1 The heads of the Levite families came up to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua, son of Nun, and to the heads of families of the other tribes of the Israelites	1 Os chefes de família dos levitas vieram ter com o sacerdote Eleazar, com Josué, filho de Nun, e com os chefes de família das tribos israelitas,
2 at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, and said to them, "The LORD commanded, through Moses, that cities be given us to dwell in, with pasture lands for our livestock."	2 e disseram-lhes em Silo, na terra de Canaã: O Senhor ordenou por Moisés que se nos dessem cidades para habitarmos, e juntamente seus arredores para nossos animais.
3 Out of their own heritage, in obedience to this command of the LORD, the Israelites gave the Levites the following cities with their pasture lands.	3 E os israelitas deram, pois, de suas possessões, as seguintes cidades com seus arrabaldes aos levitas, segundo a ordem do Senhor:
4 When the first lot among the Levites fell to the clans of the Kohathites, the descendants of Aaron the priest obtained thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin.	4 A sorte foi lançada para as famílias dos caatitas; e os levitas, filhos do sacerdote Aarão, obtiveram por sorte treze cidades das tribos de Judá, de Simeão e de Benjamim;
5 The rest of the Kohathites obtained ten cities by lot from the clans of the tribe of Ephraim, from the tribe of Dan, and from the half-tribe of Manasseh.	5 os outros filhos de Caat obtiveram por sorte dez cidades das famílias das tribos de Efraim, de Dã e da meia tribo de Manassés.
6 The Gershonites obtained thirteen cities by lot from the clans of the tribe of Issachar, from the tribe of Asher, from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the half-tribe of Manasseh.	6 Tocaram por sorte aos filhos de Gérson treze cidades das famílias das tribos de Issacar, de Aser, de Neftali e da meia tribo de Manassés em Basã.
7 The clans of the Merarites obtained twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun.	7 Os filhos de Merari, segundo suas famílias, obtiveram doze cidades das tribos de Rubem, de Gad e de Zabulon.
8 These cities with their pasture lands the Israelites allotted to the Levites in obedience to the LORD'S command through Moses.	8 Os israelitas deram aos levitas essas cidades com seus arrabaldes, repartindo-as por sorte, como o Senhor tinha ordenado por Moisés.
9 From the tribes of the Judahites and Simeonites they designated the following cities,	9 Da tribo dos juditas e da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, deram as cidades cujos nomes seguem.
10 and assigned them to the descendants of Aaron in the Kohathite clan of the Levites, since the first lot fell to them:	10 Elas.foram dadas aos filhos de Aarão dentre as famílias dos caatitas, filhos de Levi, a quem caiu a primeira sorte.

17 From the tribe of Benjamin they obtained the four cities of Gibeon with its pasture lands, Geba with its pasture lands,	17 Da tribo de Benjamim deram-lhes Gabaon e seus arredores,

19 These cities which with their pasture lands belonged to the priestly descendants of Aaron, were thirteen in all.	19 Total das cidades dos sacerdotes, filhos de Aarão: treze cidades com seus arredores.
20 The rest of the Kohathite clans among the Levites obtained by lot, from the tribe of Ephraim, four cities.	20 Os levitas das outras famílias dos filhos de Caat receberam por sorte cidades da tribo de Efraim.

26 These cities which with their pasture lands belonged to the rest of the Kohathite clans were ten in all.	26 Total: dez cidades com seus arredores para as famílias dos outros filhos de Caat.
27 The Gershonite clan of the Levites received from the half-tribe of Manasseh two cities: the city of asylum for homicides at Golan, with its pasture lands; and also Beth-ashtaroth with its pasture lands.	27 Aos filhos de Gérson, uma das famílias de Levi, foram dadas da meia tribo de Manassés: Gaulon, cidade de refúgio para o homicida, em Basã, com seus arredores, e Bosra com seus arredores; duas cidades.

32 and from the tribe of Naphtali, three cities: the city of asylum for homicides at Kedesh in Galilee, with its pasture lands; also Hammath with its pasture lands, and Rakkath with its pasture lands.	32 Da tribo de Neftali, Cedes na Galiléia, cidade de refúgio para o homicida, e seus arredores, Hamat-Dor e seus arredores. Cartã e seus arredores; três cidades.
33 These cities which with their pasture lands belonged to the Gershonite clans were thirteen in all.	33 Total das cidades dos gersonitas segundo suas famílias: treze cidades com seus arredores.
34 The Merarite clans, the last of the Levites, received from the tribe of Zebulun the four cities of Jokneam with its pasture lands, Kartah with its pasture lands,	34 Às famílias dos filhos de Merari, o resto dos levitas, deram, da tribo de Zabulon, Jecnão e seus arredores, Carta e seus arredores,

37 Kedemoth with its pasture lands, and Mephaath with its pasture lands;	37 Cedemot e seus arredores, Mefaat e seus arredores; quatro cidades.
38 and from the tribe of Gad a total of four cities: the city of asylum for homicides at Ramoth in Gilead with its pasture lands, also Mahanaim with its pasture lands,	38 Da tribo de Gad: a cidade de refúgio para o homicida, Ramot em Galaad e seus arredores, Manaim e seus arredores,
39 Heshbon with its pasture lands, and Jazer with its pasture lands.	39 Hesebon e seus arredores, Jaser e seus arredores; ao todo, quatro cidades.
40 The cities which were allotted to the Merarite clans, the last of the Levites, were therefore twelve in all.	40 Total das cidades dadas por sorte aos filhos de Merari segundo suas famílias, que formavam o resto dos levitas: doze cidades.
41 Thus the total number of cities within the territory of the Israelites which, with their pasture lands, belonged to the Levites, was forty-eight.	41 Total das cidades dos levitas no meio das possessões dos israelitas: quarenta e oito cidades com seus arredores.

44 the LORD gave them peace on every side, just as he had promised their fathers. 45 Not a single promise that the LORD made to the house of Israel was broken; every one was fulfilled.	45 Não falhou nenhuma de todas as boas palavras que o Senhor tinha dito a Israel. Todas se cumpriram.
