NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Sons of Judah: Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur, Shobal.	1 بنو يهوذا فارص وحصرون وكرمي وحور وشوبال.
2 Reaiah son of Shobal fathered Jahath, and Jahath fathered Ahumai and Lahad. These are theZoreathite clans.	2 ورآيا بن شوبال ولد يحث ويحث ولد اخوماي ولاهد. هذه عشائر الصرعيين.
3 These are Abi-Etam, Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash, whose sister was cal ed Hazzelelponi.	3 وهؤلاء لابي عيطم. يزرعيل ويشما ويدباش واسم اختهم هصّللفوني.
4 Penuel fathered Gedor, and Ezer fathered Hushah. These were the sons of Hur, first-born of Ephrathahand father of Bethlehem.	4 وفنوئيل ابو جدور وعازر ابو حوشة. هؤلاء بنو حور بكر افراتة ابي بيت لحم.
5 Ashhur, father of Tekoa, had two wives: Helah and Naarah.	5 وكان لاشحور ابي تقوع امرأتان حلاة ونعرة.
6 Naarah bore him Ahuzzam, Hepher, the Timnites, and the Ahashtarites -- these were the sons ofNaarah.	6 وولدت له نعرة اخزّام وحافر والتيماني والاخشتاري. هؤلاء بنو نعرة.
7 Sons of Helah: Zereth, Zohar, Ethnan.	7 وبنو حلاة صرث وصوحر واثنان.
8 Koz fathered Anub, Hazzobebah and the clans of Aharhel son of Harum.	8 وقوص ولد عانوب وهصوبيبة وعشائر اخرحيل بن هارم.
9 Jabez was better known than his brothers. His mother gave him the name Jabez, 'because', she said,'in distress I gave birth to him.'	9 وكان يعبيص اشرف من اخوته. وسمتّه امه يعبيص قائلة لاني ولدته بحزن.
10 Jabez cal ed on the God of Israel. 'If you truly bless me,' he said, 'you wil extend my lands, your handwil be with me, you will keep harm away and my distress wil cease.' God granted him what he had asked.	10 ودعا يعبيص اله اسرائيل قائلا ليتك تباركني وتوسّع تخومي وتكون يدك معي وتحفظني من الشر حتى لا يتعبني. فآتاه الله بما سأل.
11 Chelub, Shuhah's brother, fathered Mehir, who fathered Eshton.	11 وكلوب اخو شوحة ولد محير. هو ابو اشتون.
12 Eshton fathered Bethrapha, Paseah and Tehinnah father of Irnahash. These were the men of Recab.	12 واشتون ولد بيت رافا وفاسح وتحنّة ابا مدينة ناحاش. هؤلاء اهل ريكة.
13 Sons of Kenaz: Othniel and Seraiah. Sons of Othniel: Hathath and Meonothai;	13 وابنا قناز عثنيئيل وسرايا وابن عثنيئيل حثاث.
14 Meonothai fathered Ophrah. Seraiah fathered Joab, father of Geharashim -- for they were craftsmen.	14 ومعونوثاي ولد عفرة وسرايا ولد يوآب ابا وادي الصناع لانهم كانوا صنّاعا.
15 Sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah and Naam. Sons of Elah: Kenaz.	15 وبنو كالب بن يفنة عيرو وايلة وناعم. وابن ايلة قناز.
16 Sons of Jehal elel: Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria, Asarel.	16 وبنو يهللئيل زيف وزيفة وتيريا واسرئيل.
17 Sons of Ezrah: Jether, Mered, Epher, Jalon. She conceived Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah, the fatherof Eshtemoa,	17 وبنو عزرة يثر ومرد وعافر ويالون******وحبلت بمريم وشماي ويشبح ابي اشتموع.
18 whose Judaean wife gave birth to Jered father of Gedor, Heber father of Soco, and Jekuthiel, father ofZanoah. These were the sons of Bithiah the daughter of Pharaoh whom Mered had married.	18 وامراته اليهودية ولدت يارد ابا جدور وحابر ابا سوكو ويقوثيئيل ابا زانوح وهؤلاء بنو بثية بنت فرعون التي اخذها مرد.
19 The sons of Hodiah's wife, sister of Naham father of Keilah the Garmite and of Eshtemoa theMaacathite . . .	19 وبنو امرأته اليهودية اخت نحم ابي قعيلة الجرمي واشتموع المعكي.
20 Sons of Shimon: Amnon, Rinnah, Ben-Hanan, Tilon. Sons of Ishi: Zoheth and Ben-Zoheth.	20 وبنو شيمون امنون ورنّة بن حانان وتيلون. وابنا يشعي زوحيت وبنزوحيت
21 Sons of Shelah son of Judah: Er father of Lecah, Laadah father of Mareshah, and the clans oflinenworkers at Beth-Ashbea,	21 بنو شيلة بن يهوذا عير ابو ليكة ولعدة ابو مريشة وعشائر بيت عاملي البزّ من بيت اشبيع.
