1 David asked, 'Is there anyone belonging to Saul's family left, to whom I might show faithful love forJonathan's sake?'	1 Allora David disse: Chi sa, se siavi rimaso alcuno della casa di Saul, a cui possa io far del bene per amore di Gionata?
2 Now Saul's family had a servant whose name was Ziba. When he had been summoned to David, theking said, 'Are you Ziba?' 'At your service,' he replied.	2 Ed eravi un servo della casa di Saul per nome Siba: e il re chiamatolo a se, gli disse: Se' tu Siba? e quegli rispose: Son quel desso io tuo servo.
3 The king said, 'Is there no one left, belonging to Saul's family, for me to treat with God's own faithfullove?' Ziba said to the king, 'There is stil one of Jonathan's sons. He has crippled feet.'	3 E il re soggiunse: Vi ha egli alcuno della casa di Saul, a cui io possa far del bene in buondato? E Siba rispose al re: È rimaso un figliuolo di Gionata, debole di gambe.
4 The king asked 'Where is he?' Ziba replied, 'He is living in the household of Machir son of Ammiel, atLo-Debar.'	4 E dove è egli? disse David. Rispose Siba: Egli è a Lodabar in casa di Machir figliuolo di Ammiel.

I shal restore all your grandfather Saul's estates to you, and you will always eat at my table.'	7 E David disse: Non temere, perocché io ti farò del bene assai per amore di Gionata padre tuo, e ti renderò tutti i poderi di Saul tuo avolo, e tu mangerai sempre alla mia mensa.
8 Meribbaal prostrated himself and said, 'Who is your servant, for you to show favour to a dead dog likeme?'	8 E quegli inchinatosi profondamente disse: Chi son io tuo servo, onde tu abbi voluto rivolger lo sguardo ad un cane morto, quale son io?
9 The king then summoned Saul's servant Ziba and said, 'Everything belonging to Saul and his family, Igive to your master's son.	9 David pertanto chiamò Siba servo di Saul, e gli disse: Io ho donato al figliuolo del tuo signore tutto quello che possedeva Saul, e tutti i beni della sua casa.
10 You must work the land for him, you and your sons and your slaves; you must harvest the produce toprovide food for your master's family to eat. But Meribbaal, your master's son, wil always take his own meals atmy table.' Now, Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty slaves.	10 Lavorate adunque le sue terre tu, e i tuoi figliuoli, e i tuoi garzoni, e darai da mangiare al figliuolo del tuo signore, e da mantenersi: ma Miphiboseth figliuolo del tuo signore mangerà sempre alla mia mensa. E Siba avea quindici figliuoli, e venti servi.
11 Ziba said to the king, 'Your servant wil do everything my lord the king has ordered his servant.' SoMeribbaal ate at David's table like one of the king's sons.	11 E Siba disse al re: II tuo servo farà, o re mio signore, come tu hai comandato: e Miphiboseth mangerà alla mia mensa, come uno de' figliuoli del re.
12 Meribbaal had a young son whose name was Micha. Al the people living in Ziba's household enteredMeribbaal's service.	12 Or Miphiboseth aveva un piccolo figliuolo per nome Micha: e tutta la famiglia di Siba serviva Miphiboseth.
