanctuary corresponding to the family divisions of your brothers the laity,so that there are Levites for each family division.	5 e attendete ai ministeri nel santuario secondo le famiglie e gli ordini levitici.
6 Slaughter the Passover, sanctify yourselves and prepare it so that your brothers can observe it in theway the word of Yahweh through Moses requires.'	6 Poi, dopo esservi santificati, immolate la Pasqua, e preparate anche i vostri fratelli, affinchè essi possano fare, conforme a quanto disse il Signore per mezzo di Mosè».
7 For the laity Josiah provided small livestock, that is, lambs and young goats -- everything for thePassover offerings for al who attended -- to the number of thirty thousand, as well as three thousand bul ocks;these were from the king's own possessions.	7 Di più Josia a tutto il popolo, che fu trovato colà, nella solennità della Pasqua, diede agnelli e capretti dalle gregge, ed altri animali in numero di trentamila e tremila buoi, e ciò da tutta la sostanza del re.
8 His officials also made voluntary contributions for the people, the priests and the Levites; and Hilkiah,Zechariah and Jehiel, the chiefs of the Temple of God, gave two thousand six hundred lambs and three hundredbullocks to the priests for the Passover offerings;	8 Anche i capi suoi offrirono ciò che avevano spontaneamente promesso ai sacerdoti e ai leviti. Così Elcia, Zaccaria e Jaiel, principi della casa del Signore, consegnarono ai sacerdoti per celebrare la Pasqua, duemila e seicento pecore, e trecento buoi:
9 while Conaniah, Shemaiah, Nethanel his brother, Hashabiah, Jeiel and Jozabad, the head Levites,provided five thousand lambs and five hundred bul ocks as Passover offerings for the Levites.	9 mentre Conenia, Semeia, Natanael e i suoi fratelli, Asabia, Jeiel e Jozabad, principi dei leviti, consegnarono agli altri leviti per la celebrazione della Pasqua cinquemila pecore e cinquecento buoi.
10 So the service was arranged, the priests stood in their places and the Levites in their orders as theking had commanded.	10 Preparato tutto per la funzione, i sacerdoti si tennero pronti al loro ufficio; similmente i leviti divisi in schiere, secondo l'ordine avuto dal re.
11 Then they slaughtered the Passover victims and while the priests sprinkled the blood as theyreceived it from the Levites, the latter did the skinning.	11 Fu dunque immolata la Pasqua, e i sacerdoti versarono colle loro mani il sangue e i leviti levarono le pelli dagli olocausti;
12 Next they put the burnt offering aside for presentation to the family divisions of the laity, so that theycould offer it to Yahweh in the way prescribed in the Book of Moses; they did the same with the bul ocks.	12 poi separarono le vittime per distribuirle casa per casa, famiglia per famiglia, e per offrirle al Signore, conforme a quanto è scritto nel libro di Mosè. Lo stesso fecero dei buoi.
13 They roasted the Passover victim over an open fire in accordance with the regulation and boiled theconsecrated offerings in pots, kettles and pans, which they then distributed to al the laity as quickly as theycould.	13 Poi arrostirono la Pasqua sul fuoco, come è scritto nella legge; mentre le ostie pacifiche furono cotte in pentole, in caldaie, in pignatte e poi distribuite in fretta a tutto il popolo.
14 Afterwards they provided for themselves and the priests, since the Aaronite priests were kept busy tilnightfall making the burnt offerings and offering the fat; that was why the Levites prepared the Passover forthemselves and for the Aaronite priests.	14 Quindi prepararono per sè e per i sacerdoti; siccome i sacerdoti erano stati occupati fino a notte nell'offerta degli olocausti e dell'adipe, perciò i leviti, prepararono per sè e per i sacerdoti, figli di Aronne, dopo tutti gli altri.
15 The Asaphite singers were at their places, in accordance with the command of David and Asaph,Heman and Jeduthun the king's seer; so were the gatekeepers at each gate. Because they could not leave theirduties, their brothers the Levites prepared the Passover for them.	15 I cantori poi, figli di Asaf, attendevano al loro ufficio, secondo il precetto di Davide, di Asaf, di Eman e di Iditun, profeti del re. E i portieri stavano alle singole porte per custodirle e neppure per un istante abbandonarono il loro posto; per il che i leviti, loro fratelli, dovettero preparare anche per essi il cibo.
