1 Oracle on the wastelands by the sea: Like whirlwinds sweeping in waves through the Negeb, there comes from the desert, from the fearful land,	1 Oráculo sobre el desierto del mar. ¡Como torbellinos que pasan por el Négueb, él viene del desierto, de un país temible!
2 A cruel sight, revealed to me: the traitor betrays, the despoiler spoils. "Go up, Elam; besiege, O Media; I will put an end to all groaning!"	2 Una visión siniestra me ha sido revelada; el traidor traiciona, el devastador devasta. «¡Sube, Elam, al asedio, medos! Yo hago cesar todos los gemidos».
3 Therefore my loins are filled with anguish, pangs have seized me like those of a woman in labor; I am too bewildered to hear, too dismayed to look.	3 Por eso mis entrañas se sienten convulsionadas; me asaltan los dolores, dolores como los del parto. Me desconcierta lo que oigo, me espanta lo que veo.
4 My mind reels, shuddering assails me; My yearning for twilight has turned into dread.	4 Se extravía mi mente, el pánico me aterra; el crepúsculo que ansiaba se ha vuelto para mí un horror.
5 They set the table, spread out the rugs; they eat, they drink. Rise up, O princes, oil the shield!	5 Se pone la mesa, se extiende el tapiz, se come, se bebe. ¡De pie, príncipes, engrasen el escudo!
6 For thus says my Lord to me: Go, station a watchman, let him tell what he sees.	6 Porque así me ha hablado el Señor: ¡Ve, aposta al centinela, que anuncie lo que vea!
7 If he sees a chariot, a pair of horses, Someone riding an ass, someone riding a camel, Then let him pay heed, very close heed.	7 Si ve gente a caballo, parejas de jinetes, hombres montados en asnos, hombres montados en camellos, que preste atención, mucha atención».
8 Then the watchman cried, "On the watchtower, O my Lord, I stand constantly by day; And I stay at my post through all the watches of the night.	8 Entonces gritó el vigía: «Sobre la atalaya, Señor, estoy siempre de pie, todo el día; en mi puesto de guardia, estoy alerta toda la noche.
9 Here he comes now: a single chariot, a pair of horses; He calls out and says, 'Fallen, fallen is Babylon, And all the images of her gods are smashed to the ground.'"	9 ¡Ha caído, ha caído Babilonia, y todas las estatuas de sus dioses se han hecho añicos contra el suelo!».
10 O my people who have been threshed, beaten on my threshing floor! What I have heard from the LORD of hosts, The God of Israel, I have announced to you.	10 ¡Pueblo mío, trillado y aventado en la era, lo que oí del Señor de los ejércitos el Dios de Israel, te lo he anunciado!
11 Oracle on Edom: They call to me from Seir, "Watchman, how much longer the night? Watchman, how much longer the night?"	11 Oráculo sobre Dumá. Alguien me grita desde Seír: «Centinela, ¿cuánto queda de la noche? Centinela, ¿cuánto queda de la noche?».
12 The watchman replies, "Morning has come, and again night. If you will ask, ask; come back again."	12 El centinela responde: «Llega la mañana y de nuevo la noche. Si quieren preguntar, pregunten; vengan otra vez».
13 Oracle on Arabia: In the thicket in the nomad country spend the night, O caravans of Dedanites.	13 Oráculo en la estepa. Entre las malezas, en la estepa, ustedes pasarán la noche, caravanas de los dedanitas.
14 Meet the thirsty, bring them water; you who dwell in the land of Tema, greet the fugitives with bread.	14 Lleven agua al encuentro de los sedientos, habitantes del país de Temá, saltan a recibir con pan a los fugitivos
15 They flee from the sword, from the whetted sword; From the taut bow, from the fury of battle.	15 Porque ellos huyen ante las espadas ante la espada desenvainada, ante el arco tendido, ante el encarnizamiento del combate.
16 For thus says the Lord to me: In another year, like those of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar shall come to an end.	16 Porque así me ha hablado el Señor: «Dentro de un año, computado como los años de un mercenario, se habrá terminado toda la gloria de Quedar.
17 Few of Kedar's stalwart archers shall remain, for the LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken.	17 Y el resto de los arqueros de los valientes hijos de Quedar será muy poca cosa. Porque ha hablado el Señor, el Dios de Israel».
