1 Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ:	1 Judas, siervo de Jesucristo y hermano de Santiago, a los que son llamados, amados en Dios Padre y custodiados en Jesucristo:
2 may mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.	2 a vosotros, misericordia, paz y amor abundantes.
3 Beloved, although I was making every effort to write to you about our common salvation, I now feel a need to write to encourage you to contend for the faith that was once for all handed down to the holy ones.	3 Queridos míos, al poner todo mi empeño en escribiros acerca de nuestra común salvación, me he visto en la necesidad de hacerlo animándoos a combatir por la fe transmitida de una vez para siempre a los santos.
4 For there have been some intruders, who long ago were designated for this condemnation, godless persons, who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.	4 Pues se han infiltrado ciertos individuos cuya condenación está prescrita desde antiguo, impíos que han convertido en libertinaje la gracia de nuestro Dios y rechazan al único Soberano y Señor Jesucristo.
5 I wish to remind you, although you know all things, that (the) Lord who once saved a people from the land of Egypt later destroyed those who did not believe.	5 Aunque lo habéis conocido todo de una vez para siempre, quiero recordaros, sin embargo, que el Señor habiendo salvado al pueblo de la tierra de Egipto, después exterminó a los que no creyeron;
6 The angels too, who did not keep to their own domain but deserted their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains, in gloom, for the judgment of the great day.	6 y que a los ángeles que no se mantuvieron en su rango sino que abandonaron su propia morada los tiene guardados para el juicio del gran Día, atados en las tinieblas con cadenas perpetuas.
7 Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.	7 También Sodoma y Gomorra, con las ciudades circunvecinas, por haberse prostituido como aquellas y por haber practicado vicios contra naturaleza, quedan ahí como muestra, padeciendo la pena de un fuego eterno.
8 Similarly, these dreamers nevertheless also defile the flesh, scorn lordship, and revile glorious beings.	8 A pesar de ello, con estos soñadores pasa lo mismo, manchan la carne, rechazan todo señorío y blasfeman contra seres gloriosos.
9 Yet the archangel Michael, when he argued with the devil in a dispute over the body of Moses, did not venture to pronounce a reviling judgment upon him but said, "May the Lord rebuke you!"	9 El arcángel Miguel, cuando disputaba con el diablo y discutía sobre el cuerpo de Moisés, ni siquiera se atrevió a proferir una sentencia blasfema sino que dijo: «El Señor te reprima».
10 But these people revile what they do not understand and are destroyed by what they know by nature like irrational animals.	10 Estos, en cambio, blasfeman contra todo cuanto no conocen, e incluso se corrompen en lo que se aprende por instinto como los animales.
11 Woe to them! They followed the way of Cain, abandoned themselves to Balaam's error for the sake of gain, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.	11 ¡Ay de ellos! Porque tomaron el sendero de Caín, por dinero cayeron en la aberración de Balaán y perecieron en la rebelión de Coré.
12 These are blemishes on your love feasts, as they carouse fearlessly and look after themselves. They are waterless clouds blown about by winds, fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead and uprooted.	12 Estos, que banquetean sin recato y se apacientan a sí mismos, son una mancha en vuestros ágapes, nubes sin lluvia que los vientos se llevan; árboles otoñales y sin frutos que, arrancados de cuajo, mueren por segunda vez;
13 They are like wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shameless deeds, wandering stars for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved forever.	13 olas encrespadas del mar que arrojan la espuma de sus propias desvergüenzas; estrellas fugaces a las que aguarda la oscuridad eterna de las tinieblas.
14 Enoch, of the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied also about them when he said, "Behold, the Lord has come with his countless holy ones	14 De estos profetizó también Henoc, el séptimo después de Adán, al decir: «Mirad, viene el Señor con sus miríadas de ángeles
15 to execute judgment on all and to convict everyone for all the godless deeds that they committed and for all the harsh words godless sinners have uttered against him."	15 para dar sentencia contra todos y dejar convictos a todos los vivientes de todas las obras impías que cometieron y de todas las insolencias que los impíos pecadores profirieron contra él».
16 These people are complainers, disgruntled ones who live by their desires; their mouths utter bombast as they fawn over people to gain advantage.	16 Ellos son murmuradores y amigos de querellas que proceden como les da la gana y hablan pomposamente adulando a la gente en beneficio propio.
17 But you, beloved, remember the words spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,	17 En cambio vosotros, queridos míos, acordaos de las predicciones de los apóstoles de nuestro Señor Jesucristo;
18 for they told you, "In (the) last time there will be scoffers who will live according to their own godless desires."	18 pues os decían que en el tiempo final habrá gente burlona que actuará conforme a los propios deseos de impiedad.
19 These are the ones who cause divisions; they live on the natural plane, devoid of the Spirit.	19 Son estos los que crean discordias, animales que no tienen espíritu.
20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith; pray in the holy Spirit.	20 En cambio, vosotros, queridos míos, basándoos en vuestra santísima fe y orando movidos por el Espíritu Santo,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.	21 manteneos en el amor de Dios, aguardando la misericordia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo para la vida eterna.
22 On those who waver, have mercy;	22 Tened compasión con los que titubean,
23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; on others have mercy with fear, abhorring even the outer garment stained by the flesh.	23 a unos salvadlos arrancándolos del fuego, a otros mostradles compasión, pero con cautela, aborreciendo hasta el vestido que esté manchado por el vicio.
24 To the one who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you unblemished and exultant, in the presence of his glory,	24 Al que puede preservaros de tropiezos y presentaros intachables y exultantes ante su gloria,
25 to the only God, our savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord be glory, majesty, power, and authority from ages past, now, and for ages to come. Amen.	25 al Dios único, nuestro Salvador, por medio de Jesucristo, nuestro Señor, sea la gloria y majestad, el poder y la soberanía desde siempre, ahora y por todos los siglos. Amén.