16 So the whole service of Yahweh was arranged that day to celebrate the Passover and to bring burntofferings on the altar of Yahweh, in accordance with King Josiah's command.	16 Si terminò adunque, in quel giorno, tutto il servizio divino secondo il rito della celebrazione della Pasqua e dell'offerta degli olocausti sull'altare del Signore, conforme agli ordini del re Josia.
17 On that occasion the Israelites who were present celebrated the Passover and the feast ofUnleavened Bread for seven days.	17 I figli d'Israele, che si trovarono colà, fecero in quel tempo la Pasqua, e per sette giorni la solennità degli azzimi.
18 No Passover like this one had ever been celebrated in Israel since the days of the prophet Samuel,nor had any of the kings of Israel ever celebrated a Passover like the one celebrated by Josiah, the priests, theLevites, al Judah and Israel who were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.	18 Non era mai stata celebrata in Israele una Pasqua simile, fino dai giorni del profeta Samuele e nessuno di tutti i re d'Israele aveva fatto una Pasqua come Josia, col concorso di sacerdoti, di leviti e di tutto Giuda e Israele che si trovavano colà e di tutti gli abitanti di Gerusalemme.
19 This Passover was celebrated in the eighteenth year of Josiah's reign.	19 Questa Pasqua fu celebrata nel decimottavo anno del regno di Josia.
20 After all this, when Josiah had provided for the Temple, Necho king of Egypt advanced to give battleat Carchemish on the Euphrates and Josiah went to intercept him.	20 Dopo che Josia ebbe restaurato il tempio, Necao, re d'Egitto, salì per combattere in Carcamis presso l'Eufrate. E Josia mosse contro di lui.
21 Necho however sent him messengers to say, 'Why be concerned about me, king of Judah? I havenot come today to attack you; my quarrel is with another dynasty. God has commanded me to move quickly, sokeep wel clear of the god who is with me!'	21 Ma egli gli mandò dei messaggeri a dirgli: «Che vi ha tra me e te, o re di Giuda? Io non vengo per combattere contro di te oggi, ma contro un'altra casa, contro la quale Iddio mi comandò di muovere senza dilazione. Non andar contro al Dio che è con me, perchè egli non ti uccida».
22 But Josiah was not to be deflected from his determination to fight him, and would not listen toNecho's words, which came from the mouth of God. He gave battle in the plain of Megiddo.	22 Josia non volle tornarsene, ma si dispose ad attaccarlo, nè si acconciò alle parole di Necao, che parlava per bocca di Dio, ma si mosse per attaccare battaglia nel campo di Mageddo;
23 The archers shot King Josiah. The king then said to his retainers, 'Take me away; I am badlywounded.'	23 qui egli fu ferito dagli arcieri e disse ai suoi servi: «Traetemi fuori dal combattimento, perchè sono gravemente ferito».
24 So his retainers lifted him out of his own chariot, transferred him to one which he had in reserve andbrought him to Jerusalem, where he died and was buried in the tombs of his ancestors. Al Judah and Jerusalemheld mourning for Josiah.	24 Essi lo trasportarono dal carro in un altro carro, che lo seguiva, conforme ai costumi dei re e lo portarono in Gerusalemme, dove morì; e fu sepolto nel mausoleo de' padri suoi, e tutto Giuda e Gerusalemme lo piansero;
25 Jeremiah composed a lament for Josiah and all the male and female singers to this day lamentJosiah in their dirges; they have made it a rule in Israel; they are recorded in the Lamentations.	25 ma specialmente Geremia, le cui lamentazioni sopra Josia sono, fino ai giorni nostri, ripetute da tutti i cantori e le cantatrici, cosicchè in Israele ebbe quasi valore di legge il detto: «Ecco ciò che si trova scritto nelle Lamentazioni».
26 The rest of the history of Josiah, his deeds of faithful love conforming to what is prescribed in theLaw of Yahweh,	26 Il rimanente delle azioni di Josia e le sue opere buone, come le prescrive la legge del Signore,
27 his history from first to last, are recorded in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.	27 come pure le sue gesta, le prime e le ultime, sono scritte nel libro dei re di Giuda e d'Israele.