22 Jokim, the men of Cozeba, Joash and Saraph where Moab found wives and then returned toBethlehem. (These are old traditions.)	22 ويوقيم واهل كزيبا ويوآش وساراف الذين هم اصحاب موآب ويشوبي لحم وهذه الامور قديمة.
23 These were potters and lived at Netaim and Gederah; they resided there, working for the king.	23 هؤلاء هم الخزافون وسكان نتاعيم وجديرة. اقاموا هناك مع الملك لشغله
24 Sons of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Saul;	24 بنو شمعون نموئيل ويامين ويريب وزارح وشاول
25 Shallum was his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.	25 وابنه شلوم وابنه مبسام وابنه مشماع.
26 The sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.	26 وبنو مشماع حموئيل ابنه زكّور ابنه شمعي ابنه.
27 Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but his brothers did not have many children, and the sumof their clans did not multiply as the sons of Judah did.	27 وكان لشمعي ستة عشر ابنا وست بنات. واما اخوته فلم يكن لهم بنون كثيرون وكل عشائرهم لم يكثروا مثل بني يهوذا.
28 They lived in Beersheba, Moladah and Hazar-Shual,	28 واقاموا في بئر سبع ومولادة وحصر شوعال
29 Bilhah, Ezem and Tolad,	29 وفي بلهة وعاصم وتولاد
30 Bethuel, Hormah and Ziklag,	30 وفي بتوئيل وحرمة وصقلغ
31 Beth-Marcaboth, Hazar-Susim, Beth-Biri, Shaaraim.	31 وفي بيت مركبوت وحصر سوسيم وبيت برئي وشعرايم. هذه مدنهم الى حينما ملك داود.
32 These were their towns until the reign of David. Their settlements were: Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochenand Ashan, five towns,	32 وقراهم عيطم وعين ورومون وتوكن وعاشان خمس مدن.
33 and al the dependencies surrounding these towns as far as Baalath. That was where they lived andthey had an official genealogy.	33 وجميع قراهم التي حول هذه المدن الى بعل. هذه مساكنهم وانسابهم.
34 Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah son of Amaziah,	34 ومشوباب ويمليك ويوشا بن امصيا
35 Joel, Jehu son of Joshibiah, son of Seraiah, son of Asiel,	35 ويوئيل وياهو بن يوشبيا بن سرايا بن عسيئيل
36 Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah,	36 وأليوعيناي ويعقوبا ويشوحايا وعسايا وعديئيل ويسيميئيل وبنايا
37 Ziza, Ben-Shiphi, Ben-Allon, Ben-Jedaiah, Ben-Shimri, Ben-Shemaiah-	37 وزيزا بن شفعي بن الون بن يدايا بن شمري بن شمعيا.
38 these above named were princes in their clans in their ancestral home. Their numbers increasedenormously.	38 هؤلاء الواردون باسمائهم رؤساء في عشائرهم وبيوت آبائهم امتدوا كثيرا.
39 In search of pasture for their flocks, they spread from the Pass of Gerar to the eastern end of theval ey,	39 وساروا الى مدخل جدور الى شرقي الوادي ليفتشوا على مرعى لماشيتهم.
40 where they found good, fat pasture; the land was broad, untroubled, peaceful. Hamites had beenliving there before them.	40 فوجدوا مرعى خصبا وجيدا وكانت الارض واسعة الاطراف مستريحة ومطمئنة لان آل حام سكنوا هناك في القديم.
41 These Simeonites, recorded by name, arrived there in the time of Hezekiah king of Judah; theyoverran their tents and the dwellings which they found there. They put them under a curse of destruction stil inforce today and settled in their place, since there was pasturage for their flocks.	41 وجاء هؤلاء المكتوبة اسماؤهم في ايام حزقيا ملك يهوذا وضربوا خيمهم والمعونيين الذين وجدوا هناك وحرّموهم الى هذا اليوم وسكنوا مكانهم لان هناك مرعى لماشيتهم.
42 Five hundred of them, of the Simeonites, went to Mount Seir, their leaders being Pelatiah, Neariah,Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.	42 ومنهم من بني شمعون ذهب الى جبل سعير خمس مئة رجل وقدامهم فلطيا ونعريا ورافايا وعزّيئيل بنو يشعي.
43 They defeated the surviving fugitives of Amalek and still live there today.	43 وضربوا بقية المنفلتين من عماليق وسكنوا هناك الى هذا اليوم
