1 In Iconium they entered the Jewish synagogue together and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks came to believe,	1 Aconteceu em Icónio que, segundo o seu proceder habitual, entraram juntos na sinagoga dos Judeus e falaram de tal modo que muitos Judeus e Gregos abraçaram a fé.
2 although the disbelieving Jews stirred up and poisoned the minds of the Gentiles against the brothers.	2 Mas os Judeus, que permaneceram incrédulos, excitaram e fizeram irritar os ânimos dos gentios contra os irmãos.
3 So they stayed for a considerable period, speaking out boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the word about his grace by granting signs and wonders to occur through their hands.	3 Por isso demoraram-se ali muito tempo, trabalhando cheios de coragem e de confiança no Senhor, que confirmava a palavra da sua graça, concedendo que fossem operados por suas mãos prodígios e milagres.
4 The people of the city were divided: some were with the Jews; others, with the apostles.	4 Dividiu-se o povo da cidade: uns eram pelos Judeus, outros pelos Apóstolos.
5 When there was an attempt by both the Gentiles and the Jews, together with their leaders, to attack and stone them,	5 Mas, levantando-se um motim dos gentios e dos Judeus com os seus chefes, para os ultrajar e apedrejar,
6 they realized it and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding countryside,	6 tendo eles sabido isto, refugiaram-se nas cidades de Licaóuia, Listra e Derbe, e em toda aquela região em circuito.
7 where they continued to proclaim the good news.	7 Aí pregavam o Evangelho.
8 At Lystra there was a crippled man, lame from birth, who had never walked.	8 Ora em Listra havia um homem, leso dos pés, coxo de nascença, o qual nunca tinha andado.
9 He listened to Paul speaking, who looked intently at him, saw that he had the faith to be healed,	9 Este (homem) ouvia pregar Paulo, o qual, pondo nele os olhos e vendo que tinha fé de que seria curado,
10 and called out in a loud voice, "Stand up straight on your feet." He jumped up and began to walk about.	10 disse em alta voz: "Levanta-te direito sobre os teus pés." Ele levantou-se de um salto e pós-se a andar.
11 When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they cried out in Lycaonian, "The gods have come down to us in human form."	11 A multidão ao ver o que Paulo fizera, levantou a voz, dizendo em língua licaónica: "Estes são deuses que baixaram até nós em forma de homens."
12 They called Barnabas "Zeus" and Paul "Hermes," because he was the chief speaker.	12 E chamavam a Barnabé Zeus, e a Paulo Hermes, porque era este que (lhes) dirigia a palavra.
13 And the priest of Zeus, whose temple was at the entrance to the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, for he together with the people intended to offer sacrifice.	13 Além disso, o sacerdote de Zeus, que estava à entrada da cidade, trazendo para diante das portas touros com grinaldas, queria oferecer um sacrifício com o povo.
14 The apostles Barnabas and Paul tore their garments when they heard this and rushed out into the crowd, shouting,	14 Mas os Apóstolos Barnabé e Paulo, ao terem conhecimento disto, rasgando as suas túnicas, precipitaram-se para o meio do povo, clamando:
15 "Men, why are you doing this? We are of the same nature as you, human beings. We proclaim to you good news that you should turn from these idols to the living God, 'who made heaven and earth and sea and all that is in them.'	15 "Ó homens, que ides fazer? Nós também somos homens de natureza igual à vossa, que vos pregamos que vos convertais destas coisas vãs ao Deus vivo, que fez o céu, a terra, o mar e tudo o que há neles.
16 In past generations he allowed all Gentiles to go their own ways;	16 Nos séculos passados, permitiu que todas as nações seguissem os seus caminhos.
17 yet, in bestowing his goodness, he did not leave himself without witness, for he gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, and filled you with nourishment and gladness for your hearts."	17 Todavia não se deixou a si mesmo sem testemunho, fazendo benefícios, dando chuvas do céu e estações favoráveis para os frutos, dando em abundância o mantimento e a alegria aos vossos corações."
18 Even with these words, they scarcely restrained the crowds from offering sacrifice to them.	18 Dizendo isto, a custo puderam impedir o povo de lhes oferecer sacrifícios.
19 However, some Jews from Antioch and Iconium arrived and won over the crowds. They stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing that he was dead.	19 Então sobrevieram de Antioquia e de Icónio alguns Judeus que, tendo aliciado a multidão, apedrejaram Paulo e o arrastaram para fora da cidade, julgando que estivesse morto.
20 But when the disciples gathered around him, he got up and entered the city. On the following day he left with Barnabas for Derbe.	20 Mas, rodeado dos discípulos, levantou-se e entrou na cidade. No dia seguinte, partiu com Barnabé para Derbe.
21 After they had proclaimed the good news to that city and made a considerable number of disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch.	21 Tendo evangelizado aquela cidade e feito muitos discípulos, voltaram para Listra, Icónio e Antioquia,
22 They strengthened the spirits of the disciples and exhorted them to persevere in the faith, saying, "It is necessary for us to undergo many hardships to enter the kingdom of God."	22 confortando as almas dos discípulos, e exortando-os a perseverar na fé, (dizendo) que é por muitas tribulações que devemos entrar no reino de Deus.
23 They appointed presbyters for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, commended them to the Lord in whom they had put their faith.	23 Por fim, tendo constituído para cada Igreja presbíteros, depois de terem feito oração e jejuado, encomendaram-nos ao Senhor, em quem tinham crido.
24 Then they traveled through Pisidia and reached Pamphylia.	24 Em seguida, atravessando a Pisídia, foram à Panfília,
25 After proclaiming the word at Perga they went down to Attalia.	25 e, anunciada a palavra do Senhor em Perge, desceram a Atália.
26 From there they sailed to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work they had now accomplished.	26 Dali navegaram para Antioquia, donde tinham sido recomendados à graça de Deus para a obra que tinham concluído.
27 And when they arrived, they called the church together and reported what God had done with them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.	27 Tendo chegado e reunido a Igreja, contaram tudo o que Deus havia feito com eles e como tinha aberto a porta da fé aos gentios. Depois detiveram-se com os discípulos não pouco tempo.
28 Then they spent no little time with the disciples.
