1 Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ:	1 Giuda, servo di Gesù Cristo, fratello di Giacomo, ai chiamati, in Dio Padre prediletti e per Gesù Cristo custoditi.
2 may mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.	2 Misericordia e pace e carità siano a voi donate in abbondanza.
3 Beloved, although I was making every effort to write to you about our common salvation, I now feel a need to write to encourage you to contend for the faith that was once for all handed down to the holy ones.	3 Carissimi, sempre sollecito di scrivervi per la nostra salvezza comune, sento ora la necessità di scrivervi per esortarvi a lottare per la fede consegnata ai santi una volta per tutte.
4 For there have been some intruders, who long ago were designated for this condemnation, godless persons, who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.	4 Difatti si intrusero tra voi certi individui i quali già da tempo sono stati fissati per la condanna di cui vi parlerò; empi, che cambiano in dissolutezza la grazia del Dio nostro e rinnegano il nostro unico Padrone e Signore, Gesù Cristo.
5 I wish to remind you, although you know all things, that (the) Lord who once saved a people from the land of Egypt later destroyed those who did not believe.	5 Voglio ricordare a voi, che pure già una volta avete appreso tutto questo, che il Signore, liberato il popolo dalla terra d’Egitto, più tardi sterminò quelli che furono increduli,
6 The angels too, who did not keep to their own domain but deserted their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains, in gloom, for the judgment of the great day.	6 e mise sotto custodia nel regno delle tenebre per il giudizio del gran giorno, avvinti in catene eterne, di angeli che non hanno mantenuto la loro dignità, ma hanno abbandonato la propria dimora;
7 Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.	7 così come Sodoma e Gomorra e le città vicine, che allo stesso modo si abbandonarono alla lussuria e ai vizi contro natura, stanno là come esempio, subendo il castigo di un fuoco eterno.
8 Similarly, these dreamers nevertheless also defile the flesh, scorn lordship, and revile glorious beings.	8 Anche costoro, poveri allucinati, contaminano la carne, sprezzano la Sovranità, bestemmiano le Glorie.
9 Yet the archangel Michael, when he argued with the devil in a dispute over the body of Moses, did not venture to pronounce a reviling judgment upon him but said, "May the Lord rebuke you!"	9 Invece l’arcangelo Michele, duenco discuteva col demonio per disputargli il corpo di Mosè, non osò lanciare contro di lui nessun giudizio offensivo, ma disse: «Ti reprima il Signore!»
10 But these people revile what they do not understand and are destroyed by what they know by nature like irrational animals.	10 Ma questi bestemmiano ciò che non capiscono, mentre ciò che conoscono naturalmente, come gli animali senza ragione, diventa per loro strumento di corruzione.
11 Woe to them! They followed the way of Cain, abandoned themselves to Balaam's error for the sake of gain, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.	11 Guai a loro, perché sono andati sulla via di Caino e, per guadagno, si sono abbandonati al traviamento di Balaam e son periti nella rivolta di Core!
12 These are blemishes on your love feasts, as they carouse fearlessly and look after themselves. They are waterless clouds blown about by winds, fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead and uprooted.	12 Nelle vostre agapi costoro sono delle macchie: banchettano con voi senza ritegno, pascendo se stessi; nubi senz’acqua, qua e là trascinate dal vento; alberi di fine autunno, infruttiferi, morti due volte, sradicati;
13 They are like wild waves of the sea, foaming up their shameless deeds, wandering stars for whom the gloom of darkness has been reserved forever.	13 onde infuriate del mare che schiumano la loro vergogna; stelle cadenti a cui è per sempre riservata l’oscurità della tenebra.
14 Enoch, of the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied also about them when he said, "Behold, the Lord has come with his countless holy ones	14 Di essi pure ha profetizzato Enoch, il settimo discendente di Adamo, dicendo: «Ecco è venuto il Signore tra le sue sante miriadi,
15 to execute judgment on all and to convict everyone for all the godless deeds that they committed and for all the harsh words godless sinners have uttered against him."	15 per tenere il giudizio contro tutti e convincere tutti gli empi di tutte le empie opere che empiamente commisero, e di tutte le insolenze che, da empi peccatori, proferirono contro di lui».
16 These people are complainers, disgruntled ones who live by their desires; their mouths utter bombast as they fawn over people to gain advantage.	16 Son dei brontoloni, costoro; scontenti della loro sorte, agiscono secondo il capriccio delle loro passioni, la loro bocca dice parole grosse, mentre son pieni, per interesse, di preferenze e favoritismi.
17 But you, beloved, remember the words spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,	17 Ma voi o carissimi, ricordate quanto già vi fu predetto dagli apostoli del Signore nostro, Gesù Cristo,
18 for they told you, "In (the) last time there will be scoffers who will live according to their own godless desires."	18 quando vi dicevano; «Nell’ultimo tempo ci saranno degli schernitori, che cammineranno secondo le loro empie cupidigie».
19 These are the ones who cause divisions; they live on the natural plane, devoid of the Spirit.	19 Sono costoro i fautori di divisioni, sensuali, privi dello Spirito.
20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith; pray in the holy Spirit.	20 Voi invece, o carissimi, edificando voi stessi sulla vostra fede santissima, pregando nello Spirito Santo,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.	21 conservatevi nell’amore di Dio, nell'attesa della misericordia del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo per la vita eterna.
22 On those who waver, have mercy;	22 Quanti sono esitanti, stimolateli;
23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; on others have mercy with fear, abhorring even the outer garment stained by the flesh.	23 altri salvateli strappandoli dal fuoco; di altri abbiate pietà, ma con timore, avendo in orrore persino la tunica contaminata dal loro corpo.
24 To the one who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you unblemished and exultant, in the presence of his glory,	24 A colui che può custodirvi immuni da cadute e porvi davanti alla sua gloria irreprensibili nell’esultanza,
25 to the only God, our savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord be glory, majesty, power, and authority from ages past, now, and for ages to come. Amen.	25 all’unico Dio salvatore nostro, per Gesù Cristo Signore nostro, gloria, maestà, forza e potenza, prima di tutti i secoli e ora e per tutti i secoli. Amen!
