1 Now the Reubenites and Gadites had a very large number of livestock. Noticing that the land of Jazer and of Gilead was grazing country,	1 I figli di Ruben e i figli di Gad avevano una quantità grande di bestiame: quando videro che la terra di Iazer e la terra di Galaad era un posto da bestiame,

8 That is just what your fathers did when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to reconnoiter the land.	8 Così fecero i vostri padri, quando li mandai da Kades-Barnea a vedere la terra:

17 but we ourselves will march as troops in the van of the Israelites, until we have led them to their destination. 25 The Gadites and Reubenites answered Moses, "Your servants will do as you command, my lord.	25 I figli di Gad e i figli di Ruben dissero a Mosè: "I tuoi servi faranno come ordina il mio signore.
26 While our wives and children, our herds and other livestock remain in the towns of Gilead,	26 I nostri figli, le nostre donne, i nostri armenti e tutto il nostro bestiame rimarranno nelle città di Galaad,
27 all your servants will go across as armed troops to battle before the LORD, just as your lordship says."	27 e i tuoi servi, ogni armato dell'esercito, passerà davanti al Signore in guerra, come dice il mio signore".
28 Moses, therefore, gave this order in their regard to the priest Eleazar, to Joshua, son of Nun, and to the heads of the ancestral tribes of the Israelites:	28 Mosè diede ordini per loro al sacerdote Eleazaro, a Giosuè, figlio di Nun e ai capifamiglia delle tribù dei figli d'Israele.
