NEW JERUSALEM	Pattloch Bibel
1 But God had Noah in mind, and al the wild animals and all the cattle that were with him in the ark. Godsent a wind across the earth and the waters began to subside.	1 Gott gedachte des Noe, allen Wildes und aller Tiere, die mit ihm in der Arche waren, und er ließ einen Wind über die Erde hin wehen, so daß die Wasser sanken.
2 The springs of the deep and the sluices of heaven were stopped up and the heavy rain from heavenwas held back.	2 Die Quellen der Urflut versiegten, und die Fenster des Himmels wurden geschlossen, dem Regen ward vom Himmel her Einhalt geboten.
3 Little by little, the waters ebbed from the earth. After a hundred and fifty days the waters fel ,	3 Das Wasser sank auf der Erde mehr und mehr, und so nahm das Wasser ab nach einhundertfünfzig Tagen.
4 and in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountainsof Ararat.	4 Im siebten Monat, am siebzehnten Tage des Monats, ruhte die Arche auf dem Gebirge von Ararat.
5 The waters gradual y fell until the tenth month when, on the first day of the tenth month, the mountaintops appeared.	5 Die Fluten gingen bis zum zehnten Monat immer mehr zurück. Am ersten des zehnten Monats wurden die Gipfel der Berge sichtbar.
6 At the end of forty days Noah opened the window he had made in the ark	6 Nach vierzig Tagen tat Noe das Fenster der von ihm gebauten Arche auf.
7 and released a raven, which flew back and forth as it waited for the waters to dry up on earth.	7 Er ließ einen Raben ausfliegen; der flog hin und zurück, bis das Wasser von der Erde vertrocknet war.
8 He then released a dove, to see whether the waters were receding from the surface of the earth.	8 Da ließ er eine Taube hinaus, um zu sehen, ob der Wasserspiegel auf der Erdoberfläche gesunken sei.
9 But the dove, finding nowhere to perch, returned to him in the ark, for there was water over the wholesurface of the earth; putting out his hand he took hold of it and brought it back into the ark with him.	9 Die Taube fand aber keine Stätte für ihren Fuß und kehrte zu ihm in die Arche zurück; denn noch war Wasser auf der ganzen Erde. Noe streckte seine Hand aus, ergriff sie und nahm sie in die Arche zurück.
10 After waiting seven more days, he again released the dove from the ark.	10 Dann wartete er weitere sieben Tage und sandte wiederum die Taube aus der Arche.
11 In the evening, the dove came back to him and there in its beak was a freshly-picked olive leaf! SoNoah realised that the waters were receding from the earth.	11 Die Taube flog gegen Abend zu ihm zurück, aber siehe, sie trug ein frisches Ölblatt in ihrem Schnabel. Noe wußte nun, daß das Wasser auf Erden gefallen war.
12 After waiting seven more days, he released the dove, and now it returned to him no more.	12 Nach weiteren sieben Wartetagen schickte Noe die Taube wieder aus; sie kehrte nicht mehr zu ihm zurück.
13 It was in the six hundred and first year of Noah's life, in the first month and on the first of the month,that the waters began drying out on earth. Noah lifted back the hatch of the ark and looked out. The surface ofthe ground was dry!	13 Im 601. Lebensjahr des Noe, am ersten Tag des ersten Monats, war das Wasser auf dem Erdboden vertrocknet. Noe entfernte das Dach von der Arche; er schaute aus, und schon war die Erdoberfläche trocken.
14 In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry.	14 Am siebenundzwanzigsten Tage des zweiten Monats war die Erde trocken.
15 Then God said to Noah,	15 Da sprach Gott zu Noe:
16 'Come out of the ark, you, your wife, your sons, and your sons' wives with you.	16 "Geh aus der Arche, du und deine Frau, deine Söhne und die Frauen deiner Söhne mit dir!
17 Bring out all the animals with you, all living things, the birds, the cattle and al the creeping things thatcreep along the ground, for them to swarm on earth, for them to breed and multiply on earth.'	17 Alles Getier, das bei dir ist von allen Lebewesen, Vögel, Vieh und alle auf Erden kriechenden Tiere, laß mit dir hinaus; sie sollen sich tummeln auf Erden, fruchtbar sein und sich vermehren auf dem Erdboden!"
18 So Noah came out with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives.	18 Da ging Noe hinaus und seine Söhne, seine Frau und die Frauen seiner Söhne mit ihm.
19 And al the wild animals, al the cattle, al the birds and al the creeping things that creep along theground, came out of the ark, one species after another.	19 Alles Getier, alle Kriechtiere, alle Vögel, alles, was sich auf Erden regt, verließ, je nach seinen Sippen, die Arche.
20 Then Noah built an altar to Yahweh and, choosing from al the clean animals and all the clean birds hepresented burnt offerings on the altar.	20 Noe baute einen Altar für den Herrn, und von allen reinen Tieren und reinen Vögeln nahm er und brachte auf dem Altar Brandopfer dar.
21 Yahweh smelt the pleasing smell and said to himself, 'Never again wil I curse the earth because ofhuman beings, because their heart contrives evil from their infancy. Never again wil I strike down every livingthing as I have done.	21 Der Herr roch den lieblichen Wohlgeruch und sprach bei sich selbst: "Ich will fortan nicht noch einmal die Erde verfluchen um des Menschen willen; denn der Trieb des menschlichen Herzens ist zum Bösen geneigt von Jugend an. Fürderhin will ich alles Lebendige nicht mehr schlagen, wie ich es getan habe.
22 As long as earth endures: seed-time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and nightwil never cease.'	22 Solange die Erde steht, sollen Saat und Ernte, Frost und Hitze, Sommer und Winter, Tag und Nacht nicht mehr aufhören."
